1. RAT for everything from boost to dirty fuzz. DAM Greasebox GB-80 is also outstanding on both bass and guitar. Really like the Wren & Cuff Pickle Pie Hella fuzz for muff stuff. Very interested in trying out the Tech 21 VT bass that I have incoming.
2. I have a 1978 RAT clone that works so well on both bass and guitar. A modern ProCo RAT should be easy enough to pick up used on the bay...in fact, I think there was one in the for sale section a little while ago....it was £40 or something like that.
3. Vintage now sold, thanks to everyone who contacted me about these pedals.
4. I bought a set of dots for my little lads acoustic after reading this topic. I ordered through EBay on 19th and the package arrived today. I think that is excellent service from him.

Darkglass Vintage Microtubes. Bought recently from PauBass. It was in mint condition and still is! £150 inc 2nd class recorded delivery to a UK address Will also post to mainland Europe, please add £5. Payment by Paypal or bank transfer please. Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any questions but no daft offers please :-)
6. I seem to have fallen fowl of advertising T&C's by adding the Darkglass pedals after the original advert was posted. I have now listed them as a separate ad.
7. The day after Boxing Day bump.....and a couple of price adjustments.
8. Sod it, I have my eye on something so here is my Vintage Microtubes as well. Price is listed in my first post....please, no derisory offers. Thanks.
9. Check with Bearfoot FX.....might be on their list of upcoming releases?
10. Gavin just bought a Couch strap from me. Total hassle free transaction and a friendly bloke as well, cheers!!
11.
Knew someone would ask that, cant remember for the life of me what its called, its on the Binley Road near 'Uxbpidgl Avenue' as the graffiti kids have renamed it
Express Music?
12. Interesting stuff Mark...I have a Danelectro FishnChips lying around that I'll try out. Where are you setting the EQ on the TB?
13. CeciliaAnn - Pixies is an instrumental I have always wanted to have a bash at
14. They are stupid money but I have to agree on the Darkglass recommendations. Also, you can never go far wrong with a RAT.
15. Has a Digitech Bad Monkey been mentioned? It has a very good EQ and capable of getting quite dirty. I have never used one with bass but I would imagine the low/high EQ would be able to hang on to the bottom end. You could pick one up easy enough for £20/£25 on east ray bay.
16. £20 for a hand made limited edition Couch strap????
17.
Lovely! The usual late 70s fender questions - what's the weight and what's the neck pocket fit like? I love the sticker on the headstock.
The sticker was the clincher ha ha!....me and my school mate used to get the train to Leicester from Hinckley most Saturday afternoons and would always spend ages in Sound Pad...that was around the same kind of time period when this got bought :-) A quick on and off the bathroom scales with it weighs it in at 10lbs... Without taking it apart, the neck and body look to be a nice and tight fit. To be honest, I wouldn't know what common p-bass signs to look out for so happy to take some close ups if you like. Thanks for the posts, I'm glad you are all liking it :-)
18. Picked this up yesterday from my local music shop. It was originally purchased in 1979 from Sound Pad in Leicester although the serial number dates it to 1977/78. I have been playing a Jazz and was actually looking out for another as a back up for when I start gigging in the new year....but I picked this up in the shop and was so impressed that I couldn't resist. It's sounds fantastic, bassy, great sustain and has a kind of growly resonance to it that I was instantly hooked on. My Tokai Hardpuncher couldn't match it and is now on the peg in the shop where this came from. On the one hand it is a totally ridiculous purchase as it has screwed up my plans for buying a back up and thrown my music fund into chaos...and my girlfriend thinks I'm a twat for buying it....but I duckin love it :-)

SOLD

Voodoo Labs pedal power 2 plus. Comes with all original cables and user manual. Power lead not included but if this is a problem I'll sort one out. Great condition, works absolutely as it should do. The white marks you can see on the photo are just tippex so that I could easily identify the higher output ports. It'll come of easily. It was PAT tested for insurance purposes earlier this year hence the sticker on the underside. Price, £100 inc 2nd class recorded postage to a UK address. Thanks for looking and happy to answer any questions.
20. Couch guitar strap in a kind of a gold/brown embossed swirl pattern. Around 18 months old I think. As good as new, only used it a couple of times. Made from a small cut of 30 yr old vintage deadlock vinyl. This is number 6 from a total run of 31. Rough measurements. 2" wide and adjustable from 38" to 65" length. Price, £20 inc 2nd class recorded postage to a UK address. Thanks for to looking, give us a shout with any questions.
21. I love the Megalith! It is a superb distortion pedal with a huge range of sounds available. Best EQ I have used on a pedal. Unless you desperately want to sound like a Bogner or a Marshall this is the distortion pedal to choose. Unboxed but excellent condition. Two strips of Velcro on the underside easily removable. £85 inc 2nd class recorded shipping to a UK address. I am happy to post to other locations outside UK. Please add £8 to mainland Europe, £12 for rest of world. Paypal using gift option is preferred or bank transfer. Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any questions. PS, Pedal supplied without a battery installed. PPS, my comments on the Megalith are based on using it with guitar, not bass.
22. I can recommend the Genz contour 500. I had one for a short while and only moved it on as I do prefer the mix and match possibilities of separates. You can lift the Contour with one hand although it is a bit bulky to actually walk anywhere far with it. The EQ is very flexible and has a few nice features as well such as an Aux in, headphones, and tuner out. .....and a big selling point is the ability to add an extension cab which I don't think you can do with the BG250. They are £329 or something like that from BassDirect.
