1. I bought both of these over the last couple of months but need to sell them to raise funds for other (non musical) things. MXR Blowtorch Price is £85 posted (signed for) I've used this for one gig only so it's pretty much in mint condition. I'll include the box/paperwork. I will also throw in the voltage doubling cable which is usually sold separately, you will need this if you want to power this 18v pedal from a 9v power supply (e.g. Voodoo Labs). [s]MXR M89 Bass Overdrive[/s] - WITHDRAWN Price is £70 posted (signed for) I've only used this at home so it is in mint condition. Box/paperwork included. These are located in Carshalton, we can organise collection if you are local. Thanks Dylan
2. I bought this 4 years ago from a fellow BCer. It's either the ugliest or most beautiful bass you've ever seen - I lean towards the former. It looks like the effect was achieved by trying to strip an existing finish away, but it doesn't explain why the effect continues under the decals on the headstock. Despite the way it looks it actually plays really well! Great neck and the action is pretty low - I believe the previous owner had some setup/servicing work done, including installing the ABM bridge, rewinding one of the pickups, fret levelling and stoning. There are some dings on the back of the neck behind the 3rd (small), 9th and 13th frets. Also there is almost no shielding around the pickups so be prepared for them to pick up interference from lights, etc. Price is £150. Bass is in Carshalton (Surrey/South London). Collection/meet only, I will drive a reasonable distance. Feel free to come and inspect it, just message me and we can set something up. Cheers Dylan
3. Easter Sunday bump (the thread has risen!)
4. SOLD UPDATE 06 Apr: I've edited the post to reflect a couple of minor issues with the bass, I will now take £240 firm for this. I'm selling a Fender Jazz Standard (MIM) Fretless Jazz. I bought this a few years ago from a fellow BCer, I've done a 2 or 3 gigs with this and a few rehearsals in that time but I'm not really playing fretless anymore. Finish is in good shape. There is routing between the front pickup and the control plate, so going Jaco-style would not be possible (well, possible but not very pretty). Also a couple of other things to be aware of. One of the screws holding the pickguard in place is missing, and the hole is stripped. It seems that this has been an issue previously with other pickguard holes in the body, and these have been treated by a previous owner in the classic way by inserting a small piece of wood into the holes and re-inserting the screws. This has been effective, save for the missing screw. Also there is some light marking on the fretboard where a previous owner has used roundwound strings (probably steels). This doesn't affect playability, and I've been stringing it up with nickels to try to stop this progressing. Price is £240. Collection/meet only, I'm based in Carshalton (South London/Surrey) and will drive a reasonable distance to meet a buyer, just ask. 5. Yes, thanks for pointing that out. Basschat has changed since I last listed something! You should see pics now and I've updated the thread with (incredibly limited) trade options.
6. I'm selling my Sadowsky Metro RV5. I bought this new from the Sadowsky inventory in December 2009. This is a typical Sadowsky, e.g. versatile and high quality, which I used as my main bass for several years before I went back to four strings. Weight is 10lb 1oz. Work needed on the house necessitates me thinning the herd. As I say this was my main bass for several years of regular gigging, and there are some marks on the finish. I've tried to show some of these in the last photo but I'm finding it very difficult - this is a shiny bass! Price is £1250 (SOLD). Collection/meet only. I'm based in Carshalton (Surrey/South London), but will drive a reasonable distance to meet. You are more than welcome to come and try it out. I'm not really interested in trades at this point, unless you have a Barefaced Super Twin or Big Baby II. I have a couple of feedback threads (my fault): http://basschat.co.u...ack-for-dylanb/ http://basschat.co.u...c/16639-dylanb/ In this photo, the light spot on the right side of the bridge is a reflection, not a ding. The one below it (in the black section of finish) IS a ding. There is some checking below it and to the right which is pretty much covered up by the reflection in this photo. 7. Double post, please delete
8. I just received Tony's Pedaltrain Jr. It was exactly as described, posting was quick and the transaction was hassle free. Thanks Tony!
9. I just received Damon's OC-2. Packed well, exactly as described, very fast shipping. No issues. Thanks Damon!
10. I bought Tom's Deep Impact from him. This was a very easy, hassle free transaction, I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.
11. After selling Ady a Yamaha bass a couple of years ago, I just bought it back off him. What was the point of all that eh? Both deals were very pleasant experiences and totally hassle free. Ady is a gent and takes very good care of his gear, prospective buyers/sellers should deal with confidence. Cheers!
12. Jon just bought my MXR Comp pedal. This was a very easy transaction, Jon was communicative and prompt with his payment, so there's really nothing bad to say at all. If only all online trades were this easy. Cheers!
13. Bump for final price drop. I will now sell the M87 for £110 posted.
14. I'm not necessarily saying that, but sometimes you're on these boats for months. It's worth considering.
15. I know a few guys who have done quite a bit of cruise work together. I honestly think that if they were offered a contract with a zero booze policy, they would turn it down. Drinking seems to have become part of the experience for them (not in a bad way, it looks like a lot of fun).
16. Sold a set of strings to Brett, which was a hassle free and speedy process. Very easy to deal with, cheers!
17. Bruno bought a set of strings off me. Zero hassle on my end and prompt payment, so thoroughly recommended!

Deep Thought

Whoops! Looking back over my feedback thread, it would appear that I sold Mike a set of Elite strings in 2008 and didn't leave him feedback. How ill mannered of me. While I'd be lying if I said I could remember any of the details of the transaction after 5 years, I think most would say that is a good thing after all this time. I can therefore only assume he's a top bloke in good standing. Sorry Mike!
