1. I just ran a quote and they are certainly cheaper than my stuff used to be with Robertson Taylor. Are you using the MU £2K automatic cover to reduce the excess?
2. Buy a small headphone amp of ebay (cmoy ones seem ok - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Micro-Cmoy-headphone...=item3a5ed06d94 kind of thing) and run a line into that and monitor yourself on one side of a pair of walkman in ear things. If you are going to blister (and you will) then rub your fingertips in some superglue before you start. No, really.
3. You should try giving it a leopard skin jacket. If I was not happily married I would be pulling like a tractor.
4.
Two and a half year bump. Impressive!
Respect!
5. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
6. I don't know anything about them, but I want one! A nice set of plastic wrapped strings and it would be superb.

8. A bump purely for the thrill of seeing something I could actually pick up for a change (hi Paul!). Mind you, I do not have the funds
9. The strings are no longer tacky. Just so that you know.
10.
Haven't ried a Nash but I know a UK guy who does the same thing. Haven't tried his basses, but his guitars are sweet, drop him a line http://www.kingswoodcustomrelics.com/
I dropped him a line. He does not do basses.
11.
no steel in these Owen, i also have a set of Prestos, pretty similar to Silver Slaps except they do have some steel under the nylon, both very low tension with a gut vibe to them http://www.presto-strings.com/doublebass.html £50 posted
Ho hum, no metal means tricky bowing. Sadness.
12. Do these have any other covering apart from metal? I love my Innovation Rockabillys but cannot bow them. I'm guessing these are Rockabillys with no black wrap?

14. I'm glad that I am rubbish at guitar, otherwise I would have to have that..

19. I Have a 66 J. If it had a B string I would not play or own any other bass guitars. As it is, I hardly ever play it but cannot bring myself to move it on. I am respecting Beedster's attitude to moving his 64P. I am a sentimental old fool.
