  1. That was utterly brilliant
  2. Indeedy I've just sold a bass, my Aria PRO ll SB 900 , which weighed 10lbs +, and the whole packed weight was 111 kg I mean 11 kg
  3. Nah, its monster double packed. Packing weighs more than the bass
  4. Ha! You've been here long enough to know
  5. Its alright. He saw 168 lbs on his scales and then converted online to KG's. I think he missed the decimal point , 16.8 lbs. It must be an old fashioned weighing machine if it doesnt show KG's Phew etc
  6. It would be ace of spades for heavy metal
  7. Currently in PM's with a bass seller here, and his bass, packaged , weighs 77kg. I said you mean 7.7kg ?? He insisted its 77kg. So the packaging weighs in the region of 73kg, give or take. I'm going to have to decline. My TE combo weighs half that and i can barely lift it
  8. I bet BBC ate it. Am i right your Skankness ?
  9. Fret crowing ? I believe this might be shaping a Raven. In fact, any Corvid will do
  10. Like a few here, i'll do everything except fret crowing, shaping levelling. Nut slots, intonation, truss rod adjustment, bridge saddles setting, ... these are ok for me
  11. 😎 Actually i quite like them, but i dont tell anyone. Oh..ooerr.
  12. Having said that, the halfs i used were SIT silencers and they were pretty awesome. I dont know if they're still available. When they first hit the market, they were tricky to get hold of
  13. Having used flats, half rounds and roundwounds, i've found that half rounds are not half way between flats and rounds. They're closer to flats
  14. I'm dumb and dumber when it comes to electronics, hence getting KiOgon build me this. Someone will hopefully come along and tell you how its done. In my limited knowledge, the black battery wire can be earthed to the jack earth or back of a pot with other earths. The red live i assume would go to your preamp circuit board ? Need a techy to answer really
  15. IRRC, the string spacing on the SB range was something like 16.5 or 17mm, but a wide nut as noted above by the Assassin. Its just preferences at the end of the day. Not everyone has hands like hambones. 19mm suits many people, as does smaller spacing. I have an SB-900 here and although the neck width doesnt change an awful lot from nut to bridge, it is chunky
  16. Its an active/passive switch. The bass i bought it for was already active
  17. Love that tone. Beauty

  19. Jeeez they'e fugly looking lumps. But i guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I removed mine with Optrex
  20. I guess you have the head. My combo has air grills on the front
  21. Functions and pubs will never pay enough to make a living, and if some bands manage that, then fair play. For me, gigging is all about the enjoyment. I dont do it for the ( small ) amount of money involved. Therefore hassle is not what i want or need. I avoid GK pubs at all costs. If a venue doesnt pay cash, i'll move onto one that does. Less gigs ? Probably , but it doesnt bother me in the slightest
