Good taste yes, but an expensive taste no doubt with the way this project is going. o.o

7. I completely forgot I'm probably going to use round Elixars for loads of tone. I've revamped the plan a bit so i'll be posting new list of bit and bobs i'll be having for the bass soon.
8.
Hi Dave, Yes these are still for sale. I would rather try to sell them both together if I can, But might consider a split if the price is right! Give us a shout back if your interested. Cheers Gary
Speaking of price, How much are these puppies?
9. Hey guys, I'm building a bass in after Christmas, and I'm at a bit of a lose for what bridge to get. Does anyone own/use/have used single string bridges? Are they More toneful compared to a Badass? I have never played a bass with either on them. Also what is the most toneful pickup configuration? I'm looking to use a Musicman in the sweet spot with either a P at mid, J at neck , or Soap bar at neck and i'm not to sure what would be the configuartion to get as much tone as possible.
10.
did someone say gold?
Fort Knox called, They want their bass back Thanks everyone for the advice. All the pre-wiring deals out there are pretty good, but i think I'm going to have to go with Delberhots idea for Bestbassgear.com prewiring with an Aguilar 3 band. I've also repicked my pick-ups from the same site, now going with Delanos, which I have heard are quite good. The Gold bass has kinda put me off all the gold, But I'm gonna go for something very similar to your P bass, Most likely something along these lines: http://s68.photobucket.com/albums/i29/wehp...72808234323.jpg Anyway this is the neck I'll be getting: http://www.warmoth.com/showcase/sc_guitar_...;subMenuItem2=0 Where they usual Fender decal would good, I'll be puting my personal symbol which is this: http://s68.photobucket.com/albums/i29/wehp...=greywinged.jpg Might also put that one the 12 fret not to sure tho.
11. Hello Everyone! I'm looking to make my own bass after christmas hopefully, But i need a little help............ Well thats an underexaggeration, I need A Whole Lot Of help I've only taken apart bass, i've never actually put one together (or back together after i take them apart infact ) I Have no idea about electronic, I'm absolutly terribly with wiring, and thats where i'll probably need the most help with, as well order all the right parts. I want to start for. I plan to order from Warmoth Direct in the good Old US of A. This is a very vague list of what i'm ordering, But I also need a bit of help picking the best materials for it. Anyway here: Swamp Ash or Maple P-bass body Topped with either Flame Maple or Redwood. (Either Trans Blonde or Trans Blue {whatever is best with Gold hardware}) One piece Maple neck, 21 medium Gold frets, Jazz style headstock, Brass nut 4 Gotoh tuner Machines gold 4 single string bridges, Gold Aguilar OBP-3 Onboard Preamp 1 Seymour Duncan Music Man Style Pickup, And 2 "Lightning Rod" Jazz Pickups 72 style Pick guard. white black white. (might spraypaint it gold) Strap holder/locks Gold Now i'm not sure what to get electronics wise but I think i'll need: Battery box for preamp Capicator(s?) Pots Knobs (gold) Switch for preamp? Wire Copper shielding Jack and jack socket. Anyone up for a joint project over the web, Because i have no idea what i'm doing
12. Had a bit of interest so far, but its still available! B u M p!
13. You definately have some interest from me! I wish I had money, because this was the bass I learnt on as a lad and it used to be my signature thing. Have a bump on me, if this is still around in a couple weeks (ie after christmas ) Give me a shout because i would be completely interested.
14. Thanks for the clarification guys. Well i do love the new TE's, something about knowing it was made in a shed in by a fat bloke named Mick, screw driver in one hand and mug of tea in the other putting my amp and speaker together is rather comforting. (Though its a rather odd thought) Although the American's having been making quite an impression on me with Eden. Very expensive there to i must say. But for those sort of tones, I wouldn't pay a penny less.
15. I've been reading around the forum that the older Trace elliot gear (Pre-peavey takeover) is a lot better than the new Trace Elliot gear. Whilst reading, I have found no jusitification for why this is true. I'm looking at getting a new TE stack (7 band for those interested) and was wondering why people are saying the new stuff is rubbish. Surely its technologically better? or am I missing something? I have only played the new Traceys.
16. Well if the spam attacks are coming from one or two specfic IPs, why not just IP ban them? I'm not really good with computors, so i'm not sure that would work or if you can do that
17. Ladies, put your handbags away What sort of trades are you interested in then?
