Whats the hardest bassline you've ever played?
Thunderbird replied to rodneymullen's topic in General Discussion
After more thinking most things Steve Harris has written even the easy stuff is all about the "goove" and little things he puts in to his playing not only is he one of the best bass players ever he is one hell of a composer -
That sounds encouraging Paul, hopefully it will all be resolved soon.
Thanks Gary I hope so too then I can de-stress lol

Well a bit of an update Reidys MD rang me up this morning which I really appreciated as the guy was actually on holiday we had a very good chat on the phone and he was also unhappy with the service which I had received and has promised me that he will do everything he can to put things right which I think he will as he seemed genuinely upsest about what had happened and he actually seemed like a nice chap I have also spoken with John at Reidys who is the shop manager and again he really seemed like a nice bloke and is helping me out he did not know about the issue in the first place and was unhappy about it also. So all is looking good now and I feel much happier having it sorted out and speaking to a couple of nice guys who did not give me any BS or pass the buck so a big thumbs up to Paul and John from Reidys hopefully all is sorted now
With that sort of service you're entitled to feel angry - nothing wrong with a bit of "naming and shaming" when you receive poor service.
Thanks I am bloody livid right now

Ok so I am having a bit of a rant here this all started way back in April I ordered a Yamaha BB424x from Reidys online and as bad luck would have it the bass arrived to me broken so I spoke to Richard at Reidys who seems like a good chap by the way and he said he would get me a replacement part for the bass as all it was was a pickup ring so I waited for a month and got the wrong part sent to me so back on the phone to Reidys who took the bass back but a week after collection of the bass I heard nothing so emailed them and heard nothing after a couple of days and spoke to some one about it and they said sorry not got a Yamaha so asked if I would like something else and if I did they would sort me out a deal so I had a look and chose a Traben, all is good at this point so fast forward a couple of days and some lass from Reidys phones me up and says I have to pay for the other bass in full so I explained the agreement about a deal being made but I got nowhere so paid the full amount as was to pissed of to argue by now was not cos I had to pay but was because some one had lied to me about sorting me out a deal:) So my new Traben should of been with me on Tuesday but it came today (Wednesday) so unpacked it feeling quite excited but that did not last long as the bass looked like it had already been heavily gigged the fretboard had all black marks on it and there were file marks on every bit of neck wood near the frets and lots of really light scratches on the back of the bass I really think it was one that another customer had returned as it was not in the original box there was not tools or manual with it and it already had strap locks fitted it was a right bloody state so phoned Reidys back they do not have another one so Have asked for my money back (a small amount is on finance as it suits me) seemed a bit sh*tty with me on the phone but there was no way I was going to accept that bass in that condition so 2 ruined New bass days. I really was not bothered that the 1st bass came damaged as that can happen but I am so cross about all the BS and then to send me what looked like a second hand bass with that kind of damage was unacceptable so wont deal with Reidys again.

Up for sale I have my souped up Jack and Danny jazz bass in seafoam green with black blocks and binding nut width 38mm it is about 3 months old and has only had light home use so is immaculate The bass has had the following upgrades Entwistle Neo pickups bridge and neck a new wiring loom Vol/Vol/tone with an .47 green meanie tone cap. The bass has also had all of the hardware changed to decent quality black stuff as the original hardware was OK but not fantastic so now it has a black BBOT bridge black machine heads and black Schaller style strap locks and has a nice black scratch plate the bass is also fully shielded with the correct type of copper tape. The bass has just been fully set up action is nice and it has a new set of Marshall 45-105 strings on it. I always forget some thing so any questions please ask. £160 delivered via tracked courier please Pics Up later when I get a camera No trades on this one as I need cash I just need to add I have had a bit of a problem with packing boxes so will need to get a lift to Halfords to pick some up (I dont drive) so this may delay delivery by a couple of days or you can pick it up and have the post cost knocked off but just wanted to be honest about the possible delay in advance

Hi all after much thought I have decided to sell my B bass it is in really great condition and this is the top of the line model with the Stienberger bridge and drop tuner and active/passive electrics which all work as they should the 2 volume knobs have been replaced with Alpha pots as the original ones were very crackly. The bass has just been set up and has a new set of Marshall 45-105 strings on the only thing worth noting is the bass has 2 or 3 tiny little dinks on the body but they really are not to bad at all and are to be expected on a near 30 year old bass. Everything on this bass works as it should truss rod is in full working order and turns as it should in both directions Any questions please ask pics will be up later I just need to go and borrow a camera No trades on this one as I need cash £235 posted via tracked courier I just need to add I have had a bit of a problem with packing boxes so will need to get a lift to Halfords to pick some up (I dont drive) so this may delay delivery by a couple of days or you can pick it up and have the post cost knocked off but just wanted to be honest about the possible delay in advance
