1. There was nowt wrong with the OP in my view, thought it was a nostagicly funny reflection of what's out there and where some of us may have been once.
 2.
Great photobomb from the DB, there!
3. Coolest Fender style custom build I've seen in quite some time
 4. Been there myself a few times so get where you're coming from. These days though I simply keep the ones that I get real use of and let go of the ones that I own just because I like them for whatever reason. I find it healthier really and though I've let go of some killer basses I know that I have what I need, not want I want. For me that's simpler and financially better, but I love that other guys have a big collection either because they can or because that's what they like. Just depends what camp you're in, or forced into.
 5.
Personally I think there should be a one-day BC Amnesty, during which we all have the right to get back any bass we used to own.
That's a great idea, but at the rate we all swap basses there's gonna be some arguments That said, I'll have back the Ltd Ed CS 55 P Bass i sold you, loved that one
 6. Voted 4 due to my P Bass, but prefer practice on a 5. Will change my vote when I get the right Lull PJ5.
 7. And I thought Jessica Alba was a tease....
 8. Deposit now taken. "Sale of the f**king century" it was too
 9.
Has anyone looked at the guitars (sorry)? The Stingray is...well you decide http://blog.music-man.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/SRG-crop.jpg
Oh dear, MM what have you done
 10.
Indeed, I have a shiny new credit card and Mr Baxter currently has a five string Wal for sale......
That Wal looks great, good move
 11.
Stop it Dan
Umm.... http://www.moneysupermarket.com/loans/
 12. Looking good... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Maruszczyk-bass-guitar-Sputnik-5A-Hand-built-/262229801483?hash=item3d0e1d3a0b:g:snwAAOSwJkJWjxkL
 13.
No, Limelight Daytona Red 63 P in action! But I'd much rather have a lovely Fender 57 P in action!! How about an easy-payment scheme??
Nice, she looked very sweet Easy payment? Surely you can work out a direct transfer, it's a sinch, easy peasy. Shall I put it on hold for you?
 14.
Believe me, if I had £5800 knocking about it would have been in your hot hands quite some time ago. Very, very lovely bass - would be absolutely perfect for my latest project.
Cheers Mark. So you got a new project on the go? 76P back in action?
 15. Very nice indeed. Or, you could have a bargain 1957 P for £5800 o.n.o. ( see signature for a link to complete the shameless plug)
 16. Ugly, and yet another confusing name that's already been used. Miffed.
 17.
Whatever the situation with vintage prices at the moment, there will be a point in the not too distant future at which this instrument will sell for close to twice what Dan is asking for it. On that basis alone I'm tempted, seriously. I reckon even if I put it on the CC I'd still be quids in....... But apart from that, what a piece of history, and what a bass. If it were this time last year I'd have been buying it.
Right you are Chris and the lower the price goes the more nuts I feel. This will be one I won't enjoy looking back on, sellers regret...
 18. Folks, this is now below £6k which is insane. £5800 o.n.o A few of you may want to work out a timeshare deal?
 19. Still so stunned that this hasn't sold yet! Incredible value for money at this price and being a Lull it's super high quality, almost makes me want to buy it and convert back to Jazzes from P's! GLWTS Andy
 20. Love these, had two in the past and both were outstanding. Prefer them to the later ones that came a few months later, just wish they were as light as the later ones as I would have kept one if they were. Good luck bidders!
 21. Sure it looks cool and proper, but if you're stranded after a gig where will you sleep?

 23.
Dan - this bass will bug me till it's sold! How does it compare as a players instrument to that superbly refinished '57P you sold a while back?
Hard to say without them together Greg, but both are powerhouses of a bass, huge tone and incredible natural warmth. I've been playing this bass non stop, love using it for noodling or playing along to old school RnB, Soul, Creedence and Neil Young type tunes. It has also become my number 1 sittings on the couch bass because of the feel and the vibe. I can recall that the neck on this one is more V shaped compared to the other, so feels more old school and vintage. Would be a crime if this bass didn't get played lots by the next owner, it's natural tone is lovely.
 24.
Awesome looking bass Daniel. I'd grab it if I was after an early 50s P bass..
Cheers Seni, I know where to come when the next Jazz Bass shaped one comes along!
Dan, I suspect that if this was on eBay at a substantially higher price it would sell quickly? OK, it can be quite uncomfortable selling high value items via that route, but the risk can be pretty much mitigated through careful statement of T&Cs in the listing (and obviously if you provide a contact number people will try to deal direct). £6,000 for that bass? As Bacon would say "It's Sale of the f*****g Century"
It's on eBay pal, but no serious interest just yet. Could be a time of year thing, but could also be that at this value people are scared? Thing is, this bass has the all clear from Andy Baxter and a sales receipt for £8k from NKR, how often can you get that on a "sale of the f****ing century?!" This sure is a deal that won't come around again, that's for sure. I suspect it'll end up with a dealer soon, I'll get more cash back but could do without the hassle. Would rather sell it this way if I can. Hope you're enjoying the new studio Chris.
