Total Watts

1. My current rig... Which has to keep up with this rig.... I think I have some catching up to do......
2. That is too bad, Hartke Service is so bad over by you all in the UK. Hartke Service over here in the US is absolutely fantastic. I bought a Hartke Kilo last April and did many shows with it last summer. It failed on me last December. They paid for all shipping and had my amp delivered back in about a weeks time.... and it sounds better than it did before! I wonder if Larry Hartke is aware of the bad service in the UK?
3.
For home practice just the one SVT and 8x10 should do.
BWAHAHAA! I would do that at my house, if my wife let me! I have had good luck with Hartke gear. I have a older Kickback 15 combo that I use for home noodling.... I think it's a 120 watts, maybe. The newer model Kickback 15 has a HyDrive speaker and the amp is 500 watts! And still pretty light and portable. Over here in the U.S. it runs about $550. Not sure what it costs overseas.... Just a thought....
4. I know exactly what you mean... When I play smaller venues, I do not want my cab in my face. So, I went with twin 410 cabs. I can still stack them like a 810 if I want. But, I try to set them side by side, angled a bit towards the band. Only when I'm on a large outdoor stage, I stack them and try to get it as far into the corner that I can... within reason. I suppose you can set the 810 on it's side to do the same.... but, twin 410 cabs seem to be a bit easier to transport, for myself...
5. I liked it.... There were some problems, I thought..... usually I only listen to half a track at best of something that I am not familiar with. But, something kept me glued and I listened to the whole track....
6. Thank you.... she is a well respected singer and a hell of a lead guitarist in her original band.

8. Hello there.... I am a newbie here at Basschat. I live and jam over here In Detroit. First off, you all have some amazing bass guitars! Here is my Ibanez USATK5VB with Dean Bunker Tension Free neck... I apologize for my bad photography...
9. I have had a multitude of amps over the years. But, currently I use a Hartke Kilo (1000watt) w/twin AK410 cabs for gigs. At rehearsal, I'm on the other end of the spectrum as I use a 1972 Traynor YBA-1 w/2 15" cabs.... this amp is very, very loud. All tubes..... but, get this.... it's only 45 watts! My point being... Displacement is what really gives you volume. I used to have a 300watt Peavey hooked to a 18" Sunn cab that would shake the pictures off the wall at a bar I used to play frequently.
10. They both are 500watt-4 ohm cabs.. The Heritage series use Eminence drivers and go through a very high quality control, however. So.... in the long run, I would say yes it is worth it.
11. More speakers.... more volume.... Sorry for the tilted pics...
