1. I've played this at Steve's house before, it's a lovely bass, I was like OMG, never held a bass this nice before in my life, no lie!
2.
Drifting a little from the topic, you're the first person I've seen mentioning Eggle Bass, what are they like? I've still got a Vienna (guitar) by them that I love. Just wondering is all.
There's been a Milan 4 in my local cash converters for over a year now, stupidly over priced. I played it the last time I was in there, I hated it, didn't like the feel of it, and found it really hard to play on. Can't tell you about the sound, couldn't plug it in.
3.
I had a pint - that helped a lot
Agreed, 1 does seem to calm any old nerves.
4. I'm 22. I recondition laptops and desktops, and other electrical crap, but I don't know what I'm doing, I play the guitar and bass, and am supposed to be studying.
5. Thinking about buying one from ebay too, depends on shipping costs, and whether he'll mark the parcel down to $150 or something to save my ass on fees.
6. I've got just a bass and a guitar, and another that's waiting to be sold. I've had more in the past, but I don't see the sense in having 2 of the same instrument. Fretted, fretless, and a 4 if you just have 5's, but I wouldn't buy another fretted 5, it would just get in the way. With guitars you might want a backup if you're gigging a lot, for string breakages and that. It's alright if you're one of these guys with money to burn, and want to have a bunch of boutique basses to sit there and look pretty, but I couldn't part with money like that unless I knew they'd be well used, and would end up paying for themselves, and even then, I'd still prefer to have just one versatile bass, instead of having a whole bunch to cater for different tones etc..
7. How about a precision aerodyne, do you think it'd be any cheaper to buy from those, than to buy from Thomann? I can't navagate their site though.
8. I play an old jackson 5. It looks a bit metal. I might one day change the board to get rid of those ghastly shark fins. As a player, I've never played a nicer 5 string, but it's been heavily "tuned".
9. Yeah, good, delivery took time though.
10. And it disappeared again, strange. Anyone else notice the same thing, or is it just me?
11. Oh, it just appeared again!
12. What happened to it? It's not there anymore, wouldn't make sense to delete the second most popular forum
13. That's nice. Can you get around on it okay without the lines?
14. Looks good to me as it is, but white pearloid if you must..
