1. I was surprised not to see Orange at the show. Was sure i saw them on the list of exhibitors/retailers in the run up to the show.

Skeg Fest

Anyone ever played at this before? It looks to be an annual Mini Cooper enthusiasts 2 day festival in July in aid of Macmillan cancer in Skegness. We're booked to play on the saturday afternoon and i was wondering if anyone has played it before and what it was like/what to expect!
3. We generally get between £200 - £250 per gig for a 2 & 1/2 hour 32 song set which has to be split between 6 of us! So im definately in it for the love of playing rather than the money! Our worst paying venue is in lincoln which only pays £200 and we have to play till 2 in the morning and not even a free coke!
4. I am thinking of selling my les paul 60's tribute as im after a new bass and so need to have a bit of a clear out. Its finished in satin honeyburst (which has now been discontinued). Its a lovely looking and sounding guitar that has barely been used since i got it 15 months ago. It also comes with a hiscox hard case. Im looking for £550 for it and im based in NW Kent. If anyone is interested let me know and ill upload a picture.

6. Any interest in this? Its the best sounding guitar distortion ive ever used, sounds really good on the bass too!
7.
It's been like that for the previous two shows .
individually, the slap bass didnt sound too bad (altough not really my thing) but the sound of 20 people slapping at the same was not good!!! i'll be hearing it in my sleep tonight! great show otherwise, got 2nd row seat to Dave Ellefson and a Corona Chorus with £10 off
8. I've never heard so much slap bass in one place as at the show today
9. Blackstar HT Metal pedal for sale. Its about 10 months old and I've had it from new, I used it mainly for guitar playing but it doesn't get much use any more. It has two really high gain channels on it which sound great and give a lot of flexible tones. I am looking for £150 for it. It can be collected from NW Kent, or I could post it. I'd imagine it would cost £10-£15 to post as its quite heavy. Any questions, feel free to ask.
10. Hi I'm selling my Mexican Precision Bass. I've had it from new since 2003 and it was manufactured in 2003 according to serial number and Fender website. The underneath of the scratch plate is stamped 6th May 2003. It has a rosewood neck and a blue/green finish to the body (I think its blue agave but its been so long since I bought it that I can't 100% remember). I've upgraded it with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder Pickup and a diamond cut metal scratch plate which I think is pretty cool. It has also had a new nut fitted since I've had it. Its got a couple of very small dings in it, but otherwise in good condition and plays really nicely. I'm based in NW Kent and am looking for [s]£320[/s] [s]£280[/s] now £250 for it. I'd prefer that someone collected it and if they did I'll throw in a free (but well worn) hard case. Please feel free to ask any questions. Edit: I have now found the original white scratch plate and stock pickups and am happy to throw these in free of charge! I will get some new pictures taken with the white scratch plate on as I realise that diamond cut metal is not to everyone's taste!!!!! Edit again: New pics now uploaded showing the original scratch plate, as well as the small ding on the top of the bass. It does look a bit more respectable in white! Sorry about the pic's being upside down, back to front etc. I can't seem to work out how to upload them the right way round on picture 3 below, the ding is on the left. the white mark on the right is just a reflction.
11. EQ is pretty much all at 12 o clock. Cab is 600w 2x12 and it used to be really loud. However for the last few gigs I have been having to set the volume higher and higher to achieve the same level of output. Gigs have been at different venues, but pretty similar size, layout, number of people etc.
12. thanks for the reponse, I have a couple of spare valves that I bought from Orange, so Ill give them a try. Otherwise its another trip back to Andertons before the warranty runs out!
13. I have an orange terror bass 500 with an orange sp212 cab. For the last few gigs ive been having to set the volume higher and higher to get enough output to keep up with the rest of the band. For the last gig volume was on 12 o clock and gain on 10 o clock for a small pub. Anyone else had this problem? Its only 9 months old and has already been back to orange once with a similar problem. The cab was replaced that time but im begining to suspect its the amp Thanks!
