9.
Hi Al', well I have to say that the TC is - for what it is - one of the more intuitive processors I have used. Please don't think my view is of a belittling one - What I mean to say is - I wonder if you are going to find a unit of that kind of processing quality that is easier to program? If you want to use amplifier and cabinet sims then maybe pick up a line 6 XT or X3 (or floor 'Live' models) - but I would say that they have even more programmeable options than the TC and thus would probably put you off? Next up - The Boss GT6 / 8 / 10 models - but again - I think *they* are the same for setting up and requuire getting the manual out to understand the menu system. Then there is the Zoom type pedals with basic functionality, lower spec - though I think they are a good place to start. Finally - how about individual pedals? Do you only use a few sounds/ effects, for example?
sorry, kinda lost this thread for a while...oooops... i get what you mean dood....i tried a couple of individual boss pedals the last few gigs i've done, great for easy use..but didn't realy sound a patch on the tc gear....think i'll dust the manual off again..and this time not give up till i suss it....
 10. had the tc unit since i got my ebs rig...it's done a good job,but i find it a real minefeild to try to programme anything useable into it and the foot controll is a pain in the botty too!!....the original patches are a pretty much guitar orientated so i'm looking for something either rack or floor mounted to replace it with...something with a tuner that works on the e string would be great too, lol. any ideas?experiences?
 11.
It would seem Bernie has dropped a note to Basschat users on his website. http://www.gbguitars.co.uk
nice little touch there again from mr goodfellow..... as for the bass not cutting through the mix,did you ask bernie to swap the humbuckers for single coils?....the spitfire i heard with singles in it was quite a different beast to mine with humbuckers....could still get the glassy highs and earth moving lows though!! love the new egg blue colour too, still not sure bout the new plate????sure it'll grow on me. all the best with your new un....year 10 for mine,no plans to ever part with it.
 12.
Still going
major boiler surgery has ruled me out of this one..all the best with the sale fella!

 14.
Hi everyone It is great being a member of this site and also being the owner of one of the best bass in the world well i think so gb guitars are brilliant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! made by a man who's passion for perfection is 2nd to nun a man who does not matter what sort of player you are will treat you with up most respect and pleasently surprise you with ideas gained from his massive knoledge of the instrument he has listened to players and took on board what they have had to say the outcome is a instrument which is leaps and bounds in front of the industry Thankyou Bernie for wanting me to pick up my GB everyday Gary
+1 ahmen brotha!!!!!
 15.
Sounds like the marble one. Did you see the crackle finish? With the right bass, that would be well smart.
yup.could well be the marble one...yeah,bernie showed me all he had,i just realy liked this one.
 16.
That's Germany for you... and for the price (not ridiculous), they certainly put Levy's in their place. Which one did you get? I dig the black soft nappa - so smoooooth and luxurious - and with just the right amount of padding. The marble and crackle finishes are top too!
i was pleasantly suprised by the price.i got a realy soft dark kinda antique looking one.agreed the padding is subtle but just right.my spitfire seems weightless now!...it lives in the case with the bass, love the smell of leather when i open the case... just gotta get the matching gig bag now..lol....
 17. i got one of the harvest straps from bernie(gb guitars) at bassday this year...bloomin well chuffed with it....never imagined a strap could make such a difference and the craftsmanship on it is superb...my shaller straplocks have done the job for the last 10 years no worries.
 18.
got me thinking about that. Does anyone remember the old Croydon workshop ? there always seemed to be someone in the next unit mixing down house / techno / whateveryouwannacallit next door. Reading posts from other members has reminded me - there's nothing like the feeling of waiting for your new Goodfellow. The expectant Father feeling comes to mind. Ah well ......
i picked my bass up from the croydon workshop, had an overnight drive down from the north west, stayed at some god forsaken guest house and met up with bernie early doors.....realy glad i did it though.. 10 years on i still love the guitar..

Cheers!
thank...just a bit far away from me to give it a try out...all the best with it though.
