  5. Ah, thanks for the Bass Direct tip. I'm not sure about the Moses neck but I'll certainly take a look. Guess I'm mainly looking for a nice 4-string fretted Stingray to complement my fretless. Maybe in a similar natural finish, or even white, although to be fair the colour/finish is not essential if it's a nice player. Mind you, it'll have to wait a little while as the old jalopy has just started yelling for some attention. It never rains!
  6. Wow, @ped, I guess I missed it when you first posted this thread (although I knew you had this gorgeous bass from your Jazz, Precision and Musicman thread ). And this just makes me even more determined to sort myself another Ray (4-string fretted). That's if I don't find a nice Bongo first!!

  8. @AndyTravis in case you missed it, here's a couple of extra pics I found of that natural 'TXJ-4' (it's from a Yahoo Japan auction site, aucfan.com)

  13. When MM first introduced the Bongo I thought WTF! However, for a long time now, all I know is... I want one! (Preferably a 6-string Stealth. MMmmmm).

  15. Sorry, Rich, I'm afraid not - as I say, they cut away just as Boris started to reply. I believe he was being asked if he would meet to discuss the question of Europe-wide Visa-free work permits (as per the petition https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/563294).
  16. I saw the musician's visa question was finally raised in PMQ's today but just as Boris stood up to reply both BBC and Sky news decided to cut away to the Scottish daily briefing. (By the time I remembered there was also Parliament TV, they'd moved on). Phooey! 😕
  17. As much as I love mine, I have to agree that yours looks pretty flippin' amazing. Glwts.

  24. Very interesting to hear this. Thanks for posting @Mykesbass. Karen Carpenter's voice was incredible (she was a pretty decent drummer, too, of course) and certainly a personal favourite, only matched -- at least in the 'pop' world at the time -- by (imho) Mama Cass Elliot and Dusty Springfield.
