1. Fret not (I'll get me coat)... it's the camera angle...
2. ...well, it's almost finished! Neck settling in nicely. Added some carbon vinyl to the headstock - passes under poor lighting! Gonna wait a couple of days to set her up - but really pleased with the result - and sounds good too! Ok, no moans about the amount of weeds twixt the paving stones!! They add colour!
3. Indeed they seem to be - just stringing the new Carbon fretless - I'll bung some pics in the build diary... :-)
4. ...bought some flats from Chris - seamless! Good bloke.
5. very I'm afraid... in the post to me *woohoo* (sorry, too keen?)
6. ...so, the neck arrived and is mounted, some carbon vinyl cheating on the headstock. Quarter pounders in place - just waiting for the scratchplate to arrive!
7.
I'm surprised that you didn't go for a Status graphite neck? Looks great.
...and therein lies the need for a cheap fretless... Neck arrived this morning - carbonising the head. Scratchplate almost done!
8. Banged 'em on ebay for a starter price of £40 + £25 P+P link ...grab a bargoon!
9. ...well, I bought this P-bass body from bassistjonathon - not a clue what it was, and sent it to my best friend in Canada who manufactures some of the best windsurfing boards on the planet and is a nifty carbon composite guru. He has stripped the finish and laminated a layer of carbon over the wood, then several coats of polyester, a lot of spit and polish later... I have a Mitey Mite fretless neck on its way from the States (need to apply some carbon to the headstock), all black hardware, quarter pounder from Nick (OHM), P-bass passive wiring kit and a custom clear/black scratchplate cut at auroraproject I'm designing at the mo... stay tuned!
10. We are moving to active monitors, so these have to go. Carpet covered 3-way passive monitors. I got them on ebay for around £80+ delivery. How about £70 the pair? (+ shipping - although I'd prefer collection as they are heavy buggers). Dusty, but I will clean 'em up and carpet thin on a couple of corners. Parallel speakons and top hat slots if you want to use them for PA or stand mounted. Technical Info 3-way speakersystem
12" speaker + tweeter + horn Max. Power: 250 W Impedance: 8 Ohm Dimensions: (LxWxH) 400x520x460mm Weight: 15,66 Kg Owt else you need to know, drop me a line.
11.
Err... That's a guitar... No basses anywhere in sight. :-(
Good Lord! It is a guitar! ;-) ...er, you did say you couldn't find a shop that stocks the guitars...? I found one. :-)
12.
WTF!? I've been after one of these for the last 2 years, but not even found a shop that stocks the guitars let alone the basses...
Just caught up with this thread - my local shop, Absolute Music used to stock 'em - had a few if I remember correctly (guitars that is).
