2.6 diameter is too big. I have a P Pickup that I’ve swapped the screws on and they don’t fit this pickup.
-
Soap bar pickup screw, looking for a gold version to match the rest of the hardware I’ve changed. Any help appreciated!
-
Cheers! Had one a while ago and got rid because of the size. Nothing else came close and when one popped up and FB Marketplace I was straight in there.

Parallel distortion 😄 Posting some sound clips up later. Hoping to get something smaller than the Sub Lime so I can get my wah back on there and some modulation. Looper on left is to play a vocal sample for one of our outros so no input just straight into FoH. Quick demo - straight into Logic from the board, no plug ins and quickly mixed with a demo (Guitar into Logic amps and Logic drummer) Both pups dirt.mp3

Warwick Rockbass Corvette w/Thomann padded gig bag. Satin black. Bad points first - pitting on pickup poles and a couple of rubs and nicks on the body, slight buckle rash on back. Small dent in neck but doesn’t affect performance or sound. Stitching on the padding on shoulder strap of case has failed, I have two of these cases and both have the same problem. Aesthetic only. Onto the good! Very versatile great sounding bass. Coil split on both pickups gives lots of sound options. Currently tuned to CGCF with Newtone Diamond 120 - 90 - 70 - 50 but I have some D’Addario 105 pro steels I can put on there if you prefer (with full setup). It’s spent its life going between E standard and drop C tuning depending on who I’m playingand handles both fantastically. The adjustable nut is a genius idea. Electrics and hardware all good, has Warwick security strap lock buttons fitted (strap part not included) but will include the original strap buttons too. Only selling due to strict one in one out policy. Collection preferred but can meet subject to petrol money and cleared funds.

Update to say Dunable have got back to me, checked the wiring in the photo and confirmed it’s correct, did a bit of trouble shooting and have offered to help find a tech and cover the cost of repair so much happier on that front 😊

After rehearsal last night, a) this thing sounds incredible even with just the P pickup b)I think it’s just a duff pot as when wiggled/pressure applied there is signal. When I was measuring with the multimeter the bass was lying on its front on a cushion so there would have been pressure being applied to the pot. I will solder in a spare I have exactly as is wired not to test.
-
A bit of testing this morning with a plan to swap some leads around later to solve the problem. Both volume pots read the same resistance on the meter so it’s not a duff pot. Looking at the back of the pup is it worth swapping the red and white wires on the pot to see if they’ve been wired wrong, or would there be no output if that were the case?
-
Waiting their response 🤞 Such a shame I’m chuffed to bits with the rest of it.
-
Plot thickens, I know someone who got the same bass on the same day and although they’ve got other problems the electronics are fine and seem to be wired the same as mine.
-
Just checking I’ve got this right before I start. Red and white should be soldered together and isolated rather than green and white. Green should be soldered to the back of the pot. Black should be soldered where red is now. Bit disappointing there’s this much work to do on a brand new bass!
-
Yes that’s the brand, should have looked there first sorry! Thank you bud, will dig the soldering iron out and have a crack, stay tuned for more obvious questions 😂
-
Does that mean I can get a push/pull pot and coil split?
-
It’s a Dunable Soapbar Humbucker.
-
P bass pickup in neck position, soap bar at the bridge. Vol/vol/tone. Neck pickup sounds glorious and volume works as it should. Bridge pickup has very low output and volume seems to be on or nothing, but it’s so low it’s difficult to tell. Couple of wires from the bridge pickup (white and green at the top of the photo) aren’t connected to anything and sleeved off. I have a multimeter but don’t know what I’d be looking for! Neck volume - bridge volume - tone

Anyone seen/used/heard any of these in the flesh? http://customshop.seymourduncan.com/lemmy-kilmister-signature/

I remember trying a Tokai Talbo in Denmark Street around 2000/2001 I wish I'd got it, haven't seen another since. Every time I go it seems a bit worse, I thought most of the shops are now owned by the same people?
-
I think I'm pretty much there tbh, first band practise with it this morning so will let you know. Thanks for the offer!
Yep thems the notes that I play...well actually I play E D C# B C# E but we do it in E not Eb :-)
Ta!
-
Yeah the horns soloed are fantastic, think I'm gonna copy them for the whole chorus.
Keyboard of some sort. It will help with everything and is wonderfully straightforward in layout, theory just seems to fall out of it. I picked up an old Yamaha organ (two manuals, bass pedals, built-in drum machine, etc.) a few weeks ago. I am learning like never before.
Now that's a good idea! I'm having a crack at the Major's theory lessons first but will be scouring ebay if that fails.

Just looked at prices...think I'll just have to bite the bullet and sit down with the bass and some exercises!
