Apologies if I have misread your post but I hope StringsDirect haven't charged you extra for the mounting brackets??

Matamp GT2 - 50 watt http://matamp.co.uk/amplification/gt2.htm It has had zero use since August last year and as much as I would love to hang onto it, that makes no sense. It needs to be used...and I could really do with the cash!!! I picked it up from the factory on 11th February 2013 and other than some regular home use it has only been out gigging with me exactly six times between Feb and August. I was told by Jeff that it was the second one built and the first one sold in UK...the first went to Germany (I think). Aesthetically it is pretty much as new. Asking £950.00 The head has a Roqsolid cover included. I can arrange a courier through my local music shop (happy to share the cost) but I would prefer collection or arrange to meet somewhere. I am in Nuneaton and don't mind anyone with a serious interest in buying it popping round to try it out. UK cost for courier, £40.00. Bank transfer preferred or share Paypal charges. Continuing to offload most of my guitar gear now that I am a full on Bass playing mutha ducka! Here are 10 sets of Ernie Ball regular slinky's for guitar. 10-46 gauge. Brand new, unopened bags. I bought 20 some odd sets last year when I was regularly re-stringing two guitars. 10 sets = £35.00 inc 1st class postage to a UK address. Would rather sell as a set of 10. Bought a VT Bass from George that arrived quickly and well packaged at the worst time of the year for posting anything :-) The pedal is exactly as it was described and at the price I bought it for was an absolute bargain. Always kept me informed as well, top bloke...cheers George!

I'm just sat here mulling over some options before the party starts and I get stuck into the drink..... I have a Fender Jazz and a Precision that I like equally as much. I will likely be swapping them around now and again as my gigging bass for next year. What I don't want to do is take them both with me....mostly as precaution against theft and damage. I think a good idea would be another, cheap bass that would be equipped to be the back up to either one of them. Budget is strictly no more than £200, second hand being my best route I guess. I think I'll get a few BB suggestions but are there others? Have a great evening everyone whatever it is you might be up to :-)

I have decided to try and sell another of my Couch straps. I love them but this one and the one I sold week before last have had no use and it seems daft to hang on to them. This one is all black with metal hardware. It is called the None More Black if you want to find it on the Couch website. I bought it early summer and is unused but for trying it on and mixing and matching with my guitars at home. It is fully adjustable, with approx measurements 38" - 65" long and 2" wide. Price is £20 in 2nd class postage to a UK address.. Thanks for looking.

The one I have is a 1978 clone built by Jim (Jerms) of Built To Spill. There are a number of other clones out there such as Fuzzrocious Rat Tail and VFE Alpha Dog (I think it's the alpha dog anyway). I believe the Rat Tail is tuned for bass and the VFE has a myriad options that I expect includes a decent EQ....I could be wrong on both counts though :-) I don't know how the modern ProCo's hold up but they are cheap enough to experiment with I should think and you could always throw a cheap EQ in the chain to bring up the low end if you found it lacking?

Thanks guys, I'm going to stick with who I know....I would have ended up saving around £10, not to be sniffed at I know but the poss Yodel incompetence coupled with what sounds like dismissive customer service at the shop doesn't make it worth the risk!

gear4music I have never used them. They have a couple of items I need at lowest online price and free delivery. Great if the stuff turns up in good time but I would rather spend the extra from a known reliable source should their reputation be a bit hit and miss. Anyone here have experience with them? Thanks in advance....
