1.
is the cab still for sale?
Sold soz.
2.
Well we gave as much notice as we could, and it's working well so far. I guess we'll see. In the meantime please don't sell stuff in this thread as it's a clear breach of the new T&Cs. Thanks ped
No worries.
3. Don't get me wrong, and I'm not against contributing (which I have previously) and I understand the logistics of maintaing such a forum, but isn't this a vicious circle as we are the content ? As I mentioned earlier, I'm slightly gutted that I wasn't aware of any changes due and would have maybe contributed an opinion.
4. ...it's an edit to an earlier post I accidentally deleted.
5.
Well, you could argue that every piece of kit is only attractive to a small audience - with the differences between any two basses becoming greater and greater, selling in a supportive and knowledgeable community like BC has never been more important. Left handed players have less options, so you may well find a buyer more quickly. At the end of the day, we like to think (along with you, I hope) that BC is more than just a place to sell gear, and the payment does more than let you access the marketplace; it keeps the site running and improving, weather you sell stuff here or not. Cheers ped
Fair enough, my fault for not paying attention or getting involved in any earlier discussions regarding the subscriptions. Good luck with the changes.
6.
Well, we'll see. Initial indications show that people would rather sell to a specialist audience in a friendly and mutually beneficial atmosphere such as BC rather than via eBay with it's much higher pricing and lack of 'community'
I agree. I'm just wary of paying full price to offer a minority piece to an even smaller minority.

New bass for sale.
8.
Now there's a chatup line you don't hear every day...
I'm full of it. I'll get my coat.
9.
There's a leftie surcharge less stuff for the mods to buy if it's all leftie stuff
It could be argued that 75% of the goods in the basses for sale market place are of bugger all use to me, all the other market places are fine. Therefore I'd be more open to a discounted option. I can offer left handed DNA !!!
10. Do lefties get a discount? Smaller market share etc. ??!!!! Got to ask !
11. Was going to place a thread to sell my LH Nordy - shocked by the members having to subscribe feature - didn't see that coming. Just questioning if we southpaws should be offered some kind of discount when posting in the 'basses for sale' section, as the vast majority of ads in the basses for sale are of no use or interest ?!!
12. Left Handed 2010 Nordstrand VJ5 passive in Sunburst, £1950 ovno. I'm currently using my active basses more and don't really want to bugger about with this beauty.... One owner from new, I'm not in a panic to sell and it would get used once more after this brief spell of insanity. Would prefer a straight sale but could be persuaded to trade with left handed Stingray 5, Alembic SC, Sadowsky and Ampeg B15 ! I'll take more pics asap. I'd say the bass is mint / 99.8% save for 2 tiny tiny dings that I'll try to illustrate in any pics. I've got no case, so we'd cross that bridge as/when. Thanks.

15. They're probably a sod to get hold of left handed.
16. Testing the water No.988 - thinking aloud, I've got a mint two year old passive sunburst left handed Nordstrand VJ5 but the voices are telling me to go back to either a Warwick Streamer 5 or a Musicman Stingray 5, I need my head reading but I'm just not using the VJ5 and using actives again. I'd value this bass circa £1950. The voices say unmolested lefty MMSR5, Streamer 5 (not lx) or similar (not Sandberg, Bongo). EDIT: actually, come to think of it I'd also be interested in Alembic SC or Fender Jazz custom shop 60's, Ampeg B15 ??!!!! 'Go back' as in yes - I've been here before and sold them. Any interest to anyone ? feel free to PM me for more specs/pics/details etc.
17. I'm amazed this is still here - these things are excellent !
18. Then again compare it to this - for sale within this forum: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/198634-fsft-78-cream-fender-jazz/
19. That's a proper oddity. My observations... '78 Decal A '78 Jazz would have had the bullet truss on the neck ? Unless it's been repaired ? White plastic parts suggest 80's ? The 4 Bolt Neck plate suggests 70's P bass (or 82 onwards) as opposed to 3 bolt used on jazz '76-81 - circa '77 they dropped the serial no stamp Black dots and white bound neck - no idea, erm. actually see the post below! IMHO and it's difficult to tell from pics but the neck suggests Precision to me. Assembled from parts or 1983 ?!!! Whatever - it's cool.
20. So print copy is £4.35 and digital is £6.99, correct me if I'm wrong. Has this issue (excuse the pun) been covered in this thread, I've only gone back about 4 pages.
21. Lack of a Jack Socket may hinder any attempts at amplification. Just a small point.
22.
Nothing wrong with a bass with covers on , A precision looks it's best with the covers fitted
Quite right there ! The 'I know' bit was referring to the age-old leaving your manky strings on a P bass opus !!!!
23. My '76 freshly restrung (I know) with cover on.
24. Hopefully he take this on tour.
25. ...and Mesa.
