Really confused @SpondonBassed - this is a bit like a Line6 product - you buy the head, get the software for free for making your own custom amp patches. You can transfer the patches from PC to the device via bluetooth or your network. You don't need a phone or a tablet.

There's a cloud based network that's free where you can upload or download ready made patches. So, you pay once and that's it - other than your domestic broadband. By your logic you should be saying "no thanks" to bass chat as you need a network subscription to access it

You're over thinking my statement.  Why would I be logical about it?  Mine is a first reaction to a bit of kit that Dood has told us he is going to review.  That's all.

Sorry if you find that confusing. 

I can pick and choose what technology I want in my life.  Nobody says I have to have all of it yet there is a sense of keeping up with the Jones about digital tech that I really don't like.

I miss the "bio" bit in the old forum where I clearly stated that I am still very much an analogue man.

Thanks for suggesting things for me to say.  I'll bear it in mind.
