  1. Haha, yeah, i thought that was a bit strange.
  2. what an amazing experience for these guys.
  3. Hardly used since getting a Helix, and then a B1-four, and then not playing bass any more. Works perfectly, and is up to date with the firmware. I dont have the box or anything that might have come with it, so its just the pedal itself. Ill include 2nd class postage to mainland UK in the price. Info here https://www.zoom.co.jp/node/61
  4. I’d love to get one of those, and totally understand the advantage, but my lot just wouldn't go for it just on my say so unless i paid for it and all the other bits I’d need. Our biggest issue is the drummer, who plays too loud all the time. I’d worry how it sounds out front once we have sound checked and start playing. Even now he tends to swamp the mix with his drums after a few numbers, and the guitarist hasn’t a clue as to how loud he is, let alone keeping his levels even. In the past I’d stand out front at the sound check, and get all the balances right, but i know it all goes to pot once we start playing. Now I’m stuck behind keys i wont even have the ability to go out front for sound check. At least with the backline on stage i can partially gauge how loud we are all. Obviously a sound guy would fix most of that, but we don’t have one.
  5. Yeah, ive seen these and quite fancy getting one, but i cant see my lot going for a mixer change when we aren’t all using IEMS’s yet, and i cant afford to buy it myself. A bit of a catch 22 at the moment, so I’m slowly convincing them its a good thing. At the moment, with the singer using IEM’s live, we only use one small monitor on stage anyway. Our gigs were small enough we could hear everything but the monitor helps us keep tabs on the vocals. Only the drummer really needs IEM for his vocals. He tend to ‘forget’ to bring his monitor most gigs.
  6. I normaly use Halion’s Piano’s, which i find to be really good, but recently ive been using the Mrs Mills piano from SpitfireAudio and love it. Its not asa versatile as Halion, but its got a great tone to it and seems to mix very easily. Not bad for £25
  7. No problem. There are loads of ways a to do it but the above works for us. Good luck.
  8. Yep, a shared Google drive or Dropbox folder is how I do it. It costs nothing and everyone has access to all the wav files. We all use different DAW’s so wav files make sense. I tend to do the mixing (and most of the music) so I generally send out a rough mix of my stuff as a wav file, they put them in to their. DAW and record along with it. Then drop their recordings on to DB for me to import in to Cubase. You just need to all agree on the sample rate and tempo to start with (well not necessarily, but it makes things a bit smoother).
  9. That stuff’s cool, especially the second link. I agree it sounds like a lot of panning but i guess some will hear it as whizzing around the room. I quite like all that sort of stuff. The Apple thing is using Dolby Atmos on music, so its going to be a lot more defined and precise, the same as films are already using, but with Apples hardware the headphones decode it.
  10. Thoughts? A surprise move for Apple, but I’m not convinced its going to be the huge music industry shake up the YouTube posters are making out. Ok, its a great effect to have for films, i love it, although it was a bit disconcerting at first, but i cant see how its going to work with mainstream music. We have had 3D audio before and it never took off. I know there are some Dolby 5.1 audio discs, but they don’t seem to be very popular or forthcoming. I like that it will be there, and i cant wait to hear it, but with it being limited to Apple Music and Apple head/earphones i dont see it making much of a change to how things are at the moment. I guess change takes time so lets see how popular it becomes. Not bothered too much about the lossless side of the new service as i use wireless headphones/earphones all the time, so wont benefit. Nice we get all this for no extra cost……for now.
  11. That must be really cool heading the whole band in ears, and with someone mix it. Assume you all get your own mix or are you sharing the same one? If the later how are you getting the different mixes? I’m starting to think i need to push my lot, but it wont be easy as it will mean money. At the moment I’m not prepared to take a feed from the desk as 1, i dont need to hear the singers, and 2, i dont want to distract them with my poor playing lol. My singer has a cheap G4M system, and I’m thinking ill get the drummer to use my Xivie wireless system out of her headphone out, in to my spare P2 clone. That way he has wireless and both will get the same feed. Our PA desk only has two monitor sends. One pre, one post, so we would need to upgrade the desk, as well as get everyone IEM’ed up. With no gigs booked that will be hard to sell to them. What are the smaller ZS10’s? Are these the old non Pro ones?
  12. Pretty sure it only mentions mono twice as well. Still can’t see what the confusion is over the output though. It mentions stereo, no where does it say mono regarding the output. It shows power rating for two channels and the Aux in is stereo which passes through to the output. 😂
  13. Ironically i threw out a Peavey power amp which was in a rack bag recently, and there was a stereo graphic in there as well. I’m carrying less gear these days then when i was playing bass, as i dont need to carry a rig, but it seems to be growing each month. Might get a 2U rack bag which should hold my leads and pedals as well.
