10. if it's just the buzzing try fitting it nearer to the strings Bob, it has to be about the same as a BG hope this helps... some of the earlier pups dont have the phono plug tho
11.
Thanks Mate - I'm saving for an Ampeg though I'm afraid - I'll do a straight trade for a nice Kay M-1 though
sounds like portaflex gas? i'll trade the M1 for one of these... 12. trade you an Fdeck HPF ver2 Bob http://personalpages.tds.net/~fdeck/bass/hpfpre.htm
13. any chance of a pic when you get it? so is it single coil or humbucker?
14. didn't know he made a Humbucker for DB? he will make anything you ask for i think tho these are made to order, he usually asks for a template of the fingerboard end
15. you have to install them very close to the strings for best results and no hum, like a BG, not so good for slappers
16. Aaron Armstrong makes these in the UK for around £70 http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/category/Electron..._Pickups,b.html they glue to the end of the fingerboard and theres a small hole through it so you can screw a self tapper if you prefer. GREAT pickup for Double Bass, its a single coil and the ones Aaron supplies come with a Phono connector fixed onto the back where the wiring is if you oder one make sure you get Aaron to wire it otherwise it comes unwired and it's a frig
17. @~ *@?Z !!!
18. cheers icastle, Behringer jobby looks like a result i think, no more A/B, DB. BG XYZ
19. i'm thinking if i have the vol down on the input until i use the BG it will be ok, hang on tho then i've got to kill the vol on the DB when i use the BG ok.... any suggestions for a decent A/B box?
20. will i do any harm by putting a double bass into an EQ and then into the return AND also putting a Bass into the single input or should i stop prattin around and get an A/B box
21. eeeyup.... golden rule is ALWAYS lay your bass on the floor i heard of someone did just that and then reversed over it tho not funny i know.... but hope it helps and she gets better soon
