4. Hi Sean, is the SVT Classic for sale? If so, how much?
5. Ian sold me an Earthquaker Devices Tone Reaper. Good communication, delivered quickly, as described and well packaged. Thanks again! Paul

8. Bought a G&L L2000 USA from Andy. The bass was in excellent condition and was very well packaged. Good communication and smooth transaction. Thanks again Paul
9. Looks amazing. Id still rather buy a 60s and two 70s for that price though. Does anyone know how much this would have retailed for in 1952?
10. I'm sure the bassist from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds uses Ampeg SVT's with a Precision and his tone on 20,000 Days On Earth is perfect. If it was me, I'd invest the full £800 on a good, used valve head. There's an Orange Ad200b for sale on here just now and that would be spot on for the type of music you play.
11. I really wanted one of these. It sounded a lot closer to the tone in my head than I get from my Thunderverb 200. I think it was retailing at about £1300.
12. Great basses. How does it compare to your Toaster T-40? I have a 1979 T-40 through an Orange Thunderverb 200 and Ive been swaying towards getting a G&L for a punchier tone.
13. Purchased a Digitech Whammy from Andy. Very easy to deal with, very well packaged and as described. Thanks again!

17. Sounds cool. I've seen those pedals going for cheap before without giving them a second look as well.
18. Thanks Danny, I think I prefer the idea of it to how it actually sounds in application. I would be tempted if it caught me off guard one day in the 'for sale' forum though.
19.
http://lehle.com/EN/...tch-Sonic-Spark Edit: found a good demo! https://www.youtube....h?v=k2kp_GHj2lw

i used to have a darkglass harmonics booster, pretty much did exactly what your saying you need, added no dirt to the signal but added a bit of a bite https://www.youtube....h?v=hMflmQIrFe8 andy

What you're describing sounds like the Aphex Exciter or BBE Sonic Maximizer. There are pedal versions of each; I haven't tried them but both are designed to generate extra upper harmonics to liven up your signal.
Cheers guys. These are exactly what I was looking for. They aren't quite there tone wise but the idea behind them is what I had in mind. Andy, how much did you end up selling the Harmonic Booster on for?
Might be worth getting in touch with DHA (Dave Hall Amps) as his pedals seem to add some nice harmonics on the lower gain settings.
Funny you mention that man. I was looking at the Dave Hall stuff a few days ago wondering if the 'Q mid' controls do something along the lines of what Im looking for to tweak my tone slightly.
20. I was wondering if there is a pedal that 'dirties up' your tone a bit by adding upper harmonics. Not necessarily a gain pedal but a pedal that specifically adds extra harmonics and overtones to your sound? Does such a pedal exist?
21. Agreed. I have one as well and they are amazing pedals.
