I've just had the same from Interparcel last week - used them to send an effects pedal and they are saying that because it was a cardboard box wrapped in plastic bag and packing tape it was not the right packing material. I have challenged their charge and they are saying that the charge is from the courier and not them: "Plastic wrapping can occasionally cause issues with the automated sorting equipment at the depot, usually due to reflecting lights and lasers and thus rendering a parcel non-compatible for automated processing. When situations like this arise, the parcel is instead manually handled throughout the network and the carrier do unfortunately issue a charge for this." Did you pay their charge in the end or ignore it?

Up for sale is my beloved BP-1 preamp pedal. Quite simply stunning piece of kit and one of the very best studio grade preamps that you can have on your board or in the home studio. Ian King switched me on to these in his YouTube vids and I saw last week that Mark King now has one on his board for their current tour! In amazing condition with original box and also custom XLR cable if buying with the BC-1 compressor which I also have up for sale. More info here- www.caveman-audio.com

Suggestions for passive DI box
Gunsfreddy2003 replied to Gunsfreddy2003's topic in Accessories and Misc
Thanks for that - I had opted for one of these at lunchtime: https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Palmer-Pan-01-Passive-DI-Box/2PT7?_gl=1*hj71pq*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTE2NjExNjMyMS4xNzU4NjM2OTM0*_ga_0WF1R5QW3K*czE3NTg2MzY5MzQkbzEkZzEkdDE3NTg2MzY5ODckajckbDAkaDE3MjY3Mzg1NjE. -
Evening all, Looking for suggestions and recommendations for a good passive DI box for use with bass - I've looked at the Radial JDI but it seems quite pricey for a simple DI box. Happy to hear any other suggestions and alternatives please. TIA.

That’s sad to hear, I still believe that most people want and value a printed magazine don’t they?
-
I started a subscription at The Bass Show in Birmingham and have yet to receive a single copy either in print or digitally - I have messaged Dan Edwin a number of times and he says it will get sorted but still no magazines at all. I paid on credit card so will hopefully get a refund but it is truly shocking customer service, never seen anything so bad.

Atelier Z M265 for sale - *SOLD*

I bought this last year for a few shows that I needed it for. Now surplus to requirement and ready for a new owner! Amazing bass for the money, massive tone and lovely rolled edge neck too. The P5R has the newer pick ups in and sounds wonderful. I do still have the box that it shipped in but would prefer collection from Cheltenham. NO TRADES PLEASE!

I’ve decided to move on this wonderful jazz bass that I had built for me in 2017 via Danny at Bass Japan Direct. Top notch bass built to an amazingly high standard which is why they are used by the likes of Jerry Barnes of Chic and Francis Hylton from Incognito - I’d say comparable to Sadowsky and better than Fender! It comes with branded gig bag, all paperwork and the cleaning cloth. As you can see from the build card it is spec’d with 70’s pick up spacing, the EQ-M preamp and 70’s wound pick ups. The only mod that I have made is to add a tone control for when the bass is in passive mode as for some reason they don’t have one when they build the basses which I think is a little odd. So controls are now, neck pick up vol, bridge pick up vol, stacked bass and treble and then passive tone control and this gives you the option for so many great tones. 18mm string spacing and 9.8lbs in weight. The bass has been gigged a lot but is in great condition as I look after my gear. I’ve tried to catch the vibe of the bass with the pics and video NO TRADES PLEASE! IMG_2300.mov IMG_2301.mov

Decided to put this wonderful cab up for sale as it is simply not getting enough use. This is the 1200w, 4 Ohm version, super loud with a good natural clarity and massive bottom end. Also has the Vanerkley branded protective cover. Collection from near Cheltenham in Glos preferred but I do travel nationwide for gigs and could also ship if needed to.

Allen key size for Fender Precision (AM Pro2)

Thank you! -
Allen key size for Fender Precision (AM Pro2)
Gunsfreddy2003 replied to Gunsfreddy2003's topic in Repairs and Technical
Since posting I have found out that it is 1/16" which converts to rought 1.5mm but a 1.5mm key doesn't fit (not sure why) a builder friend had a set of imperial sized keys and yes 1/16" fits absolutely perfectly. Why they can't use a universal size for all bridges I don't understand! -

Hello, I have a number of basses and thought I had allen keys to fit all of the bridges and adjust string height but I can't seem to find on that fits an American Professional Fender Precision can anyone help with correct size and link to buy from please? Just bought a multi-one from Screwfix and none fit the Fender yet they fit other basses I have. Bloody annoying! -
No problem at all. I have to say I was blissfully ignorant about these basses otherwise I may well have tried to buy one of them. I was amazed what that jazz bass went to which had a 70’s neck badly put on to it and also the Stingray - madness!

I managed to find one of the Larkin basses as I must have been watching it. See image for hammer price.
-
They were not in great condition - one of the basses only had 1 string on it! Do you know what any of the lot numbers were for the Larkin stuff? As I bid on some items I can see what the final price was for them but need the relevant lot number to find out the sale price.
-
I was amazed what price some the things went for!

I expect so. It's always hard to tell from these things whether at the end he had bugger all left - you can also never tell what money he personally made from the Kate Bush stuff - if she had all the song writing credits then I suspect not much at all.
