1.
Hi Froggy, How old is the Amp and is the 15" the Celestion? Might just drive over the bridge and get this if as Leslie Crowther used to say "the price is right" Thanks, LC
Herro, I will check the age with my girlfriend this evening and get back to you. I think it is a Celestion, but will have a look. Are you from the Amalfi coast? Cheers, Kieran
2. Carlsbro Bassline 150 Combo 150W amp with a 15" speaker. History: One careful lady owner. Approximately 20 gigs on the clock + some quiet bedroom rehearsal. My girlfriend used to use this as her gigging amp, but has given up playing bass for the time being. We're moving house soon so trying to cut down on the number of large(ish) items we have to move. It is in perfect working order and is generally in good condition. The input jack socket has a small part of the plastic surround missing; this makes no difference to the sound quality and the lead remains in the amp just as well as if it were there. Sorry for the rubbish picture, but it gives an idea. I will take some better shots at the weekend. [s]£100[/s] [s]£90![/s] NOW £80! Collection from Bristol or can deliver or meet within a reasonable distance.
3. Start working through the Major's boot camp thread pinned at the top of the Theory and Technique forum.
4.
Do you know the model and/or year of make?
No idea i'm afraid. Does anyone know if these details will be printed anywhere? Nothing obvious from the outside. Edit: I've just read that it's possibly under the keyboard (I will be able to check Wednesday evening) Edit 2: I reckon she's a T262 or T500 (bottom right picture), so anywhere between 1968-1975. Edit 3: Further research would suggest a T262, so 1968/69
5. Hammond organ with in-built leslie speaker and foot pedals in fully working order. I'm only selling it because i'm moving house (hopefully) in the next couple of months and am having a bit of a clear out. £50 Collection from Bristol. I should mention that (as you can see from the picture) it is a bit of a weighty beast. I would estimate it weighs 100kgs +, so unless you're in the running for Britain's Strongest Man/Woman I would suggest that it needs to be stored at ground floor level or somewhere with a big lift. Will also probably require something the size of a small van to collect (I originally collected it in a Peugeot Partner van). 96cms high, 110cms wide and 60cms deep (at widest point) Any questions, please just ask.
6.
Cheers buddy, had a bit of a play, and it sounds really good, although I'm no expert! Really good and easy doing buisiness with you, thanks a lot
Thanks mate, glad to see her go to a good home.
7. Not yet RickIronWitch, it's on hold at the moment, but I need to confirm with my girlfriend if she still wants to sell it - she mentioned to me last night that she might want to hold on to it. Either way, I will let everyone know tomorrow and approach interested buyers in the order in which they expressed interest.
8.
Has she tried e45?
No, I've just been told that I have to remove trousers before getting jiggy.
9. All PMs replied to, indecision will be resolved ASAP.
10. Is it worth more than £400? Maybe you could sell it on here and deal with some nice folks?
11. How long between receiving the bass and contacting the seller advising that you wanted to return it? I'm pretty sure that legally you don't have to pay him anything, the maximum cost to you should be the P&P to send it back. I wouldn't worry too much; I'd imagine once someone at ebay has properly read your latest message that they will help you get the ball rolling.
12. Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd at a school BOTB when I was about 16. Used some sort of Yammy, it may or may not have been fretless, which was risky.
13.
Common problem with Rics I'm afraid. Normally a good set-up is all that's required, but I once had one that wouldn't alter, no matter what! A good source for info is if you do a search over a Rickresource - http://www.rickresource.com Good luck!
Thanks spongebob! I will post some pics of mine in this thread soon as pennance for thread derailment. I've played my 4003 at my last two rehearsals and i'm very happy with it; it's got a lovely low-mid growl and i feel very at home with it already.
14. Minor thread hijack! Has anyone with a relatively new 4003 experienced a quieter low E string than the A and D strings? I think I am going to lower the pole pieces under the louder strings and raise the bridge pickup as a whole slightly to counteract overall volume loss. Is that right?
15. For Sale: Squier Standard P Bass Special - Black/Mirror * Agathis, Precision Bass Body * Maple, C-Shape Jazz Bass neck * Rosewood fretboard * 20 Medium Jumbo frets * 34" Scale length * Chrome hardware * Standard Open-Gear machine heads * Standard 4-Saddle bridge * 1-Ply Chrome scratch plate * 1 Split Single-Coil Precision Bass Pickup (Neck) and 1 Single-Coil Jazz Bass Pickup (Bridge) * Dual volume and master tone controls Selling this on behalf of my lady as she doesn't play anymore. Has a small crack in the scratch plate and light buckle rash on the back There is a small crack in the scratch plate, as you can see in the picture. The picture of the back of the guitar was taken with a flash so that you can see the belt buckle rash Looking for [s]£140[/s] [s]£120[/s] £100 including Rok Sac Nylon gigbag or [s]£150[/s] [s]£130[/s] £120 with Gator Hardcase. Collection from Bristol preferred or can meet within reasonable distance.
16. I think they look great. Not sure if the Gibson model is immune, but the neck dive on an Epi I owned made it pretty much unplayable.
