  1. I also have an AER amp one and got me tempted by the bass cube but would probably be looking at divorce proceedings if I bought this, great amps, great sound, I can just imagine the low end you get out of that sub!
  2. I bought the amp used so I don't know whether it's been abused or not, fortunately I don't think it's gonna cost me too much to get the cone replaced. I just hope that there's nothing going off in the amp that ripped the cone otherwise my new cone will just go the same way!
  3. A glad I've not sold this beauty yet because I've just ripped the speaker cone in my other amp type bump! Anyone know why amp cones rip? Is it just wear & tear or might there be other problems ?
  4. Hi, AER make fantastic amps, would you consider splitting these or any trades?
  5. I've had a reply from AER who have informed me that the first generation amp ones have a heatsink whilst the second generation has a fan as it is better at reducing the temperature of the amp whilst it is working hard.
  6. Does this model have a truss rod, I can't see one on the photos?
  7. I've always thought that Vigier passions are beautiful basses and made to a very high standard indeed, looks like is this a wood neck reinforced with graphite? The ones I've seen before have all have graphite through necks. Have a "if I hadn't recently purchase a Status S2 classic I'd be seriously tempted" bump from me. Beautiful bass.
  8. Yeah, you couldn't be much further away!
  9. Hi, I'm based in Retford, Nottinghamshire.
  10. Hi, I've recently got myself an amp one which I'm mightily impressed with and have just been doing a little research on this issue as I wondered why my fan didn't come on, then I realised it doesn't have a fan! some of these appear to have a heatsink and some have a fan, I'm not sure when the change was done or why or which came first, but I have emailed AER to try and find out. Mine has a big black heatsink on the back, if you google pictures of the amp you will see the difference. I shall post when AER reply after the Easter break.
  11. Thanks, I shall message him
  12. Any thoughts on the AER Basic performer, I recently acquired an AER Amp one which is immense and seems to defy the laws of physics, but I can't help thinking what the basic performer could do with those 4 8inch individually powered speakers. It gets cracking review for double bass, but what about electric bass, anyone got experience with this?
  13. New price £600 My Markbass CMD 102p has just become surplus to requirements. It is a very loud, very light 210 combo throwing out a very good 300 watt. It is in excellent condition and was built in Italy in 2007. Markbass don't sell their amps complete with covers so I purchased a padded fitted cover from Markbass at a cost of £75, which seems a lot just for a cover, but you get what you pay for! This amp has a very handy tilt back facility, it really is an excellent amp. You're welcome to come and try before you buy if you live locally. There are reviews of this amp all over the internet where it always scores top marks, below are the specs. I'm not really wanting to ship this so collection is much preferred. I'm hoping this links to photos as I reached my upload limit! 14. Can't beat a bit of graphite!
  15. Have a bump on me, I also live in Retford and recently sold my BAM 210 (although I never had a footswitch which was rather annoying), great amp with mega volume, it must be one of the loudest 210 combo's out there. The modelling on these are fantastic, I also found that the built in effects and compressor were pretty good. A tad heavy for me which is why I sold mine, but an excellent amp all the same.
  16. Sold to Brucew, thanks for your business.
