1.
I really like the look of the Tonehammer and the BDDI. Only put off the by the Behringer purely because of the name (had bad experiences before)
Yeah its cheap, but compared to the other gear it has to be the best value, especially if you only want the pedal as a 'just in case'. I'd say its only weak point is the case, but its the kind of pedal your likely to leave on, so I dump it on top of the amp or leave it out of the way. Got a shop nearby where you could try anything out?
2. Get yourself some kind of Preamp/DI box, leave it in your gig bag then your sorted if this happens again. What you get depends on the sound your after, although the Sansamp bass driver DI & MXR M80 get good reviews. Behringer also do a decent clone of the Sansamp, much cheaper, and I happen to (cough) have one in the for sale section (cough). Edit: You could look into some of the Eden stuff if you want similar controls to your amp...
3. Are you sure it's inc p&p ? It said to call for info when I looked...
4. Owned from new for about 6 months, 100% working, small marks on the back, you can hardly see it in the photos. Great Sansamp Bass Driver clone, I've been using it as a pre amp and a DI for acoustic gigs and it sounds great! Only selling as I'm trying out some other pedals now so this one isn't needed. Awesome pedal to have in your gig bag should anything go wrong at a gig. £18 delivered in the UK.

Bass DI

+1 for the Behringer. I'm using mine full time at the moment until I can afford something with more options - but for £40 max (new!) you can't go wrong. Plus it sounds great!
6. Up for sale is my Trace Elliot 2x10 cab. Bought about a year ago from 'kaygee' on here, now selling this one as I have my eye on something else ... you know how it is. Great little cab, the speakers aren't the originals but Celestion BN10-200 Neo's, rated at 200 watts, 8ohms each (400 watts@ 4ohms in all - as far as I know!). Decent condition, no major damage although there are some marks on the front grill, the badge is missing, and the carpet is a bit 'bobbly'. Otherwise the cab is in 100% working condition. £125 collected from Benfleet, Essex. I will deliver it for free if your local, and am happy to meet in the middle (for a bit of petrol money) if your a little further away. Im in Canterbury quite often so could arrange something if your in that area! Welcome to come and give it a try, and if you would like more photos message me with your email address and I'll send you some! Any questions please feel free to ask, thanks!
7. I'm pretty set on getting the 212, will be the first bit of amp gear of bought new! They seem to be perfect for what I need, I'm thinking of going for the 8ohm cab ( i use a pre amp/power amp set up). If gigs get bigger and better I might go for two 212. PS: shinhoman - what amp do you use to drive this? and did you try it out before buying it? just curious.
8. Anyone own/tried these out? I'm looking at the 212, seems good for the money!
9. Any other X3 Live users want to share their favourite settings?
10. Hey, does the 4x8 stack onto the 15 a little neater if the 15 is stood vertical??
11. I love this bass, my main bass at the mo...can get so many sounds from it. If I had the cash I'd snap this up for a back up

POD X3 LIVE

Nice review ! I use my X3 live through a power amp and then two 2x10 cabs. I love this set up, I can get virtually any sound I want/need. It does take a while to get to grips with the set up/levels of patches though, and live on the spot tweaking can be difficult. I have a Behringer DI that I use for adjustments live. Swap my cabs and I have a guitar rig as well! Great pedal, patience with these really pays off!
13. I used to have a Cube 100, best practise amp by far, and so loud! Wish i still had it
14. Anyone had any experience with these? They look ok considering how cheap they are! 15. Selling for a friend, not a Bass gear but someone on here might be interested.... Marshall 1960AV Vintage Guitar Cab In perfect working condition, all 4 12inch speakers are undamaged, sounds great and was hardly gigged. There are a few scuffs to the tolex on the back of the cab, although no more than the usual wear and tear! (if anything, less than usual!) I Have more photos, if your interested let me now and I can email them to you. Collection only due to size/weight. Looking for £250 ONO, will consider trades... ESP LTD Viper 400 Black Near perfect condition, hardly used at all, mainly home/studio use. Really nice guitar, perfect for Metal/Hard Rock ! More info can be found at: (NOT white, this guitar is black!) http://www.dv247.com/guitars/esp-guitars-l...ic-white--47010 I will upload some photos when I get them via email! Collection only, don't want to post this! Will include a padded gig bag. Looking for £385 (it is in great condition!).
16. I've had 24 frets since my first (half decent) bass and it's what im most comfortable with. I've tried the 5 string Yam BB, and I love the sound, feel and looks of the bass, I just prefer having one bass that I can do everything on. I don't want to waste time ( as little as it may be) switching guitars on stage for different songs, when you only have a 30-40 minutes we try to cram as much music in as possible! Quick edit : It's already been said, but I like the extra frets not so much because i use the extra 3 as much, but because it makes 15+ feel more comfortable. For me anyway. PS: Hey Alex! Long time no speak, hope your good! If I went for the fender it would have to be the P Deluxe ! ..although....I think i prefer the feel of the yamaha. Fender 5 strings just feel odd to me. & I'll have to get to one of your gigs when your local !
17. Available to stream / download for free at the following link: beta.projectrodney.com/blowtorchponies All you need is a facebook account! Let me know what you think, good or bad! Thanks!
18. Thinking about getting a new bass, really like the look of a yamaha bb 5 string or a fender 5 string of some kind. Only thing is that I have always had 24-frets, does anyone going from 24 to 20/21 miss the extra high notes? I know its not the most used part of the neck, but I like having it there when i need it. Any thoughts?
19. Hmm, i can link both my trace cabs so thats not a problem. Thinking about it now, i might just spend more money and get the mb 500 or maybe the fusion, and do away with the power amp. Its only a bit bigger....
20. I wanna go for a lightweight head, looking at the GK MB200. Just want opinions really from people who have used it, as I doubt I'll be able to find one anywhere close enough for me to try it out. I was thinking of using the head alone with my Trace Elliot 2x10 cab for Rehearsal / Small gigs, then combined with a power amp and a second 2x10 cab for larger gigs. At the moment im using my X3 live and a Behringer BD121 with a samson power amp. The pedal is great for home practise and amazing in the studio, but live tweaks are too much hassle (thats when the Behringer comes in). I will keep the X3 live, and just use it for my overdrive and effects with the pre amps / cab sims bypassed. Any thoughts? Thanks !