  14. I love the B1-four as it can be run off battery, but i also got a cheap Bluetooth receiver off Amazon so i could play my iphone (no headphone out) through it. It didnt cut down on cables as such, but once i discovered i could stream YouTube and Apple Music from my Apple TV, and use its remote, it made late night living room practice really enjoyable, especially as i also used a wireless system for the bass.
  15. Yep, and using a TS (normal jack) cable and a stereo effect, summed to mono, is when you can (not always will, probably hardly ever if the using has been designed well) get phase issues. The best plan of action is to not use them if you can, or take time to make sure the sound is as expected/wanted if you do.
  16. I went ahead and ordered it. Sounds like its a win win as i can send it back to Amazon if it doesn't do the job, which I’m sure it will.
  17. Yeah, its mainly for bass and most of us don’t need stereo a lot of the time. As i said above i got mine for headphone practice, so stereo out was a must as i used to play my ipad through it. Thats how i know, but can understand not everyone will have used it like that.
  18. Cheers again. I hoped to not go the rack route, and i wont be needing anything else in this form factor, but i need stereo and there isnt much around at the cheaper end of the market. I had the Boss EQ200 which was nice but i found it a bit tame and didnt do much for me. The Source Audio EQ2 looks amazing, but too pricy for what ill use it for. I’m just looking to tweak the rehearsal studios PA’s more than sound shape. We use 3 studios and each sound different. None sound good though. Obviously i can use it for gigs, but our PA is actually ok without it.
  19. Cheers. That’s exactly what i wanted to hear. Its not as convenient as a pedal sized box but for the price i cant find anything close (other than cheaper and more expensive clones).
  20. I haven't found any thing that says the B1 is mono either lol, other than the input. The output is even quoted as power per side in the specs. I don’t mean to come across arrogant or rude to you, i just cant see why its a sticking point when we can all try this out in a couple of mins. IME the manual does state stereo in the output section, and some of the FX are labels as stereo. We all know what manuals can be like. I’d just have though when i said it was stereo someone would have tested it rather than contested it and doubted it without testing it. It just seemed to be dragging on and on. Some of the Reverbs are stereo, although not labelled as such, but try the Stereo Chorus.
  21. There is nothing special about a headphone cable, and you obviously understand what a TRS cable is, and you said, you have had a TRS to two mono jacks(?) so you have had the correct cable. 1. Your missing the point. Summing a stereo signal to mono can cause phase cancellations. This will happen at the summing stage inside the device before it gets out. I’m not saying this will happen with the B1’s stereo effects, but its something that can happen and you cant assume it won’t happen. The situation you mentions is exactly when it can occur. 2. There is nothing ‘might’ about it, its stereo out and thats that. I appreciate you are too busy to try it, and will keep with the doubt, but you have two units, you can prove me right or wrong using your once experience. Bi-amping!!!! No idea where that came from. Have you never thought that some might record using stereo effects, or use for headphone practice by playing stereo audio thorough the B1’s aux in, in to headphones? I’m sure thats a lot, lot more common than bi-amping. As you know i used to use my Helix and B1 for home practice, always on headphones, which i know others have also done (pretty sure you have recommend the B1 for this sort of thing more than once).
  22. I expect more with your PA than on bass, but anyone got any experience with this EQ? it looks cheap, and ideal for my use for keys, not for PA use as such, but its hard to see any negatives just from a brochure. Not interested in any Behringer reputation/ethics etc comments, just asking those that have experience with this EQ, or the 31 band version, although I’m not looking to get that at this time. Cheers.
  23. There is no way of access the left and right as separate channels unfortunately. The list of the effects only has a few with the name Stereo in it so most are mono (even though it DOESNT state i this anywhere in the manual either lol), but a few more are stereo as well. None have a left right balance control though.
  24. But a headphone cable is a TRS cable. Its not above your ‘pay grade’ because your talk a lot about TRS cables, so you must know this?
  25. Well ive never said it does, i haven't once mentioned the B1-Four specifically using stereo processing on its amp and FX sims, only that it DEFINITELY has stereo out. Its pretty clear from the spec its Stereo out. Let’s face it, anyone here that owns one can test this out rather than going back and forth about what is and what isnt in the manual. Its so simple to prove either way. Spoiler alert….of course it processes stereo. Why would they include stereo FX otherwise?
