  1. Thanks chaps, think I'll get one, prob need to see it for myself
  2. New member to BC, obertan, has just bought my VT Bass and Pickle Pie B. Really friendly bloke who I have enjoyed corresponding with and I know that two of my favourite bass pedals have gone to someone who is going to make a lot of noise with them, yeah!!! All the best!
  3. Thanks Gaz, so does it just settle down into one of the blue strips of light flitting back and forth across the display it you are in regular mode? Turn around and have a look please :-)
  4. Anyone using one? Thinking about getting one but bit worried that the blue strobe strip will be a bit too much of a cheesy light show going on behind me while I am playing!! I assume it is still in a tuning mode while playing unlike a pedal tuner that is either off or on?
  5. DHA sold, thanks for the interest in it :-)
  6. Strawberries is my second favourite Damned album after Machine Gun Etiquette. Have you already seen this..... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3h-Y0cjPJr0
  7. I had a horrible experience playing at a festival a couple years back. First time I had ever had to rely on monitors, looking back I didn't really appreciate their use as I had always played in small venues where I could hear everything just fine. Anyway, sound check went fine but by the time we went on four bands later the monitors had been moved around and no time to re-position them. Well, the lead guitarist couldn't hear himself so he was pointing up to the soundman, that was drowning everything out for me, I was playing rhythm guitar. I couldn't hear a thing so I am signalling for more of me in a monitor to my left which of course only resulted in hearing myself and no-one else ha ha! Well, after a few songs in I have retreated right the way back so that I can hear the drums and my own amp. I just stood there locking into the drums and listening to the car crash in front of me in the form of the lead guitarists murdered solos and the bass players flatter than a pancake backing vocals. Oh and seeing a few photos just made matters worse because myself and the lead guitar had gravitated to where our monitors had moved to and we are practically on top of each other. Most definitely my worst gig ever.....so far!!
  8. I feel like I have been selling off everything that I have just recently but I am very happy right now with my SVT 3 Pro set up and with the Terror Bass as a light and fine back up I don't see a need to hang on to stuff that is no longer getting a look in.... So, here is my VT Bass bought in as new condition in January from Geofio. It is the newest revision which I assume is version 2? I used it as an always on pedal along with my Terror Bass. I cannot recommend this pedal highly enough if you want SVT tone but the EQ and character knob combined has such a wide sweep that there is a remarkable amount of flexibility to be had from it. It has been sat on my board and gets switched on once a gig so used but still in superb nick as is the metal box and outer sleeve that it came in. Asking £90 including 2nd class recorded postage. Thanks for looking!
  9. The BDi21 was bought a few months ago as a back up to amp failure. I now have two amp heads, one that I will carry around as the back up so might as well move the BDi21 on. Oh, never used except to see if it was working when I bought it. Asking £23 including 2nd class recorded postage. Thanks for looking.
  10. Tom has just bought my Squier VM 77 Jazz. He sent payment ahead of me actually arranging the shipping it and was really patient while I got that sorted over a few days. Had the pleasure of speaking to Tom as well, what can I say...top bloke :-)
  11. Sod it, mind made up...I'm going for the extra durability of a rack case. Just need to find one that has a lid depth deep enough to accomodate the handles on the front of the 3 Pro.
  12. Thanks for the reply Geoff.....to ask a general question, i assume then that the bag is designed the same way as a rack case...is it just the fact that it is made from plywood with a padded cover plus pockets, strap etc.... ......but would you still sit it on top of your cab same as a regular rack case?
  13. Does anyone here use this Rockbag? http://www.thomann.de/gb/rockbag_rackbag_rb24200.htm I might be being a bit thick but although it is described as a rack bag is it actually just a protective bag to carry a rack size amp head in? It is hard for me to tell from the photos and description... I am looking for something to carry my SVT3 Pro around in and don't want to mount it in a rack case. Cheers,
  14. Mine arrived yesterday, very pleased so far. I have bookmarked this thread for future reference, loads of great information here. Good luck with yours JapanAxe :-)
  15. My SVT 3 Pro finally arrived yesterday. Had a quick plug n play this morning. First impressions are very favourable and has the tone I was hoping for. Got the red light clipping and master at noon. Fantastic low thump ...it's really pushing air through the cab, mid punchy and a nice top end clank. All the push buttons make a noticeable difference as of course does the EQ so plenty of tone shaping options....perhaps too many as someone previously mentioned :-) Got a practice Tuesday night and next gig Saturday 3rd so all being well at practice it'll be all systems go for Saturday! Thanks again for all the advice :-)
  16. I've used the same orange Lava coily cable for the past four or five years without a hitch. Regarding the length, you certainly can't walk out front with it but it is plenty long enough for a typical pub/club stage area. I think there are a couple of UK stockists of Lava cable now but can't recall who they are off the top of my head.
  17. I owned both a little while ago and first thing I will say is I am still pissed off with myself for spending the best part of £400 on two pedals. I didn't think they really overlapped that much and for a brief moment sat happily next to each other on my board until I realised how much money was tied up in them! For me only the B3K has something going on that I haven't heard in another pedal...very modern, clanky metallic and scooped sounding.....you have to want that tone though, it doesn't do much else. I don't think the vintage does anything that can't be found in cheaper options such as the VT Bass and the Solidgold Beta. Come to think of it I bet the VT bass would do a decent B3K sound. Everything is there to get close to it..mid, treble, bass, character, drive controls.
  18. I've been looking around for padded bags and cases but haven't been able to find one that fits so far. Had you already tracked down the right sized rack bag?
  19. What are you carrying your 3 Pro's around in.....rack case, flight case, padded bag?
  20. I added the weight to the original post after your question, you didn't miss it :-) No buzz, I think they are great, completely different and I think better than the stock pups in my Fender Jazz (it convinced me to upgrade them!) You are more than welcome to try it out. I am in Nuneaton not far off the A5 so very easy to get to.
  21. Rainbowreality...weight is 7.5 lbs Jassbass...no idea, check the Fender website
