  1. How many times a day do you do this, Chris? Is it an OCD thing or is it some kind of stress reliever?
  2. I've always liked Marcus' playing since I first heard him on the Lenny white and Dave Grusin albums back in the late 70's/early 80's. I find him to be be very musical and a top, top groover. He's a good writer and arranger as well with an excellent knowledge of what other Instruments are all about. Scott did great, he asked a lot of questions some (many) of us always wanted to know over the years. Marcus was very honest and humble with his replies. He cleared up a couple of things as well. Enjoyed the video and thanks for posting the link, BB5.
  3. Nah, it's not free Jazz. It's defiantly 4/4 with bar lines.
  4. The middle sounds like F F# G on the Bass? That original video (Reggaebass posted) sounds sharp as well which doesn't help when transcribing. This video below is better you can hear the verse riff easier as well over the D minor.
  5. I was waiting for the Key change, but there wasn't one. So, it must be 'new' music. **
  6. Apart from the Sleigh Bells, it was all recorded on Synths. I think most know about the infamous LinnDrum track and the Snare fills (). I think the Synth/Keyboard work was all done on a Roland Juno. George Michael played all the parts himself; I believe.
  7. Although on a Desktop/W11, I run Nuendo 12 (same audio engine as Cubase 12) on an 11th Generation Intel i7 Quad Core Processor (8 Threads) with 32 gigs of Ram. I use a USB Steinberg UR22C USB 3 Interface, and everything runs absolutely as smooth as it gets. All my third-party/vendor VSTi's and VST's run with no problems on W11. With the specs of the ÚLTIMAS 1600, you will have zero problems with Cubase.
  8. Lol... Well, I said, "The cheapest I've seen it advertised was around £350." If you would like to advertise your system, I can then say, "The cheapest I've seen it advertised was, in 200." 👍
  9. Five free sample libraries from 'Cinesamples'. They all run in the FREE Kontakt Player (Version 6.7.1 or higher). Freebies (cinesamples.com)
  10. Yes..!! It's very good. The price might put people off though. The cheapest I've seen it advertised was around £350.
  11. The above are 'Open-Back'. If you want 'Closed-Back', the link below is the same company, but about a tenner more; M1000 MK2 Studio Headphones by Studiospares - UK Stock - Studiospares
  12. These are great for DAW work and practising. If the leads get faulty you can replace them. You also get a spare pair of cups and they come with a decent case. Studiospares M2000 MK2 Studio Headphones - UK Stock - Studiospares
  13. Obviously not better than the original, but a terrific arrangement with good singing and playing from all involved. The arrangement has some nice twist and turns as the tune progresses.
  14. Yes, a good listen... It's also worth checking Sierra (and her band) out on her YouTube channel.
  15. For anyone using the free 'Valhalla Super Massive', there is a nice update available: ValhallaSupermassive 2.5.0 Update. Two new Modes: Scorpio and Libra! - Valhalla DSP 👍
  16. I think I first heard EWF down at 'The Cats Whiskers' in Streatham around '74/75. A great place for Disco and Philly music:
  17. Indeed... Also, Philip Bailey and Co did wonders for the Wine Glass industry.
  18. It's worth getting to know the interface well, there are a lot of options available, including rolls etc... Also, you can create just about any metre you want using the step creator. And like you say...it's free.
