None taken!
Prices should be discussed via PM if the you want to challenge the price with the seller. I, however, was responding to seller's question 'is this priced too high...' in a previous post in order to try and give the seller some feedback in an attempt to try and aid the sale of the item. No offence or harm intended to the seller/sale.
-

Is £45 classed as a bit more! Happy to thrown in the P&P for free if that helps - but this pedal is as new.
I would say the price is too high. £140 plus p& p. Might as well pay a bit more for a new one and have someone to deal with/replace it under warranty if any issues pop up IMO.
-

I can't see any in the UK on EBay at that price!! Looking at retailers such as effectspowersupplies.com they are over £180. As this is as new condition I thought it seemed fair!
I think the price is too high. On ebay for the same price you can buy a new one.
-

Marcus Miller booked for Cheltenham jazz fest in May
Gunsfreddy2003 replied to urb's topic in General Discussion
Come and see me and my band on the Free Stage (next to where Marcus is playing) on the the Sunday night at 8pm!!
Aye aye - I just wanted to say I'm definitely going to this - I'm staying in Cheltenham for the whole weekend so will be around for extended hang-age - but also I've just heard a sneak preview / white label of his new album and it's really good - very powerful jazz funk - all instrumental (so far) with some killer bass/brass lines going on and the usual meaty thumb work really driving it along - his best stuff for a while then Anyway hope to see some of you lot there - should be a cracker - he's also doing the Ritz in Manchester and London Royal Festival Hall! http://bandonthewall.org/events/3383/ http://ticketing.sou...us-miller-62456 So there you go.... Thanks for the update. I really could not remember how they ship!!
I have one of these and it's the most useful thing I own other than basses and amplification. Don't worry too much about the USB cable, it takes a standard mini USB. Power adapter was an extra, not standard issue.
I just grabbed this off the web for you below but in essence you can import mp3 files and do whatever you want to them to either play along or learn tricky passages. The multi fx in it are pretty good sounding as well. It is a really handy tool, I am only selling as I desperately need some cash! TASCAM's MP-BT1 is the first MP3 player designed for musicians. Based on the award-winning CD-BT1mkII, this fun mobile bass trainer includes enough memory to store up to 240 songs. Bass parts can be slowed down, looped and even eliminated to help you to learn new riffs. Play back MP3s using Variable Speed Audition, which slows down the speed without changing the pitch, and sections can be seamlessly looped while practicing tricky passages. Songs can even be pitched up or down to match the tuning of your bass, so you don't have to re- tune for every song. The bass input lets you to rock along with multi-effects, including a bass canceller so you can play along with your favorite bands. A tuner, metronome, and built-in rechargeable battery are also built- in. All of this is packed into an MP3 player smaller than a stomp box, so stuff it in your backpack, gig bag or back pocket and hit the road. The MP-BT1 uses a high-speed USB connection to load up MP3s and charge the built-in battery
What do these things do exactly? I know it's a bass trainer but how does it work? Cheers.
Had this for a while now but is in perfect condition, check the photos it still has the plastic cover on the screen! Comes with original box etc but I can't remember if it ships with power and USB cables, if so then I will dig around the house until I find them. Brand new these are £143 (best price I can see online) so would be happy to get £80 for this little beauty.

I have decided to shift on my Aggie Tone Hammer pre-amp pedal. I bought this brand new at the London Bass Show last year and it has been out of the house just once in that time! Condition is 10/10, no marks or scratches and come with all original packaging. These are retailing brand new at £185 so looking for £130 + P&P. I also have an 18v power supply which will run the pedal and will throw this in for an extra £5 if you want it.

Post your pedal board - Basschat style!!

Does anyone know what the Quartermaster from the Gigrig actually does? I keep getting updates about it on Facebook and as far as I can tell it just turns your pedals on and off! If you could set up presets of a number of pedals at a time then it would be great but you can't do that. Maybe I have missed something with it? -
Just fitted an East Musicman Stringray preamp!

Touch wood - this has never happened to me. Obviously when using the Rumour it is no problem as the LED light lets me know the state of the battery at a quick glance but of course with a Stingray or jazz there is no such luxury!!
Never had a battery go mid gig? It's a get out of jail free switch.
-

Yeah pretty tempted by this on the jazz. TBH I am not really sure that the switch is necessary as once you have the East sound why would you ever want to go back to passive?
As far as I know, there is no bypass switch on these. But you can ask for one to be added. My first MMSR has a push/pull volume pot that acts as a bypass switch. I was only charged a tiny bit extra to account for the different pot, about £10 or less I think. But regarding the modification... indeed, it's a straight drop in, so you can keep the original safely and reinstall it later if you wish.
-

Agreed - the mids is where it is at!! Not sure that I would see the point either in changing 2 band for 2 band but having said that I think that there is something in the East that just makes it sound so much more professional sounding. 3 band all the way though.
I think the difference is subtle, but it is a nice difference. To me it felt the JE was "tighter" on the lows, and the treble perhaps not as high, more useable. It *is* very similar. But the JE felt more "solid". I would not necessarily replace the original for a JE 2-band... but I would for a 3-band. That mids module is fantastic, which added to the 2-band just makes a really nice round package.
-

Well I would say that there is not much difference between the pre EB '77 Stingray and the East apart from the fact that it probably has a slightly more hi-fi or glossy sound if you know what I mean. But comparing the 2011 Classic pre-amp to the East they really are a mile apart, lots more bottom end and again just a really nice quality sound. I know it sounds a little odd but to me it did not really sound like a Stingray until I put the East pre-amp into it!
Good point , what's The difference between the East pre and standard music man ?
-

The only thing stopping me is that it is a 74 and it is nice to keep it as original as possible - sometimes that passive bass sound can be quite nice!
Don't think, feeeeeeeeel!. East pre's in a Jazz are incredible. I've put them in both of mine and wouldn't be without them.
-

Do you mean between the 2 and 3 band East or the East and the standard Musicman pre-amp?
I know this is a hard question to answer , but how would you describe the the tones and differences between the two ?
-

It's great isn't it? Sometimes you hear good things about gear and when you get it is not quite what you had hoped for but this is just as good as everyone said. Seriously thinking about putting one into my '74 jazz now!!
Preaching to the converted, as far as I am concerned I had the same reaction when I fitted one to my originally-2EQ in my avatar.
