1. Hi, This still for sale?
2. Aria Pro II Cardinal Series CSB Deluxe bass medium scale MIJ. According to the Ser No it's a 1983 and in good condition considering it's 33 years old. In addition to the usual marks you'd expect of a bass of this age it does have a bit of a prominent dink on the front, which has gone through the lacquer. Amazingly though there's no buckle rash on the back. Hopefully the pics show all the marks, but as I said, it's 33 years old and no longer a 'mint' bass. It's meant to be played. Only selling as I need to thin out the basses and I'm keeping the TSB400. The big brother of the standard CSBs it has the two humbuckers, which improves the sound, although each pickup can be selected individually also if need be. That bridge humbucker is a vast improvement on the weak single coils Aria had a habit of using on other duel pickup models of the era. Just a Volume and a Tone control in addition to that. Recently set up and fitted with new Rotosound 100-45 roundwounds. Happy to drop off if nearby, or meet nearby if not too far. I'll only charge for the cost of insurance in the postage (about a tenner). Will send in an old hard case for security, which sadly no longer has the carrying handle, but it's still better than a cardboard box.
3. I've just acquired an outrageously cheap Argent Series Aria Pro II bass, but have no idea about them and the tinterweb seems bare of info. I've had TSBs, CATs, Lasers etc over the years, but have no idea about these smaller bodied basses. It's obviously not old, but the paintwork has faded quite a lot as the truss rod cover showed when removed, so it's not exactly recent either.............. and yes, it really is supposed to be that colour :-)
4. Hi gents, The bass has finally been sold, so no longer available :-(
5. A Limelight medium relic Jazz bass in excellent condition, Ser No 00155. Plays and sounds fantastic. They don't pop up for sale that often and those who know about them will know they're made to order in the UK, but I need space and there's only room for one handmade bass nowadays. These are kind of the British version of a Nash Bass, except cheaper! I'll throw in a Thomman hard case, which has a few scrapes. I've had a few Fender variants of Jazzes in the past and this is far better than all of them in sound and playability. Alder body with aged maple Fender licenced Jazz neck with rosewood fretboard, Limelight's own pickups, Fender licenced bridge and Gotoh Vintage reverse tuners (aged very well), just like the old Jazzes I believe. They're a bit odd to start with, but then you get used to them. The bass has been aged tastefully and properly, unlike others who just take a sander to a guitar, and it's probably the best example of aging I've seen on any guitar. The attention to detail throughout is first class, to the point that it even has old Fender candy apple red underneath the black and showing through (apparently in the old days Fender used to paint other colour quality control failures black). A nice alternative to anyone wanting a Nash Bass, but don't want to pay over a grand! Open to offers though. Feel free to ask any questions or pop in for a try out (Lichfield, Staffs). Free delivery by UPS, but I'd rather it was collected to save the possibility of any damage. Would drop off if nearby or halfway swap if also not far away.
