    Unlike the rest I never met Youth, he did however once hand me a flyer at a Fad Gadget show at The Venue in Victoria. I dread to think how long ago that was.

    Check out the bass lines on Bête Noire, a Bryan Ferry solo album rather than Roxy, superb album with cracking bass.

    ☝☝☝This, all day long. JJ kind of knocked everyone else into a cocked hat (apart from Mick Karn). Those first two notes, I want to give up bass and collect stamps as soon as I hear them.

    Indeed and this was true at every Bass Bash I’ve been to.

    I remember a band called Heist with two bass players, as mentioned briefly in the post above but I can’t find anything about them online!

    People do play each other’s basses, it’s one of the best parts about the events. I keep an eye out for such things as I have a couple of basses I’d like to keep in good nick but no one I’ve ever encountered has had a belt buckle on. Perhaps, as bass players, we realise this and don’t wear such things to Bashes
