2. Hey guys I'm in at the very beginning of modding my OLP bass i want to change the pots to start with, does anyone know which ones are best i know they 500k ones but don't know which company make is best maybe someones had some good results ? any help appreciated
3.
You say the volume is up. Do you mean the volume knob or the volume or 'output' control on the pre amp (if there is one? I didnt even know about the one on my Hohner till yesterday)
the volume knob is up, my tuner wont recognise it which i think is strange thanks for the ideas guys will give em a try
4. hey guys i just bought an OLP mm2 a guy from another band had one with the same amp i have ( line 6 300w lowdown) it sounded awesome so i bought one , i put it through my amp and even at half way up in volume i am hardly getting any sound out , i switched back to my ibanez an it was loud but their doesnn't seem to be any loose wires with i took the chrome control unit off ( 1 volume an 2 tone ) so i have no idea what could be wrong ( and yes the volume control is up ) any thing i'm missing has anyone had the same problems any ideas would be greatly appreciated thx
5. an as far as money goes well to be honest the least i can spend with out compromising the sound
6. excellent advice guys thanks ... to be honest i wanted c what everyone thought before i went out and purchased something that i might need to change soon down the line .. my fender rumble is ok for pub gigs but we play a club in crawley every 3rd sunday ( just started it) and other than going through the p.a which is not really meant for instruments i wanna stack that can be heard and i was after a few ideas .. thanks again will keep an eye out
7. thanks i'm from Crawley , west sussex
8. hey guys i'm currently running a fender rumble 100 watt .. this is ok for small gigs but i was wondering what was the best equipment for money but without compromising sound i know you get what you pay for usually but not having a great deal of money for equipment due to stupid things like a morgage and bills that seem to zap my wages i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of: a) can you put another cab speaker with the fender to increase the volume so maybe i can take the speaker to bigger gigs ? if not whats the best equipment thats maybe not so well known that sounds good? any input is good cheers
9. hey guys i'm new here my names mark ... i'm still kinda new to bass i started in May although i did play guitar in school (i'm 27 now ) so i know my way around the frets ... i started off with a peavey milestone bass in blue with a rosewood fretboard .. also i have a westfield bass in red with a maple neck which i picked up cheap mainly cos i do like the maple neck .. i sold my peavey and now have bought a ibanez gsr 200 in pearl white which i really like the sound of the added active pick-ups. i'm running it though a fender rumble 100watt which has a nice sound but i need something a bit louder as our band has started playing gigs and i feel that my bass isn't heard so much .. i don't have that much money to be honest with bills an mortgage and was wondering if anyone knew of either a cheap set up or if i can put an extra cab on my amp so that i can maybe put my amp on to the speaker .. any suggestions welcome cheers guys looking forward to your ideas thanks again mark
