It was on radio 1 all the time. Is there actually anything offensive about the lyrics? I don't remember it being homophobic

I think it was the line I got something to put in you at the gaybar gaybar

    That caused offence

a while back I mentioned on a forum on Facebook about the WW2 air war relating to the Dambusters. I mentioned Guy Gibson’s dog in a historical sense. I got a weeks ban. I didn’t mean that word in a racist term so what’s the difference?

Your never going to win I'm afraid mate as people sadly twist what you say to suit themselves

Viz the N word, the way NWA and others use it's n***a not n***er, which is the racist term.

I still occasionally dig out my Macc Lads CDs if I need a bit of a laff. I'm not offended by any of their songs.

But isn't it really the same word just spelt differently cos it sounds like the same word when it's said

I don't find it offensive but feel it's all a bit novelty. I remember being played the Macc Lads back in the 80s, laughing for about a week and then never listening to them again. Same with Steel Panther - a friend came over to jam and was all excited to play me them. We laughed and then they kept making albums. I kinda felt the joke was done. Interestingly a lot of these bands actually have decent musicians in them but it's all a bit of a fad for me. Good luck to them all though.

Russell Parish aka Satchel from Steel Panther is a phenomenal guitarist and played on all Rob Halfords solo albums from the late 90s/2000s

Just looked up the PSA, and it would appear to be a standard 9v / 500mA.

So any multi pedal PSU should do.

Voodoo labs 4x4 just sold mine but that would be ideal for your set up and it will power the boss 500ma is quite a big draw but the voodoo should do it it powered my Fender downtown just fine think that was 500ma

What about offensive actual band names?

I saw a flyer in London circa 10 years ago and one band was called

    Operation Cnut Destroyer

(u and n in their traditional places)

And some band called Prostitution Disfigurement.

Yes I heard them on radio 2 back in the day lol

I thought Steve Albini was a right pillock for calling one of his bands Rapeman (after a Japanese 'superhero' comic apparently)

I wouldn't buy or otherwise endorse a band with that name.

I agree a super hero rapist thats just beyond the realms of thinking normally think you need to be very disturbed to think about that and in a comic?

None of them bother me. One of my old faves are Ax Cx (can't use either word of their name), who set out to be the worst band ever and until Coldplay came about, Ax Cx were winning.

Although I do think K$$t are just a bit naff.

    Forgot about them

Slightly off topic I was watching a mini documentary thing on youtube about the cradle of filth J is a C$$t T shirt the backlash was huge think it offended millions of people and most of them had never heard of the band lol

Yer I saw that. Absolutely terrifying.

I mean what are they thinking?

Guys wheres your Radio 1 airplay?

(for those who have a hard time identifying attempts at humour. This may contain a Gag)

    Me Me Me lol

I find Steel Panther mildly amusing.

Although I'm guessing some probably can't see the obvious joke.

Aren't there loads of shockingly horrid white power type bands out there?

Im thinking more shocking and rude than racist maybe 20 years ago that would fly but not now

  11. Sold James a multi effects pedal and he was great to deal with instant payment polite communication and he let me know the pedal was safely with him something that is always appreciated 10/10 a right good fella :)
