  1. I've owned and gigged both the copper Realist and wooden version on the same bass. One thing to note is that the wooden version is a couple of mm thick and doesn't compress like the copper version, meaning that it slightly increases the bridge height on the E side. Doesn't sound like a lot but it was noticeable (as I didn't have an adjustable bridge at the time) when playing and I didn't like it, may have got used to it if i'd stuck it out though... Sound wise they were both quite similar but to me the wood version sounded more hollow somehow. I ended up switching to the copper version which sounded more like 'my bass but louder' at low volumes at least. I don't use a Realist anymore as I found it quite prone to feedback at higher volumes and I couldnt get a decent usable tone when needing to play loud. Ended up switching to a Fishman Full Circle that is a lot more feedback resistant, got it fitted by a luthier who also converted my bridge to an adjustable one at the same time. A KK BassMax is a cheaper option that is also quite feedback resistant. Hope that helps, Alex
  2. Cool vid. I reckon no. 3 and possibly no. 1 are P basses.
  3. I bought a Radial Bassbone from Paul. He was super easy to deal with and even held off posting the pedal for a week for me as i was just leaving for a festival at the time. Great seller
  4. My CIJ Mustang Bass fits nicely in one of these... https://www.thomann.de/gb/gator_gw_jag_guitar_case.htm
  5. Alex bought my Berg cab from me. Great guy to deal with 😎🤘
  6. Adolfredo bought my K&K Baby Bass from me, a pleasure to deal with, great communication and a lovely chap. Enjoy the bass! Alex
  7. Lovely 1 by 12 cab but i find myself sticking to my Mark Bass stuff these days. Original cover is a bit tatty Collection only but could meet halfway etc
  8. Regretfully i've decided to put this beauty up for sale as it's not getting enough use. It's a KK Baby Bass Traditional which i purchased brand new from KK in 2016. It's rarely left the house and is in almost new condition. I fitted a K&K bass max piezo pickup to it which i used to blend with the built in pickup if I needed to play arco. A bit of random selection of strings on it at the moment, if i was keeping it i'd probably get some Spiro solo's for it and tune them down to concert pitch. I don't want to post it so collection from Bristol only i'm afraid. Meeting halfway is an option. Mainly looking for a sale but would be interested in trades.
  9. We need a demo vid next!
  10. Yep i'm inclined to agree. My E serial jap P bass doesn't have CTS pots and no Orange cap either.
  11. Interesting to see another of these as I've been looking and I don't seem to see many come up for sale. If I do see any of a similar age (84-87 Fujigen) they seem to be reissue models of 50's or 60s precisions with spaghetti logo and the serial number on the neck plate instead.
  12. Yep sounds exactly the same as my E serial MIJ Fender P 👍
  13. WANTED - Markbass New York 121 or maybe a Bergantino EX112

  14. I bought a MIJ Fender Mustang bass from Dean. He was a pleasure to deal with and the bass is sweet!
  15. Hi Rick, I don't have a tab for it i'm afraid. I tried to play it as closely to what i heard on the original recording by Simon & Garfunkel and so worked it out by ear. Give it a go! Alex
  16. Yep i have a KK traditional i'm thinking about putting up for sale
  17. I was looking at this one on Reverb the other day. It's listed as an H serial no from 1990 in the title but in the description says its an 'I". To me that looks like an 'I' like on yours... https://reverb.com/uk/item/41104352-fender-fujigen-1962-reissue-precision-bass-mij-h-serial-1990-three-tone-sunburst Alex
  18. Recently bought Ash's MIJ Precision bass. Very quick and easy to deal with. Fast dispatch and well packaged. Cheers, Alex 😎
  19. Hi are you able to post this?
  20. Hi all, I want to replace the pickguard on my 1990 Korean P bass made in the Samick Factory. Any leads on a brand thats a good fit? I'm after a black one. I ordered a Harley Benton one a while from Thomann but it doesn't fit very well at all. Thanks in advance. Alex
  21. Thanks! I’m working on some more Cardiacs but yea it takes a while to work out what’s going on. Yea it’d be interesting to see a shredder attempt one
  22. Some great Joe Osborn melodic lines. This track nearly made it on to The Graduate instead of Mrs Robinson. It definitely has a better bass line...
