  1. As you all saw I listed mine for sale.

Following my last studio date and even though I had positive feedback about the sound. I’ve found I don’t need the capo doing the work of the studio outboard gear, that’s why I’m in the studio.

I’d much rather the engineer is dialing me in his side than at my feet.

I want and enjoy changing basses in the studio so I’m better running 2-3 separate chains.

This is my “gig” for the foreseeable future and in reviewing the recordings I’m happiest with my countryman.

I think done buying “tone” pedals, it’s weird stuff now going forward or it’s nothing 😅

  2. I can totally see why I overlooked B side.

Maybe it will grow on me.

Recent feedback in the studio was the A side with whatever settings I threw down was the signal that needed the least doing to it/was the closest to what they’d apply with pres and comps when tracking.

Something about it still makes me want to sell it all the time 😅

  3. Wasn’t sure about this, I’ve hardly used it. Took it to the studio yesterday and I can’t hear the difference between this and my Groove Tube Ditto or the Clean DI out on my JF Capo.

Probably the snobbery and the 12vac that bothers me about it.

What I should do is sell everything else and buy 2 of these and find an AC power supply thats more pedalboard/gigbag friendly

Either way, hardly used it, likely never will, got to clear out one of my 27 million di’s and preamps.

    Grab a bargain.

    Includes box and power supply

    Open to offers and trades

  4. A former favourite of mine but something about it just bugs me and I’ve got the luxury of being able to have something bigger for practice.

Great practice tool, built in bluetooth to connect to your phone. I’ve used it as a recording interface with the usb c out.

No box, no cable (it’s usb c, just use your phone charger), just the plug…. which you can plug and erm well play.

Open to offers and trades on a TC Polytune 3 or Peterson Strobostomp HD (cash from me)

  5. I’d probably go for my Ditto in a DI only situation but most of the time I go to a Countryman Type 10.

I tried the summit, ditto, khan and reddi out together. They are all very very similar. All sound great and any differences are hard to explain, could disappear with a touch on the tone knob or a tiny bit of eq.

I’ll be comparing the countryman and ditto in the studio on Tuesday but I like that I can push the front of a pre with the gain on the ditto.

The summit has the benefit of a 1/4 inch out with the tube signal which the reddi and ditto don’t. Khan does but then no gain and no impedance control.

Then it also has a headphone out which was my main use until I got the Camden which has the aux in which I use with a Bluetooth adapter.

Also it’ll (summit) fit in a rack case or gig bag front pocket.

Really it depends on your needs, and how much you want to lug to a gig. The reddi is twice as long as my ditto and my ditto I have in its own small peli which is awkward when moving through a city with my gruv gear kapsule. In this situation the summit or Camden fit in the bag.

If you’ve stayed with me this far, I clearly have too much gear 😅

Interesting, the question we are all pondering is what is your preferred pre/di

i am currently mulling over a REDDI or possibly a Wayne Jones 🤔

    Cranborne Audio Camden EC1 😇

All @Sibob’s fault and I recently got to try it and this Summit against the Reddi and Noble (and Khan and I still have my Capo and Ditto Tube DI)

There is a feature set thing that makes the Camden better for my needs than the Summit but the sound is incredible and I’ve found little benefit running the Summit into the Camden, I’m still undecided on running the Ditto (at a high gain) into it, as that did sound special.

Capo I haven’t tried with it and either way everything else will be in addition to the Camden (mainly due to feature set)

I’ve always used a heavier gauge set on my shorties than the longies. Don’t know where I got the advice from; all mine are 50-105. I find I can easily pull the G off the fretboard on my G&L if I don’t do this…..crack handed, that’s me.

Same, the 105-50 D’addario Chromes for me.

  8. Yeah I travelled with one of those until May last year.

Don't love it, it’s solid but you can’t get anything but the bass in it and very few decent gig bags fit in it these days.

I mean the SKB posted above that I didn’t quote properly.

I’ll probably be selling mine soon and get a second Kapsule.

I don’t disagree that an android app would have been good - but my brain also wondered why they hadn’t so I dug into it a bit more …

globally today android makes up 75% - but in 2011-2012 when the ms100bt would have been in development the market leader would have been symbianOS - with a clear change coming in 2012 towards android and iOS

In the U.K. in 2012 when the ms100bt came out iOS 43% market share

    android was third with 25%
    For 2022 it’s closer to 52% iOS 48% android

for the US Android is even further behind as 2nd most popular.

    49/40 in 2012

    48/42 in 2023

from what I can read 2012 android is fractionally more popular in japan but in 2012 far less Japanese people had smartphones compared to the US and it was the year that apple became the most popular phone brand…

Last 12 months is 67% iOS 32% android

so from what I can work out, if you were going to make an app for the markets where you were selling gear, then iOS would still possibly make sense. I wonder if the 100bt was based on pressure to have something like it in the US or something- from what I can make out it didn’t sell amazingly and had a convoluted “effect store” thing that they eventually binned - with small sales and android being less of a thing in japan spending the ¥ to port it over to android wouldn’t be a priority

Yeah I always steer well clear of the Android iOS debate. For some people it’s near religious.

The 100BT is a clear money grab, those additional fx were 99p in app purchases.

I think it fell flat on its face because if you buy the 60b you likely don’t need other effects, same with the 70cdr etc etc, sure it’s nice to be able to hack the devices but I find I run a near stock 60b with then a few extra verbs.

The fx then became free, at which point I imagine all future development was abandoned. Which is why you can load fx but can’t backup presets or settings.

The new + models seem like the app will handle this

My first hour with the BT I thought this is the best of the bunch but after that hour of slowly loading fx one by one and doing all the free in app purchases, then finding I can’t save anything or load my existing patches I just felt I can have a bunch of 60b’s I can flash with the settings of the others.

ITDAA you'd think they'd sell one type of unit and let you install whichever software suited you.

Rather than separate bass and guitar models, let the user decide.

Surely more cost effective than producing different bodies.

Don’t know if the colour change and screen print differences cost so much if they can bulk order the shells.

Also I think a lot of people would find the process of doing what you suggest intimidating.

It’s basically what the 100BT is and they are the least popular model.

Apparently saying the MS100BT has now been discontinued by Zoom?

It was never that popular or easy to find. iOS only etc, on one hand it’s great you can add fx over bluetooth but you can’t backup or share settings so as a duplicate pedal to another MS it gets really tedious setting it up.

I have a 60B, 70CDR and 100BT. They all just fulfil the need of a misc effect when required or something I can throw down at a jam and be away running on batteries.

I have loads of issues with them but they are still the best at what they do.

  12. Great condition and fully working, just I’ve gone through a slew of preamps and DI boxes and am now culling back based on my preferences.

These have become very expensive new but are still fantastic DI boxes

Running on 230v but will include a spare fuse so you can switch it to 110v if you travel/tour.

Very simple process, just I had it in the states with me recently if you notice the 110v setting in the pictures, don’t want anyone freaking out. It will arrive to you on 230v 👍

I’m open to offers, trades, anything interesting.
