You lucky, lucky guitarists! We might have started working on the electronics for our first bass amp in 2017 but the skinny stringers are the first to get a Barefaced amp product! We've combined a really nice preamp design which is super clean and accurate with a crazy efficient amp module. This miracle of tone (or maybe absence of tone?) and power has been squeezed into a tiny package that fits into every single AVD guitar cab we make, right from the tiny Upsetter 110 to the bassist-scaring Upsizing 215. There are two choices for the Activier - the 1 (single channel, i.e. mono), and the 2 (dual channel, i.e. stereo). The Activier 1 has a single input, single gain knob, and single external speakon for an extension speaker. The Activier 2 has two inputs, two gain knobs and two external speakons. Logical! Rumour has it that if you follow the link in our bio then you can place a pre-order... And BASSISTS- we have an update for you next week...
  5. Sam bought a cab from me. He is a real gentleman. I recommend him as a buyer with no hesitation. It was great to meet another fantastic Basschatter. Marc
  6. It's not hard. I fitted it under the FB by squishing it down a bit. Also worked between the bridge arch. Regards Marc
  7. Hi there. 1. I have used it in all three positions and found mounting it under the fingerboard gave the best sound with my bass. Second was under the bridge and last was under the tail. All three positions gave a very accurate representation of the sound from my bass. It also blended very well with other pickups. I found that with a bit of experimentation and patience the best sound position could be found. 2. It us very snug so should be fine for a bit of bass acrobatics. I played in a country band standing up and moved around without any problems. 3. Yes it picks up all sound from the bass. 4. I used it in the country band at rehearsal and live with a moderate drummer with no problems. Hope this helps. Marc
  8. I've used this beauty every week in my church worship group and the sound guy says it's the best sounding bass he has ever heard. DI'ed straight to the desk with no alteration to the desk eq..... Simply stunning. I know it's a cliche but this really is the best sounding and playing P bass I have used in my 30 years of playing.
  9. Bought from our very own Bass Monkey for £4500 eighteen months ago. All original with a sales receipt and original jack socket that has been changed. Comes with chrome covers. Case is well used. I'm really only playing 5 string bass now so I'm putting this out for a trade for any 5 string bass. All price points considered. Straight sale for £4000 on collection via bank transfer. This is the most amazing P bass I have ever played. Perfect for gigs or just put it under the bed for a future investment.
