New to the recording lark, what headphones would you recommend?
wrinkleygit replied to vmaxblues's topic in Recording
If you can afford around the £120 mark try good old beyer dt100 or dt150's , the 100 are good all purpose h'phones , ideal if you want them for hifi use as well, the 150 has a little more bass response ,great if you practice bass thro phones .Used to have some 100/s, but settled on a pair of 150's when I needed new phones earlier this year, more than happy with them also comfy for long term use, try as many different sorts as you can tho ,if they don't feel comfy on your head you probably won't be happy in the long run, best of luck, mike b. -
Damn, never mind I'm in no hurry tho' so would be happy to put this on hold for a while to see how you get on with the roland, a backup 5er is what I would realy like .Used to have a 750 roadster some years ago, but the wet sumping drove me mad (until I fitted an oil tap combined with an ign switch on it) also the high fuel cons & small fuel tank was a pain, went like a scalded cat tho, great fun to ride, keep in touch, mike b.

Whatever you do, don't spray WD40 into pots to stop them crackling, always use proper electrical/switch cleaner, -

All PM's replied to , despite the low price which was mean't to allow for the fact that it's cash on collection only (see opening post) this is still in my possesion, I don't wan't to accept money without the bass collected as morally I would feel that I could not spend those funds while I still posses the bass which defeats the object of the sale, I have missed out on one project thro lack of liquid assets & at this moment another is slipping away from me. If it does not move quickly I will abandon my new venture for the time being & place it with Manson's of Exeter as a commision sale where the asking price will obviously be much higher, sadly cash is king, mike b.

Hate to do this but I need funds elsewhere, nearly sold her & then withdrawn, but this time she has to go, much has been already written on this forum about her ,2003 build if I remember rightly, all pickup selections working correctly comes with a case, cash on collection only from sunny Devon, close to M5 junc 28 ( no trades & please don't insult with lower offer) price reflects Devon might be a bit out of the way for some, crazy sale at £600 . Need to fund a new project, as I haven't used it for a while & cut down on the number of gigs decided to put this up for sale, tried lots of fretless in my quest for the best & settled on this one ,I'm sure there will be "if only it didn't have lines on the neck" but I have played many different fretless basses & couldn't tell the difference in sound between lined or unlined necks . Plays superbly & comes with hiscox case, cash on collection only from sunny devon, close to M5 junc 28, lot of bass for little money @ £900 or try a trade, [attachment=88397:ov1.jpg] [attachment=88398:ov2.jpg]
