  1. Cleaned up pretty well and it's nicely equiped with a set of Quarter Pounders and a Badass II. Thinking I might turn it into a wee project... Excuse the mess, im on a quick break from refitting the bathroom 😂
  2. Recommissioning a Jazz I bought from.a pal last year, been lying in bits since then. The Fender decal's flaking off and the serial no. doesn't seem to bring any results. The neck's pretty bashed up anyway so I might punt it for cheap on here and grab a Player Series neck for it. What say you guys?
  3. There's 2 of these on Reverb for £1250, special price for basschat lets see if she goes.
  4. Late to the party here but I guess; what Perfectionbg said! Japanese Fenders can definitely be on-par with the US stuff. This is the cheapest on Reverb last I checked too, with a couple being listed well over a grand. Doesn't seem to be a time for selling expensive guitars but we'll hold on. Down to £900.
  5. Now on Reverb should anybody want to pay more for it 😂
  6. Gonna stick 'er on Reverb before I end up caving and keeping it
  7. Up for sale is my crafted in Japan Fender Jag bass. Bought it around 6 months ago from Bassbros and in that time it's seen less than 10 hours play from me. It's an awesome bass and I would love to keep it but last in, first out. Just haven't been playing much to warrant keeping it when I have other hobbies to see to! In great knick for going on 16 year old. Bit of tarnishing on the tuners and bridge, electronics are a bit scratchy but work fine, few light scratches on the body and a couple small dings to the clearcoat (none through the paint) Neck and headstock are immaculate. It's a bit neck-divey due to the design but a suede backed strap keeps that in check. I think it's sounds awesome in active mode. Looking for what I paid for it - £1000 and i'll cover the ppstage to the UK. No hardcase but it will be in a (admittedly crappy) Stagg gigbag that it came with and packaged up very well, insured to full price etc. Just grabbed a couple quick photos can easy get more detailed ones if required. No trades, got plans for my motorbike over winter and another bass won't help with that 😂 cheers
  8. Yeah mate this is the very one, I didn't hang about once I saw it!
  9. Came across this kind of accidently after being in the market for a 70s style Jazz with blocks, matching headstock, etc. Played one of these many years ago and remembered really liking it so I pulled the trigger and it arrived yesterday, it's in pretty awesome knick for a 2006 and these seem to be hard to come by now so im very pleased! Not had a chance to plug in yet but first impression are very nice, update to follow...
  10. Picked up an ABM410 EVO a couple years ago but it only saw some real volume from my Shuttlemax 12.0 for the first time recently, very nice, solid cab and I think they look well cool. Fancying a head to go with it for something different, does anyone know what the ABM600 pumps out at 8ohm? Im assuming 350w-ish? High chance i'll get a 210 or 115 to go with it so I probably will have the full 4ohm before long, while im still young and fit!
  11. Yeah obviously just buying a lefthanded neck is no use because the side dots will be on the underside. Guitarbuild.co.uk could be a shout, not sure if you can chose the grade of the maple though, I have a 1-piece Ash Strat body from them and it's very nice. Failing that, I'd be looking at importing from Warmoth. Been fancying a Reverse Headstock Jazz for myself!
  12. Both boxed, in used but decent condition with velcro on the bottom. Just a couple of quick photos off my pedal board but I'll get some better shots up after work. Super Symmentry - SOLD Filter Twin - £115 - ON HOLD Includes tracked UK postage. Haven't frequented the forum much in the past couple years but ebay feedback can be seen here: https://feedback.ebay.co.uk/fdbk/feedback_profile/stuartramsay11 Cheers
  13. Watched a couple of demos, not as confusing an interface as I initially thought... And while 500 bones is a huge amount for pedal, it does have the potential to replace at least a couple of pedals, especially if the tuner's solid and reliable. I've never owned a DG distortion but I've given the Neural plug-in a go and liked it, and I've got the super Symmetry Compressor. Could maybe see this in my future. The comment about pub toilets and the rotary footswitches is completely valid too hahaha
  14. Awesome man looks very sleek! I've been fancying another Spector lately; had a Euro 5LX years ago but the B was surplus to requirements and it was a heavy beast. The Classic is weight-relieved like the Euro LT?
  15. Damn I was eyeing this up when I first went on BD, it didn't stay on there long! I really prefer the look of the 2nd gen over the first ones, they've managed to do their own thing without getting weird Very cool man, you're very lucky indeed!
  16. Quick question for you guys/girls; is the V series body smaller than a P-Bass? I've got an EBMM Sterling and I very much enjoy the dinky body shape
  17. Haha yeah for sure! But it's listed as "Sold" on BD so I just assumed The Gallery just bought it and are punting it themselves? I did notice that too but I think it's the way the light's hitting it - The inlays appear to have the same dark streaks. I need to get a life I think!
  18. I'm hoping to be in the market for a nice addition when funds allow in the coming months, loosely keeping an eye on the classified section here and the 'bay, Bass Direct etc. Kept checking back on a really tidy Ultra Jazz that BD had; though it sold a few days ago https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Jazz_USA_4_Ultra.html I feel these are pretty overpriced brand new but this looks to be mint and was listed for £1399, pretty good I thought. Now it looks like The Bass Gallery have bought it and are selling the exact bass for £1750? Photos are taken under totally different lighting but i'm 100% sure it's the same bass. https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/fender-american-ultra-jazz-bass Thought it was kind of interesting... I guess the search continues!
  19. Very nice! Is that finish Candy Cola? I've got a Am. Standard from around the same time that started life as a Candy Cola, it's now Pearl White with a J-Retro pre.
  20. Wow. What a beauty. Didn't stick around long by the looks of it either!
  21. So I plugged straight in and like you say, I'm gaining pretty much nothing by using my amp in the way that I am. Recording fine but sounding a bit lifeless, time to look at some plug-ins. Been considering the HX Stomp which might be a good solution for me with the amp and cab sims. Thanks for the pointers folks
  22. Yeah it's just the same, so I think it could be to do with the input im using... Just ordered an adapter that will let me plug into that side so we'll see! To be honest Si, I never really thought to even try it like that- just figured that I use this amp for gigging and practicing so thought it'd make sense to use it for this too, am I taking the long way around? Not to mention, my PC has seen far better days haha, crashes every so often as it is, I'm not sure it'd handle me throwing in plugins etc
  23. I'm set to "mic" level on the DI as i'm currently into the mic input on the Scarlett, tried it on "line" one time and it didn't like it haha Just thinking though, I could set it on "line" and get and XLR - Jack cable to plug into Input two, also set on "line"?
