I made enquires regarding this Jazz on ebay today. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126177916635

I asked if he had any more pictures, particularly of the pots and pickups, and also asked what it weighed.

What I got back was "Hi Rob, sorry this is all the photos I have and will be taking. Thanks anyway."

I've asked again about the weight, no reply.

Fair enough, I won't buy your bass then!

    Rob

How mad is that, anything I sell from the website or on here I’m always happy to take as many pics as needed and anyone who wants to take anything to bits is more than welcome, as long as they put it back together. This is especially important on vintage instruments that cost a packet, you don’t want to get that wrong.

Yeh, that would be a no for me even on a £200 bass - if you can't take any more photos I am assuming you don't have the thing you are selling.

I get what you mean, no more pics, does he actually have it there 🤷‍♂️

I've used this beauty every week in my church worship group and the sound guy says it's the best sounding bass he has ever heard. DI'ed straight to the desk with no alteration to the desk eq..... Simply stunning.

I know it's a cliche but this really is the best sounding and playing P bass I have used in my 30 years of playing.

Well, seeing as I owned this bass and have had and have lots more here too. This bass is absolutely killer. Anyone who takes the plunge won't regret it at all, it's excellent. As original as it gets, nice weight and great history with receipt too. Hmm do I need another P bass 🤣

  5. No longer required, it's a gnarly fuzz and sounds epic. Price includes UK postage

    Now with knob pics 😉

    Bumpf

The Megalith is like no other fuzz you have experienced before. It puts out a shocking amount low frequency energy with the MORE HEAVY feature taking those low frequencies to truly dangerous heights. It's timbre is that of a fuzz with some of the focus you would more expect from a "distortion". The tone control section gives you an extremely wide range of frequency shaping allowing for it be fine tuned to suit a variety styles and type of equipment. While the Megalith is capable of extremely high gain levels the signal to noise is also high (it means it's not noisy). The Megalith works equally well both on guitar (the skinny stringed kind) and bass.

What is the red Precision between the Ashdown and the Ampeg? Also, that SVT AV is my dream amp!!!

That’s a 1962 P bass, beautiful bass. Now sold but I still have plenty more in stock. The SVT is a beast 👌

Agree with above and glad you like it Paul!

I think whilst it’s great on features, the biggest thing for me it’s how effortlessly it cuts through in a band setting and on stage. I just can hear myself like I’ve never done before.

Yeah it was just ‘there’ and filled the spaces lovely. It sounded big, clear but not overpowering. I have to say, I was shocked how much it added live. While some stuff sounds great at home playing along to YT and stuff but falls short when pushed live, this was better live, much better in fact. Thanks again @Ander87 for pushing me to buy it 👌

  8. I gigged mine on Saturday after a day or so messing with it at home. It's even better in a band situation. It's such a good preamp. Anyone on the fence should just push the button and get it bought!

I think, and others agreed who were watching, thats the best live sound I have had with the band. Definitely my pre of choice atm.

  9. Sold on FB

For sale my magnificent Barefaced 610 with a red cloth finish done by myself. The original silver cloth is underneath too if you'd rather revert back but I think it looks bloody lovely and sounds like thunder. The Barefaced badge is a brand new one supplied by Alex, I believe I am the first person to ask for one.

In pretty great condition, always kept in its cover sleeve, which comes with it of course. The price includes UK shipping with my man with a van so super safe, you're welcome to collect from Hexham if you'd prefer and I will knock £65 off. I am also heading to Leicester area on Fri 3rd Nov til Sat 4th if someone would prefer a meet up?

These things are brilliant, lightweight but a huge sound.

    No trades thanks

You are once again correct - I'm withdrawing it - that pedal and a couple basses and I'm ready for gigs recording or anything tbh - and yes, cranking the distortion on the channel B can be so so good, too!

Thank y'all for some sanity 😀

    Ander.

    Is the right answer 😁

Stupidly have mine on sale! Let us know more @walshy , maybe that way I withdraw mine and keep some sanity.

After a play through the set for Fu Fighters for Saturdays gig, I can only say DO NOT SELL IT. I know how much you raved on about it, and for how long and you were correct. Even the dirt is good. Hmmm is this the extra juicy tone sauce ive been looking for? It's certainly better than the Ampeg SGT DI in my opinion. Well roll on Saturday and I will report back what its like in 'gig mode'.

I played my first gig with the JF Coda head the other day, first impressions are very good. Been using the Capo for almost a year now, straight into the desk and using in-ears 90% of the time, so I wanted something for the odd gig where I actually use backline that was just the Capo sound but amplified. The Coda is interesting being as it’s really just a power amp, no controls to tweak other than input and output volume. Class G instead of class D; might be placebo effect but felt like it had more of the traditional heft that I’ve always found lacking with the class D amps I’ve used. Early days but really liking it so far.

Interesting re the head too. Certainly looks the part and if it has heft I imagine it will easily fight its way into the marketplace and become the answer for a lot of folk too

Due to a major cockup from me, I managed to pull the cardboard side off a new 1Kg reel of black PETG filament. Never done that before. Bloody cardboard reels from Overture.

This means I have a 1KG reel that I need to use pretty quickly. Trying to despool it and spool to a new empty reel is really difficult so thats out as an option. Tried that and it just doesn't work and tangles up.

I need to print things with it or it will get tangled up and I'll just have to throw it away.

It's currently on a lazy susan on my laser printer whilst I print some ears for @alexjbassist The water bottle is full of water to weigh the reel down so as the printer pulls filament in, the lazy susan spins and the reel isn't pulled off. Not bad for 3 mins of panic even if I do say so myself.

So if anybody needs anything printed in black PETG and needs it in the next few days, I'll happily do it for nothing, just pay the postage. Size is fairly immaterial but the bigger the better

I hate to waste filamant, it was my last roll and I'll buy some more, but its annoying to throw it away.
