1. Don't think I've got room for a Sousaphone!
2. What this thread has shown me is I need to improve my theory! I find it difficult on the bass though (just like playing songs!) so thinking picking up another instrument from scratch and learning theory/sight reading with that. Played euphonium for a while in school and enjoyed brass, anyone recommend a brass instrument that learning theory on would help bass (Bass clef obvs!) , but also something I could play in non-brass bands (eg ska!)?
3. Thanks for the link, great article, look forward to having a listen to the clips later.
4. Thanks for the responses guys, went back to it this morning before leaving the house and tuning properly helped. It was a touch out by the end of my practise last night which I reckon was causing the doubt.
5. Trying to figure out the descending part after the chorus but just can't get it, every time I think I've cracked it the next play through it sounds off. The closest I think is Eb - Db - C - Bb - C - Eb... does anyone double it up and can tell me for sure? Hate having that niggle where I'm not 100% sure. Other than that, much fun!
6. SOLD!
7. Sold pending
8. Bump and price drop
9. I had the same thing as you, heard myself solo'd in studio and was appalled at how noisey it was, it was like I was hammering on every note with the left hand. I found playing with the bass unplugged, not altering setup (which felt right - and still does) meant that I could hear what was actually going on, and has improved my left hand technique a lot.
10. That's the only Sub-Lime I've seen apart from mine, love it. As well as your gain and volume kobs on either side, on the bottom you can control distortion tone and crossover (which frequencies the distortion starts at), and the big ol' wheel at the top is a kind of on the fly 'blend' control. It's the distortion pedal I've had most interest from other players, which I take as a good review! Also had to get mine from the states because there weren't any around when I was looking, this is a great price.
11. Bump and price dopped again
12. BUMP and price drop
13. No worries.
14. Would you consider trade for my POD XT plus some cash your way? I'm in London over the weekend so could potentially meet.
15. Email sent
16. Courier will be about £10.00, might be able to send tomorrow (saturday) if not monday. Bank transfer preferred. Thanks for the offer grahamd but I've got my eye on something.
17. [s]£80.00 (ono)[/s] [s]£50.00 (ono)[/s] £45.00 posted Selling my POD XT (kidney) - brought for covers band that did two or three rehearsals before splitting, great for getting a wide range of tones for live and I've also used it for DI in home studio. Very good condition, with box and manual. It's well worth sitting down with the manual and amp for an afternoon to play with, so much tweaking! I found downloading patches from the Line 6 site and then fiddling with them gave me the best sound/time ratio, building tones from scratch a bit more time consuming. I'm in Mid Sussex so can be collected or can arrange delivery. Collection preferred!
18. £250.00 + p&p Looking to sell my RS112. I was hoping to build a lightweight TC rig but can't afford another RS cab at the moment, so looking for something bigger and heavier ( ) It's in very good condition, gigged twice and used for practice very rarely (rehearsal rooms have backline), spent most of it's life in my bedroom. I will get pictures later but there are no big marks or scratches. All info here: http://www.tcelectronic.com/rs112/ I'm in Mid Sussex and would prefer collection but can arrange postage at the expense of the buyer.
19. Would love a go on this but just too far away
20. Sorry - item I was after has gone ( ) so withdrawn.
21. Up for sale to fund a combo, my BH250. Played around 15 gigs with this over a couple of years, not used for practise so spent most of it's life in a drawer. Carried in a reinforced bag but small areas of wear on the bars on the front pedal. This is where they rested against the side of a big effects pedal which covered the front. No marks on the front panel and all dials/switches work properly. Specs etc: http://www.tcelectronic.com/bh250/ £withdrawn + p&p Collection preferred from Haywards Heath but will post.
22. Hi would you be willing to sell the cab? If so how much for cash on collection?
23. Had the Soundblox Multiwave Distortion off him, great comms throughout, good price etc etc. Absolutely no probs, wouldn't hesitate to deal with again.
