1. Not had this long, works great just changing my set up a bit. 350 watts @ 4/8 ohms per channel, 700 watts @ 8ohms bridged. In great condition, has been kept in a Warwick case since I've owned it. I'll include this but its a bit tatty, and one of the catches that holds on the lid is broken, you can have the lid if you want to fix it! Manual can be found here: http://www.samsontec.../s-series/s700/ Collection only from benfleet, essex, it weighs a tonne! I'll deliver it for a bit of petrol money if your not to far, plus I'm in Canterbury every other weekend so may be able to sort something out if you live in that area. Cant get pictures to upload, so heres a link to the ebay auction: http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=180737961580 If you want any more just message me your email address and I'll send some your way. Thanks for looking!

9. May as well delete this now as I won't be getting anything new until I sort my f'ed car out! I'm so happy right now...
10. More response than I was expecting, thanks for all the advice. At the moment I'm using a Pod X3 Live for my preamp & effects, into a Samson power amp then two 4 ohm cabs. Its plenty loud enough and I like the sound, but we're starting to do more stripped down acoustic-ish gigs, and I'm only using one 2x10 and just my clean bass sound. Ideally I want something small so I don't use up any floor space (which is usually limted) with the Pod, plus the power amp is just under 20kg itself. It would be easier to just have a small head on top of the cab. Although, just seen the lightweight peavey power amps, and am tempted to go for one of those, and maybe get another Behringer BDI21 to sit ontop/in the case for small gigs. The peaveys £230 new as well?! Anyone had any experience with these?
11. I use a Pod X3 Live, takes a bit of getting used to but you can run two tones at once, great for using guitar effects/amps and keeping your bass tone. Amazing plugged into the computer as well.
12. Thanks for the replys! Not looked at the Mibass or Superfly stuff. Moneys an issue at the moment, and I've used peavey gear in the past and loved it so I may check that out. Don't think running them series is a good idea as the cabs are different.
13.
Get a special cable to run em in series and they will be 8 ohms together which will work through any amp! Then you can get another 2 of the same cabs and build a wall of doom.
What cable would this be?
14. I'm after a head that can run two 4ohm cabs, maybe something like the Ashdown LG1000. I like the specs but keep reading about problems with it. What else does 2x4ohm outputs/goes to 2ohms?
15.
How about getting pedal type preamp instead of the pod... I like the sansamp, but there are lots out there and then you can DI out of that then into your amp, if you're borrowing gear, then you can still get 'your' sound Overall getting a head is better, but the sansamp approach really makes life easy. I take my sansamp around when I can't be bothered with taking my head or I'm not sure about the gear I'm using for the gig. Also they record well
Thanks for the reply. The Hartke is a pedal type preamp. I was using a Behringer but thought I'd try something else and through my power amp and cab it sounds great, its just the DI. I tried switching the ground/lifts and putting it behind the Pod but got the same problem. I want to keep the pod as I love the dual tone feature for my overdrive, and the fact I can have a clean preset, then 3 different 'crunch presets'. Plus it has all the effects I might want, I just find the amp/cab sims a bit crap used live. Hope this makes sense!
16. Anyone else find the DI on the Hartke VXL too hissy? Used it for the first time last night, and there as far too much hiss from the DI, ended up ditching it. Annoying as I was using it as a Preamp into a power amp, with a Pod X3 live in front for effects. Ended up using one of my patches on the Pod which sound ok, but I prefer a seperate preamp as its easier to tweak last minute. Any thoughts? Im thinking of just getting a head and losing the pre/power amp set up...
17. I need to change a fret in one of my basses, got a dent in it! Just wondering if anyone knows anywhere decent to get this done? Im in Benfleet, Essex. I havn't checked with the Southend PMT or Allegro but I imagine their quite expensive! Any advice would be appreciated.
18. Bought a Hartke bass attack the other day, sent me photos, great comms, quick postage, top man!
