  1. Yes agree the red is nicest . I think they would have been better to have matching headstocks across the range
  2. I saw this on the FB page. I don’t like the green on the headstocks as much
  3. Another one for sale, this one’s in Belgium https://reverb.com/uk/item/68014810-dingwall-john-taylor-2023-custom
  4. That’s a cool looking bass
  5. I think it’s a combination of the exchange rate and them adding some to the price. They don’t seem to be listed as an official dealer on the Dingwall website. the one listed on Reverb earlier in the week was from an official dealer in Netherlands, and that was working out around £2,800. The Reverb price said £2,440 but I don’t think it was fully accounting for exchange rate and VAT. I was hesitant in buying something of this value from outside of the UK. If there was ever an issue I could imagine it being a right pain to send it back.
  6. Another European dealer has one for sale https://reverb.com/uk/item/68218707-dingwall-jt3-john-taylor-ltd-2023-rio-dream-pre-order quite a difference in price compared to the UK sale price. am holding out for a UK based one appearing for sale
  7. What’s the band called, looks a great set up
  8. Hopefully this will last longer than the Little Bass Thing did. Great first impressions. Will post more when have had chance to use it more
  9. They’ve all gone now
  10. Can I ask how much deposit you had to put down, and what the total was, when final payment was due? Thanks
  11. Dingwall posted a brief video of it from Namm, it looks amazing
  12. I didn’t see myself, but someone in the Instagram comments said they were $2,700
  13. It’s a shame there wasn’t more notice that these were going live for sale. Dingwalls latest Instagram post says the run is sold out, but a lot went to dealers. I wonder if any uk dealers got some?
  14. Looking forward to seeing more detail about this
  15. It was brilliant! it was our first gig as a band, and went really well. The pub was very busy and all the songs were very well received. the hire amp I used was fine as well, and i might hire it again for our next gig. I posted a few pictures in the how was your gig last night thread.
  16. We had our first gig as a new band (The 77’s) last night at The Oak Tavern in Sevenoaks. it went really well, the place was packed and the crowd seemed to really enjoy it. We had a few errors here and there but nothing terrible. couldn’t have asked for anything more from a first gig. I had to hire a head for the night as my recent purchase was faulty, but the hire amp did the job.
  17. Well after initially being pleased with the LBT it is going back to the shop as faulty I used it at rehearsal last night but the sound kept cutting in and out all the time. I initially thought it was due to guitarists new wireless system conflicting with mine but it wasn’t. disappointing, but I am glad I found out before our gig tomorrow night! luckily I’ve been able to hire an amp at short notice
  18. Good first impressions, but haven’t had much time on it yet. very clean sounding compared to my old Terror Bass. As others have mentioned, it goes from quiet to loud very quickly, but can manage this through the compressor. taking it to rehearsal this week, and then gigging with it in Friday so will post more after that.
  19. Thanks all for the suggestions. have ordered a little bass thing. looking forward to it arriving
  20. Thanks. weight not really an issue, I had a terror bass head before and that was ok, plus it will be transported in the car anyway
  21. Thanks. I used to have the all black aerodyne jazz bass and loved that, so have been looking into these new ones.
  22. What are those aerodyne basses like?
  23. Hi all I am looking for opinions/advice on which bass head to purchase. I have just sold my Orange Terror Bass mk1 which I had been using for 12 years as I had got a bit bored with it. For context, new amp will be used for a pub rock covers band with a Fender Jazz Bass special and Orange SP212 cab (for now, I might get a new cab depending on what head I end up getting). I don’t use any other effects at the minute, but am also considering getting a Helix Stomp for distortion, compression and chorus, again this depends on what amp I get. I have been looking at the following options and would be grateful for any opinions good or bad: 1. Darkglass Alpha/Omega 500. This looks and sounds great from the videos I have seen, but I have read several reviews that they are unreliable and stop working a lot. 2. Blackstar unity 700. Also sounds good from the few review videos out there. Doesn’t seem that popular though and I can’t find many real users videos. They all seem to be from endorsees or employees. 3. Orange Terror Bass mk2. My old terror bass did the job well enough. Thanks for reading and for any advice.
  24. Metallica are playing 2 different sets on 2 different nights of the festival. It is rumoured to be the fastest ever selling Download and may sell out. Might be worth thinking about buying the weekend arena only ticket to make sure you get one, and to see Metallica twice
