1. Hey All Selling this lovely and rather special low pass filter - it's seriously juicy - see Zach Rizer put it through its paces below I bought mine here about a year ago but don't use it anymore - it's in good condition with velcro still attached underneath - runs off a 9v power supply and works like a dream with an expression pedal - it's super expressive and has a lovely fat tone - so synth sounds are very easy to achieve with OC2 and fuzz/bitcrusher - Zach gives a great overview of what this great little pedal can do in conjunction with other pedals too... I can post no problem but if you live in London then I'm Brixton based so happy for collection too Thanks for checking Mike

3. Thanks dude - nice to know there’s another Live user around here too - yay! 🙏🏻👍🏻
4. Looks alright https://www.businessdesigncentre.co.uk/ Better than the Excel Centre anyway
5. Hey peeps Hope you're all good and that - I've been adding a few new videos to my Youtube channel - I like Instagram but the quality is crap... anyway nothing massively new but still loving using Live as my main DAW - bringing in some sounds from my analogue pedalboard too - just thought I'd share if any of you fancied checking them out - got a new camera too so nicer picture quality as well Hope you enjoy - see you around soon x
6. Hey Guys and Gals I took the plunge on one of these bad boys just before Christmas and while I'm mightily impressed with the mind-blowing possibilities within, I think it's possibly a step too far for my needs. Essentially the unit is in mint condition, has all original packaging - all cables etc - and has a few virtual pedal boards already installed within - it's a genius and compact package Photos below - but it's all in perfect condition and has only had home use. I'll consider near offers - PM me if you're interested - and I can split postage costs if reasonable (Londoners feel free to collect in person) Thanks Will put this on EvilBay soon but happy to consider offers around £350 o.n.o. BLURB from MOD The Mod Devices Duo is an all-encompassing pedal that takes multi-effects to the next level. Despite its no-frills aesthetics, this unit is immensely powerful under the hood; practically unparalleled when it comes to versatility. With 165 factory-loaded amp and effect plugins, stereo ins/outs, MIDI and USB connectivity, configurable I/O gain and more, this highly flexible unit can serve as the centrepiece of your entire setup. Editor Software Via its dedicated editor software, you can intuitively create your very own pedalboard chains and sonic setups. By dragging and dropping stompboxes and other units into a virtual signal path, you can easily experiment with your sounds on-the-fly, with the ability to re-arrange their order via just a few clicks. These digitally-crafted creations can then be saved and stored within the Mod Duo by connecting to its USB port. This means that you can take this portable pedal anywhere, giving you your sound at any location! You also have the ability to access over 500 additional free and paid plug-ins in the MOD Devices plug-in shop, giving you a plethora of additional sounds and possibilities. Modern Features Apart from its mightily intuitive software interface, the unit itself has a number of thoughtful appointments to enhance its already ergonomic design. One such feature is the headphone output, which lets you silently practice at home or in hotel rooms if you're always on the road. Although the effects and amp simulations from the Mod Duo are digitally-created, with the unit itself also digitally-controlled, the pedal has traditional multi-level analogue pre-amplification. This gives you a genuine tonality and feel, letting the internal emulations sing like their real-life counterparts. Routing Possibilities Boasting stereo inputs and outputs, you can take full advantage of the high-quality ambient effects (delay, reverb, modulation), letting you attain a full and engulfing sound. However, with its dedicated software, you can also setup different effect chains for each of the audio inputs, giving you completely different sounds out of left/right channels. The Mod Duo is also MIDI-enabled, letting you change patches on the stompbox with an external MIDI controller, such as a pedal switcher. If you want to unlock the full potential of the MOD Duo in a live performance scenario, its MIDI connectivity enhances its overall flexibility. A built-in Cirrus Logic Low Noise AD / DA converter ensures high-fidelity audio quality, getting the best out of the Mod Duo's virtual sounds. Also featuring true bypass, with the unit disengaged you won't hear any audible loss in your signal. What's also worthy of note is the Mod Duo's flexibility when it comes to integrating the unit into your setup, working well with other devices. I can be used at any stage of your chain, straight into the front end of an amp and in conjunction with other pedals, or it can be placed in the effects loop of your amp for seamless operation of time-based and modulation sounds. Specifications Audio Completely independent audio I/O Configurable I/O gain: use it with any instrument Outputs usable in balanced and unbalanced mode: connect to any device Headphone out with dedicated volume control and direct monitoring option High-fidelity audio path Relay-based True-Bypass Digital Full MIDI support - both legacy DIN and USB USB-host port for connecting peripherals and Bluetooth Expanded connectivity using a USB hub USB-device port for computer connection Control Chain port for MOD peripherals What's in the Box Compact footprint device: 180 x 74.7 x 160 (W x H x D, millimeters) / 1.2 kg Power supply that works in every country (100V ~ 240V @ 50 ~ 60 Hz) USB connection cable Quick Start Guide
7. Hi All Got this a couple of months ago - it's great and sounds amazing - I just don't need it... I've done one gig with it but it's mint and has all packaging, booklets. box and USB cable and manuals.... I'm south London based so happy for to arrange collection but can post - happy to split the cost of the postage if that helps (within the UK!) Here's the blurb.... PM if you're interested... 8. hey Steve - that's exactly what I do in Live - I send the main bass channel into the looper (which I can have multiple loops running in the single channel if I like) and then have effects on both the main bass channel and the looper - with both audio channels runnig simultaneously - Live is of course its own mixing desk and has silly mounts of routing options - which is why I send my main bass channel direct to my amp and not the master channel of Live - so I get a nice fat bass sound from my amp and then all the extra stuff from the Master output from Live. I 100% agree with your comments on the whole looping something fresh vs having some preprepared stuff as well - I love improv and agree it depends on what you want to achieve and who your audience is... Mxx

