3.
Thanks to those of you who responded. Am I right in thinking that reverb (and tremolo) are not popular pedal effects?
It depends what your goal is. I like reverb, but it only really works in context. This sounds amazing, to me anyway - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUYGChaQqj0 As does this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eTBc7aWBGw

  5. Thanks for your replies. Only asking 'cos I see there's quite a big price difference.
  6.
Plus, only certain guitars/basses - in my view - look good with wear on them anyway. Fenders spring to mind quite quickly. Other makes, such as PRS to me look much better in immaculate condition.
Agreed, but they're actually Fenders I was referring to.
  7. I don't see the point either. 99/100 the guitars look totally fake. People who buy expensive instruments tend to look after them, regardless of whether they're a pro or not. I personally know 2 guys who have 1970's basses/guitars. Both are in excellent condition, nothing beaten up about them. My Modulus is 15 years old, it'd pass as being 6 months old.
  8. What's the difference between it and the 'normal' analogue chorus ? Anyone compared them ?
  9. Just bought a TC Hall of fame, Dolphin music are doing them for £109 including free postage .
  10.
Trade only?
Doesn't have to be I guess, just can't be without an amp too long .
  11.
Stock pic for ya:
Thanks
  12. This is pretty much like new, comes with a MarkBass bag. It's slightly too big for me, I want the same thing in a smaller package so it'll fit in my gig bag. So I want to trade/swap for an F1 please.

Getting fed up of bumping type bump. So someone make me a realistic offer, or offer me one of the basses in my signature for a trade.

This is an amazing bass, it's just the string spacing and neck are a little too wide for me, compared to my main bass which is my beloved Modulus. I'm also getting another fretless in a week or so, and don't really need 2 fretless basses. This is in mint condition, looks amazing and sounds beautiful. To be honest I'm probably gonna keep it, but we'll see. Photos and all details are here - http://www.clementba...s/Clement%20268 I have had a John East preamp installed in it, so that's the only difference between the specs and the actual bass. Controls are identical, it's just a 2 band stacked knob volume and pan, and a separate control each for bass cut/boost and treble cut/boost. Collection from either Birmingham or London only, shipping possible, but I really would prefer collection or meet up somewhere. I have a YP railcard so could possibly deliver or meet, for train fare. No trades unless it's for something I can sell on quickly. 15. I kind of meant on a score, so you can play cello music without having to transpose the notation up, assuming you have a low B.
  16. In Birmingham there's this place which is really good http://www.theoxygenrooms.com Then there's this place at the other end of the spectrum, last time I was there it was a dump. I'm guessing it's probably used mainly by males. http://www.robannas-studios.co.uk The only one I've used in London is this one, very good but also quite expensive. The once they even charged us for using a keyboard stand. http://www.residentstudios.com/about-us/ I've been to one in Leicester a few times, just out of the city centre, that was good, but I don't remember the name.
  17. By the way, there's a load of cello scores here if anyone fancies playing some of this music. http://www.score-on-line.com/freescores.php?collection=cello
  18.
I haven't heard that for a while and had forgotten what a truly magnificent performance it was. Thanks for sharing Ambient. If I may be so bold, another great piece of cello music - one that has been 'done' by a number of virtuoso bass players but here in it's original form (as played by another of the giants of the instrument):
I've got the CD of that. Brilliant, nice to see it being played too , thanks for the link.
