1.
May I ask what was wrong with the original tuners + bridge? Im guessing this is an entry level instrument?
I have absolutely no idea to be honest, you'll have to ask Thunderbird as he was the one who swapped em out
 2. A decent thread about these from that other site: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/carvin-b1500-review.421840/
 3.
Looking at the fuse rating in the photo of the rear panel - is this 120Vac and therefore needs a step-down mains transformer?
not sure about this one but mine has a toggle, you just slide that part along for UK power
 4. SOLD Price drop [#9] £160. I paid £250 for this a few months back, this is a total bargain! Going for £310 in Wunjo without the upgraded parts. Purchased from Thunderbird on here last year. Sad to lose this bass but i'm in urgent need of the cash. Fantastic short scale bass upgraded with GOTOH tuners and a Wilkinson bridge. Little beast, sounds amazing with a lovely neck. Missing a string, slight fret buzz on low E but otherwise good to go. In terms of wear, there is a tiny dink on one side, no big deal. Pick up a bargain! Based in London. Cheers, Dan
 5.
Cheers for the props! Maybe you could point said BC'er in this direction? Or, PM me with info and I can chat to them...
Done. I have a hunch that he may have found something since we last spoke, fingers crossed.
 6. I love mine so much you'd have to give me double this to even consider parting with it. If I had the cash (and wasn't aware of a certain BC'er desperately after one ) I would snap this up without a doubt. GLWTS.
 7.
Thanks! I'll have a look if I can find a PT-2 soft case. Incidentally... I don't think the hard case is crap. It's quite solid and I've been using it for years even as riser for my cab(s) and it's still in one piece. It's a bit scuffed, of course, but that's the whole point of a hard case isn't it? To take the hits your gear would otherwise take...
Like I said, this was a copy&paste job. Totally agree with you though, I used to have a handmade (crap) pedalboard and even an infamous cardboard one.
 8. Pinched from The Gear Page forum: "IIRC, Guitar Center asked Pedaltrain to build a board and hardcase, but something that wasn't as expensive as their normal ATA hardcases. The result was the PT-1. The board is just fine, but the hardcase is a piece of crap. If you use it, it won't last 3 months. The PT-2 is 2 inches longer than the PT-1, that's the only difference. If you want a PT-1 softcase, just buy a PT-2 softcase. If nothing else, you can space your pedals out a little, and I guarantee somewhere down the road you'll be thankful for those extra 2 inches (yes, I know, TWSS)"