11. Oi oi! Just thought I'd actually post something! Especially as this is my thing... In a nutshell Live is the best solution for me - not least because it's rock solid on a gig - I've used it countless times now and it's never let me down. OK so hers's my basic formual. You'll need - 1 + decent Soundcard to plug your bass into (I use the Clarett 4Pre now, I was using a different one in the video below); midi foot controller - I use the KMI Softstep 2 (this allows you to do hands-free Record/overdub/stop/start looping with the built in Loop in Live) - and finally a midi-controller such as a Launchpad or Akai-type grid controller. You can run the sound directly into your amp, or split the output to your amp and the PA - that way you can have just the bass coming out of your amp in the usual way - but then have a lovely big stereo sound for all the other loops and effects. In terms of creating the actual loops there are several ways of doing this - do it complerely from scratch with each instrument on their own channel in Live, use the Launchpad to start recording on a single slot on a single channel and loop it when you want; or you can send the audio from each channel just to the Looper, or set up multiple loopers - either on the same channel or separate channels... the only limit to this is your technical knowledge and your imagination - Live is so flexible you can set it up in loads of different ways. Just a bit of info on this clip - which is from a gig I did with Loop Lord Steve Lawson (whose set up is completely different and uses a Looperlative) - I was just using one Looper channel, some pre-recorded clips or varying lengths - but also using some effects on the Looper channel which meant both the Loop and the signal from the bass where being mashed-up together - while also keeping a separate channel for the bass (I am sending the bass channel to the Looper as well, so it can be recorded and looped). Live also has some fantastic delays and reverbs, and I use it for my FX rack on a lot of gigs - all the effects on the video are generated in Live. If you wait for the looped chords (at 2.52) to come in they are actually being played backwards - which is one of the cool features of the Looper in Live: you can reverse, speed up and slow down your loops - which is brilliant for creating really unique lines and parts that you can't physically play - so it's a fun tool for composing too... If you're based near South London I'd be happy to give you (or anyone else) a lesson or two on this - so just PM me on that - otherwise I hope this helps Mx
12. Hey BC Brothers and Sisters It truly has been an age since I posted anything on this site - life is good and busy with me - hope all's good with you lot too I just wanted to share a new tune from a new project that I'm working on with a fantastic singer called Aisling Iris - the band is called Alchemical and features myself on bass/keys/synths, Aisling and some great guest players. We've written an album's worth of stuff and are in the process of mixing an EP for release later this year - and we just out out a single digitally across all the usual platforms. The nice thing is 51m0n (longtime BCer), is on mixing duties and is doing a great job. I'm playing both my Sei basses and quite a bit of fretless on these tunes (just fretless on this one below) - one track has a 40-piece, real, string arrangement... You can stream or buy the single, 'Long Way Down', here: https://alchemical.bandcamp.com/ I tend to post a few things on my Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/mikeflynnbass/ Kind of given up on Youtube... Hope you enjoy and I'll post more music once it's out in the world... Cheers all Mike
13. Sold Pending the usual... cheers!
14. Hey Guys Long time no post here - I'm good (see some of you on FB regularly - anyway I'm selling my two TC Electronic cabs as I love how they sound but really want a change - these are great cabs, the 210 has been gigged more than the 210 - which has had mainly home use and is in better condition, but aside from a few cosmetic nicks and chips (mainly on the under-side of the 112) they are in good condition, and of course can be stacked for a very big sound! They are a tiny bit heavier than some other cabs out there but their stackable design is brilliant - they deliver a really focused modern sound for sure. The RS112 is such a great versatile, sturdy and powerful cab - love it for home use and small gigs, it's great too when paired with the 210... I would like £500 for both but will consider splitting them - I only have the original boxes but not the polystyrene blocks - so I'd really prefer collection from my place in Brixton if possible. Both have official fitted TC Electronics covers Technical blurb on the cabs: The TC Electronic RS210 bass cab combines superior tone with innovative features and excellent stacking capabilities. The team at TC worked with US specialists Eminence to produce custom drivers for the RS210 where the dual-concentric placement of the HF driver inside the top woofer ensures optimal dispersion and audio performance. The RS210 is highly durable, sporting a rugged design and an anti-scratch finish. Alongside this, the 'anti-skid' sufrace allows cabinest to stick together easier when stacked, freeing up space on stage. TC Electronic RS112 The custom-made, 12" Eminence driver is dual conentric. What it means is that, even though you can't see it, there is a 1" tweeter built in at the center, adding those crispy highs. the result? Fast response and tight punch! We have worked closely with specialist US company Eminence to produce specific custom drivers for our RS cabs. As well as being easy to carry, RS112 maintains the RS range's 'stackability' concept. All the cabinets in the range may be stacked together in various combinations. The RS112, for example, fits perfectly under an RS210, making it an ideal combination for small to mid-sized gigs. RS112 features two high quality Speakon connectors as well as a heavy duty HF attenuator on the rear side. 17. Little bump for this beauty - it's at the Gallery for those that want to try her out
18.
