  1. That's pretty much how I work. On paper, it probably looks a lot more complicated than it really is. But, in practise, it really isn't. I tend to work with various templates for different projects, but the above, is always some kind of starting point when putting busses and FX chains together.
  2. A good look at what it can do here:
  3. That's a shame, it worked for me this morning. I wasn't aware there was a limit? Sorry about that.

  5. I put an extra sum master buss before the main output buss. Everything is then routed through that, which in turn is routed to the main output buss. Any reference track imported into my DAW is routed straight to the main out, bypassing the sum buss... That way I can have any mixing/mastering FX on the sum master bus, which doesn't affect the reference track. I have a spectrum analyzer on the main output, so visually, I can see what is going on as well as using my ears. Just my way of doing it, of course...
  6. If you want to ask the lad if he is happy to enter the challenge this month, you will have to ask him via Mystic Meg... 👍 😂
  7. He is one of my favourite drummers (by a country mile...) I like his breakdown of the 'half time shuffle groove'.
  8. You pay a monthly subscription to use the above OP service(s). SplitMySong.com: Audio Separation powered by AI Prices:
  9. That's a truly horrible noise. What's going on?
  10. I got bored when it got to the drummers banging on about sticks...
  11. Before you go diving in, maybe check out this thread from VI Control (unless you already have?). It will give you a better idea of value, performance and what is really needed spec wise for DAW work: Windows Laptop for DAW | VI-CONTROL
  12. The terrific Gary Husband on Drums as well..!! He's also a fair old Pianist/Keyboard player.
  13. I'm presuming you were online? if so, try this below: 1) When you open V-Station or Bass Station, click on activate. This will automatically download and produce an activation licence. In my case it went to my downloads folders. 2) Click on 'Install license' then navigate to where the license document is located and then select. Like I said, mine went straight to downloads. 3) It's the same procedure for both VSTi's. 4) If you can't find the file I'm quite happy to Email you my copy. The software is a freebie that will be discontinued, so I can't see it as a problem..... You are looking for this file name and extension: cape-unlock-key.fnlf
  14. For those downloading this terrific library, media music Composer, Guy Michelmore, is putting it through it's paces in the below video. Well worth watching... 👍
  15. donkey It looks like it is.
  16. Some of the Novation Software is now free, including the 'B(donkey)-Station' and the 'V-Station'. EDIT: It should have read B(a*s)- Station.... The profanity filter kicks a*s on Basschat..! Novation Software | Novation Downloads (novationmusic.com)
  17. If you are talking about the National Anthem, that's probably why it is commonly (universally) orchestrated and engraved in 3/4.
  18. I can't help you with a live version but, I can post the same track with no video clip.
  19. It might be less scary to you but, to the other musicians, "wrong" notes and "slight intonation imperfections" might be really scary to them.
  20. 👍
  21. He is not just about the Blues Brothers. Lou Marini is, or was, one of the top arrangers in New York. He's a very versatile musician and arranger. LM's session resume and general CV is really quite a mixed bag. Lou Marini - Wikipedia His 'Magic City Jazz Orchestra' is also pretty decent, it's not of the Michel Camilo Big Band standard, but still, some decent players in there.
  22. Great harmonising (plus some tight unison playing), terrific arranging, a decent bunch of players and some nice soloing. In the opinion of my ears, of course.
  23. Anthony Jackson. Groove, precision, feel, energy, timing, chops, musicianship and dynamics. He has it all.
  24. No....He would be playing Flute that night.
