  1. Question for the group.... I live in Harlow, Essex... Anyone know who does custom molds? I have custom tips but I am now keen to get the unit disassembled and refitted to a full enclosed casing. Better fit and better sound isolation (cos the bloody guitarist insists on turning up all the time). I need a quick turn around too, as we gig just about every weekend. London, Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounds I guess... Thanks in advance Julian aka Glassmoon
  2. Hi all Maybe a daft question, but what pedal toppers/buttons (those things) for a Zoom MS-60B? I have a packet of the kind that fit my EBS and TC Electronic stuff, but not the zoom. I've checked out these at Amazon, just not sure if they will work... Any here with Zoom gear - if you use these buttons, which ones? Thanks in advance... Julian aka Glassmoon
  3. Question for you @grapefruitmoon: how do you find having the pre-amp at the end of the chain? I've always had mine at the start, so interested to know how the various effects/patches play off against the pre. Ta!
  4. Would you be able to define "faulty" please?
  5. Cheers mate - I'm leaning towards that actually
  6. Hey @BigRedX Well, that is my thinking too... I've never used one before when I have used IEMS. I never knew what the desk guys added, but it wasn't coming from me at all. The EBS is my pre-amp and my de facto tone. From what I hear, the IRL is just to emulate a cab - or an amp and a cab. I guess, is it that important to have that running? I dunno. I like my Ashdown rig... not sure I'd want whatever was available.. or make my own (gosh knows how I'd even go about thinking of starting that exercise). So, the pedal is there for my use... but how will I even test it, other than at a rehearsal or live? I guess having it for free, and the possibility that it makes my bass sound warmer, is a plus.. but is putting it in the FX loop, after the FX, a good/bad/clever/dumbass thing to do? Anyway - thanks for responding
  7. Anyone? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeez?
  8. Oh wow, I'd kill for that - huge Ashdown fan... just sadly a wee bit far from Essex
  9. Hi all, Can I ask a noobie question please.... my band leader went and sprung for me, a Behringer P2 belt unit and a TC IRL pedal so I don't have to schlep my rig around - and to keep the stage volume down as much as possible. I alreay have good IEMs, so we ar off to the races, methinks.... Currently, I run bass > EBS MicroBass 3 + FX Loop: Zoom MS-60b ... and I take a DI from the EBS.. From what I understand, the IRL should be last in the signal path, but if that is so, then I would loose the balance output from the XLR. Will the IRL work in the FX loop? Zoom into TCE and back into EBS? Or should I just take a jack to jack from the IRL to the desk? Failing all that... I really should've just got the new 60b+, right? Many thanks in advance Julian aka Glassmoon
  10. Cheers mate. At nearly half the price, it's definitely worth a look.
  11. Pooh, @stewblack... The Ampero... Is that something akin to the HX Stomp? I like the price point
  12. Last night. I finally got a sound out of the Retroglide that reminded me of my old silver faced ABM head. I was chuffed to bits.
  13. Ah, so a similar thing to the 10B back in the day... do you perchance know if it's only one effect that can be toggled on/off by the CTRL pedal, or 2 or more? Or, can you set up scenes/patches and just flip between them? And sorry for the "oh great, it's that Herbert again" questions
  14. Hi All, So, my journey back to this pedal continues... but one question... perhaps a silly one... we so (for our sins) Ice Ice Baby, and I'm flipping between clean and a mix of octave and drive (for that synth vibe). I use a Zoom MS60B, and it has the line selector function which allows me to put the "synth" after the LS and flip flop between the 2 sounds... (a) does the ME90 have this kind of capability (I'm 99% sure it does, but I ask still) (b) does it do scenes/patches a la GT-10B or Stomp or whateveritscalledthisweek My thanks in advance - saves me trolling for answers LOL Julian aka Glassmoon
  15. Interesting that you're going from the Stomp to the ME90... I've looked at those... they look amazing. Wondering if they have the functionality too
  16. Of course - the CTRL pedals!!! I've done this before... damn, I'm itching now for one of these... or do I save for ages for the HX Stomp LOL Man, I need a life
  17. Yeah, that is what I've been thinking too... BTW - I don't remember... in scene or patch mode, I can flip between Scene A and Scene B, can't I? I need to see if it's viable for songs where there is one patch for the verses and another for the choruses... my Zoom MS-60B allows me to turn a drive on and off using the line selector. I just don't remember now LOL
  18. So I put on a new set of strings and checked the balance and it looks all fine... but to be fair, I've adjusted it back to where I think it was before What perplexes me, is that it was one string... and it didn't look out of sorts with the rest. But hey ho... in for a penny! Thanks all!!
  19. I've been looking at that for a couple of days now, wondering if I should pull the trigger or not. I'd love to play with one again for a few days just to see how good or bad the sounds are
  20. Interesting points here. I'm going to "measure" shortly. The Sadowsky neck is quite flat, but there is an arc, so I'll start by playing with the heights. Interesting that the A and G strings are pretty much equal volume, but not the D? Must be a software issue 😂😁😂
  21. I'll need to check when I get in - my missus has one of those metal technical rulers somewhere - many thanks for the chart - that is awesome!!
  22. Not sure... I did 2 1/2 turns, as Roger Sadowsky says on the "how-to" YT clip - the neck is straight, but not arrow straight... And I dropped the strings down a smidge - they were and are all still at the same height (i.e. no one string stands proud from the rest). I adjusted such a little that the tuning after was marginally out! I just don't know