Never thought I would see this Sei for sale. It's the Sei I associate you with Mike.
Believe me I really don't want to let this go - it's a wonderful bass - if I could keep it and get the six I want I would - sadly I can't - I really want it to find a good home
19. SOLD! I wanted to spread the word on my Sei Jazz as I'm selling it to fund a new 6 string from Martin - I hate to let this bass go, but as I mainly play 5 string it just wasn't getting enough love! It's such a beautiful and all round great bass and it's still in fantastic mint condition - I rarely gigged it and mainly used it at home or for recording - I know many of you will have seen and heard this bass already but for those that haven't there are a few videos below. The bass is currently on sale at the Gallery in Camden so easy for any of you to pop in and try - it's been getting a lot of interest but it's still there - for now! The price is very much up for negotiation but the full cost of this bass new was £3,500 hence I'm starting high but open to sensible (respectful) offers - I can sell direct to you but I'd rather payment went through the Gallery if possible - plus you can buy it from there during normal opening hours. http://thebassgaller...-bass-5468.html Gorgeous Sei Jazz bass with Ash body, AAA spalted Maple top-wood facing (on headstock too), one-piece super-fast maple neck, birdseye maple finger-board, 24-frets, red LEDs on fret-dots on topside of finger board, hip-shot D-Tuner, lightweight tuning pegs, Glockenklang 3-band EQ, Nordstrand NJ4 pickups with soapbar housings, and a bubinga ramp.

20. Good work folks - sorry I didn't make it this year - maybe next eh?
21.
That's pretty damn cool! I've used my laptop as an effect processor since 2007 or so, but haven't gone about using Live for this kind of stuff yet. Kudos on that! I see you're using the Sonuus I2M. How does it work in terms of latency (for audio)? I assume it can't be used as an output device too, can it? Should you ever take the time to do a screencast to expose the inner workings of the whole thing, that would make me a very happy boy.
That's exactly what I'm thinking of doing I just need to get the screen casting sorted first but I would like to share some of the stuff for this set up. Latency on my i2M is virtually non-existent I don't know what other people have been doing but I've always found that it works great obviously it's mono phonic but apart from that it tracks very well up to a certain speed I don't use it all the time and it can be a tricky bugger to make it work especially when it keeps going off but on the videos above with the drummer I used it for an entire two hour gig and it didn't screw up. Thanks for watching cheers Mike
22. I know it's been ages since I posted anything here - as ever I've been doing loads of stuff - thankfully playing quite a lot of gigs - some using Ableton Live as my effects unit and also experimenting with various permutations of it as a live rig with Looper and other effects processes running - I'm nowhere near done but just trying stuff - so here are a few recent videos to show where I'm at - more stuff coming for sure... hope you enjoy some of these - cheers for watching M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25VQSG7IPlc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbQqz1incZI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_T_LuZ3L9x0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGN1mpwLpTs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfUJguJOZUk
23. Dudes - so sorry to be late to this party - sorry I didn't get your original message - perhaps it went to my 'music' page on Facebook and not my personal one... yes Matt's recent gig at the Vortex got me inspired big time as well - but in other ways - which I'll post here and in the recordings forum soon. The quick answer to your output question is I've sometimes run a jack straight out of the headphone socket on my Babyface or Audient soundcard, not ideal as the signal is very hot so you need to watch the volume levels - but it does work fine. You can also use one of the speaker outputs on your souncard and plug it straight into your amp, it all depends on how many outputs you have on the soundcard - Ableton has a load of routing options and you can select output 3 or 4 for example and then send the signal from your bass to one of those - assuming outputs one and two are going to the main speakers of your set up. I like to run the main speakers (monitors) to get the full stereo sound of the 'system' and then take a third output, either from an extra line out or the headphone jack and run that into my amp - so you get a much fuller bass-heavy mix running... I've successfully used Ableton as my bass FX rig on quite a few gigs now - and am beginning to get to grips with the looper and some more fancy signal processing by using my iPod touch as a controller - here's a recent video with some looping going on with all effects (reverb and pitch shifter) triggered via softstep and running through Ableton http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25VQSG7IPlc PM me if you have any more questions - I'm hoping to do a couple of videos on how my set up works soon Cheers Mike
24. Hey Bought a DL4 from Hector quite recently and the unit itself was in perfect working order and he sold it for a great price - thumbs up dude!
