  1. Ampeg SCR-DI pedal; bought very recently on here from obbm. Price includes shipping. preamp EQ overdrive practice tool with line in and headphone out I now don’t need the pre-amp features. Pictures and details are from obbm’s original post. Will provide new pictures if requested
  2. I’m wondering if I need one of these. I have a Steinberg Audio Interface connected to studio monitors. I have an audio switch that allows connection of Mac (home), PC (work) and Sonos outputs into the Steinberg and out to the monitors. Here’s my problem...I want to record the PC/Mac output at the same time as listening through monitors so the line in feeding the monitors is also the line in to the Steinberg and Cubase. Hoping there is a simple solution.
  3. Is this the Soundhouse; originally in Westgate St? If so, that’s where I bought by first bass, secondhand Hohner JJ, 25 years ago.
  4. I’m considering putting this American Vintage ‘57 Reissue Precision up for sale. I think I’m the second owner. Comes with tweed case, ashtray, pickup cover and thumb rest. In very good condition. Its been gigged so has a few dinks here and there, a bit of buckle rash; nothing dramatic. Ive had it for about 5 years and I vowed I’d never sell it (in a thread in this very boutique) but I’m not playing it as much these days. It last saw real daylight and fresh air at rehearsals for an ill-fated venture a couple of years ago. Further details and more pictures to follow.
  5. I agree wholeheartedly on the copyright stuff; give it a very wide berth, but how long have opinions needed to be evidence-based? I think Ritters look like something concocted in a woodwork class. Does that leave me open to the threat of litigation; of course not?
  6. As my initials are SKB may I have at half-price? 😁
  7. John Martyn. Saw him at Leeds in 1975 at the tender age of 17 and his music has stayed with me. He was a misogynist; was so often off his tits on stage having drank/smoked too much that every performance was a lottery; was a mess in his twilight years but he had one of the great voices.

  9. I have a couple of e-tickets for Martin Turner (ex- Wishbone Ash) at Frazer Theatre Knaresborough (North Yorkshire) tomorrow, 27th. Thought the gig was Monday and I’m away this weekend.
  10. Morning, The J has SB70 Alnico single coil pickups with the East Uni-Pre amp with Active/Passive switching. It has that classic 70s Jazz sound. It’s light for a 5-string too. Alan is a good chap to deal with; always very helpful and a mine of information. You won’t be disappointed 😀 Shaun
  11. Various pedals for sale. UK postage included. Boxed as shown. Home use only. TC Electronic Corona Chorus £55 - on hold Aguilar Octamizer £95 - on hold Boss LS-2 Line Selector £45 - on hold
  12. For Sale £120 inc postage Phil Jones Bass HA-1 Mobile Headphone Amp. Great for practice. Excellent Condition. Boxed with pouch and mini-USB cable.
  13. Here are my two... Both stock instruments. The J-type is strung E-C and is the easiest 5-string I’ve played. The Recurve was my first and the tonal palette is huge with Alan’s DFM pre-amp.
  14. For Sale £185 Darkglass Alpha Omega. Boxed and in excellent condition. https://www.darkglass.com/creations/alpha-omega/
  15. For Sale £50 Freshman FA1FBK folk bodied acoustic guitar. My daughter’s first guitar that once held sentimental value for her; now a potential source of income, having been hanging on a bedroom wall unplayed since she left for university. Some minor dinks. No bag but will have shipping box made to fit. Collection from just outside York; Selly Oak Birmingham or shipped at buyer’s expense. These guitars are designed to accomodate a smaller budget without sacrificing any of the quality that Freshman is renowned for. "At this price point these guitars are hard to fault. Truth be told, I have seen inferior finishing and detailing on many name brand and hand made guitars that cost many times more money. An overall feeling of solidity suggests that these guitars could survive years of gigging or being slung in the back of cars." Specs Body Type: Folk Body Acoustic Top: Sitka Spruce Back: Mahogany Sides: Mahogany Fingerboard: Rosewood Hardware: Geared Diecast Machine Heads Finish: Gloss Black
  16. Beautiful basses. One is ever enough! Have fun with the five.

Just bought an Ampeg SCR-DI from Dave. Great pedal and service to match. As described and well-packaged. 👍
  18. Looking for a straight sale on this one but might be tempted by a Spector.
  19. For Sale: £900 Great sounding Stingray 4HH from 2007; as powerful as you would expect with a wide range of tones. Comes complete with original MM hard case which is in very good condition. Bought from Deedee on this forum. Fitted with white scratchplate but have original black. Happy to include both in sale. Few dinks (see pictures), nothing serious. Located just outside York. Collection welcome. Free shipping.
  20. Bought a pair of Event 20/20 BAS monitors from Shep along with some ISO-LBR 200 stands. We arranged to meet at a convenient spot between his place and mine. All went very smoothly. I’d buy from him again in a heartbeat; genuine, sincere and fear is obviously well looked after.

  22. Thanks both. I currently use a pair of Dynaudio Audience 50 hi-fi speakers to listen to music when doing the day job. It just so happens that mrs skb558 could use those in her art studio so question is, would listening to my collection through monitors drive me slowly insane or could I be a happy boy and kill two birds with one proverbial?
