1. hoping this is in the right place?! im looking into getting a camera to record my band, and also to record little video clips as we record or are writing new stuff to put up on our myspace and our our site and youtube channel. anybody know a good place to start? as there are about 5 million of them on the market?. not even got a budget atm but would ideally not like to spend a stupid amount on one. andy
 2.
I've owned a couple (white and sunburst) and played a few - they are amazing value for what you pay for. The neckdive didn't bother me but as Jean Luc Pickguard says, an easy fix. I would always recommend one to anyone curious over trying one.
thanks man! i think im gonna have to try one! im liking the look of the gothic all black one! i'd be using it in a few live songs and would possilbly change a pickup or both on it. but love the look! and ive also heard the neck dive thing is fixable so im not to bothered by it. im thinking the pro maybe the way to go, but i do like bolt on necks! so may try out the norm epi bird first, the 5ers any good? also can you fit a ba bridge on a bird? andy
 3. Im gonna have to get one with out trying? cant afford a real t bird, is there a huge difference or not? i know there neck is a bolt on as oppose to neck thru. andy
 4. just got my distortion amp! let the backlash begin! lol i tried it out thru a 8x6 ampeg cab the sound of the lm2 effected worked really well with the svt pro 6 that i set up and played along with it, and for 399 i couldnt say no! the cab im saving up for know hopefully will still be there in a few months! the cab in the pic is the micro vr 210 cab! got it for 270 and am planning on getting the head to match down the line but can use this with the lm2 for practicing atm. andy
 5. hi guys im doing some recordings on the weekend and im gonna try using our drummers trace elliot v4 to put some distortion thru, but its come around so quickly that im struggling to find a way to split my signal. the more i think bout it the lehle splitter box i tried was broke as there was a significant drop in volume when both channels were on, so wnt be getting that. anyone know anything i can pickup asap? also is it ok to run a head with no cab? andy __________________
 6. im interested if its still for sale? how much would postage to Plymouth be? would depend on me making and offer. andy
 7.
Pick up a rolls SX 21 or a Samson X-over or similar, and a small mixer. Run your bass into the crossover, and send the low pass to the mixer, and the hi pas to your efx. Mix and adjust crossover point to desired balance between bottom and fuzz, send mixed signal to your SVT. o need to buy another cab if the cab you use is loud enough and goes low enough for you.
wont the signal be distorted tho? ie wnt have one clean and on dirty? andy
 8.
Ok could some just clarify a few thing for me then, at the minute im going to buy either a 410 HE or 410HF on their own would both of these work fine on their own and im planning on on adding 115 would all of these work together as the 115 and 410HE are 8ohm ahd tye 410HF is a 4 ohm
well you'll need another 4 ohm cab to use the 410hlf, also by the looks of it meaning you'll only get 600w at 2 ohms as you can't bridge it?, the he be fine at 8 ohms but i dnt think you could bridge the pro 4? as it would might damage it? andy
 9.
Mind you, this looks interesting: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fulltone-Ultimate-Oc...#ht_1832wt_1167
that does look interesting! went to try out a few bits today, the whammy is a def no, sounded cool but probs something ill get at a later date for mucking about with. the 210 fender combo, was tbh, a bit of a let down! sounded nice for clean bass but the effects just didnt seem to work! i know before i get slated that they will for some but they didnt for me! so im back to square 1, gonna try and think of another way maybe even getting a guitar amp up there. andy
 10. Just looked into some pedals for my affects. Was wandering if you guys the the digitech wammy might be a good buy? It pricey but it can go higher as opose to my boss octave pedal which only goes down? Andy
 11. has anyone played the new fender bassman 250 210 combo by fender?
 12. well thought i'd let ppl know not that you really will care lol. decided to go back to a four piece once we find the right guy. sounds cool as a three but tbh there are solos and rhythm parts that we want to do live that we just cant with 1 guitar, and infact were going more the other way! as im looking at the moment into getting a separate cab and amp to run all my effects thru! ie big time fuzz and dis, plus some flanger and of course my wah! so it may end up sounding like there 3 guitars! lol http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=62572 here a link to that thread. andy
 13.
I wouldn't run it bridged into a 410HE, too much risk of damage IMO. Alex
+1 i would either get the 410 hlf and add a 115 later, or go for a one cab rig and get ah fridge or the 610hlf. i believe you can run it bridged into the 610 defiantly the 810. the pro-4's rule! andy
 14. also maybe interested, but ill wait for pics :-) andy
 15. well i think im going down the route of getting an extra 210 to put my effects thru. thinking of going with either a trace, eden, ashdown or gk mini rig gk wise im thinking of the 400rb as im thinking i could pick one up secondhand pretty cheap? or could grab a 700rb and use it as a backup aswell as effects amp? andy
 16.
A vid? Where? Just asking because I might go down the same road soon
well its a video of the bassist from clatter talking bout her rig, which is insane! here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6HbKRkPnpA andy
 17. thanks man just found a wicked vid that explained it to time to start looking for a cool little amp. that i can rackmount above my pro 6 :-) andy
 18.
Two rigs. Or 3, the SVT 8x10 cab be run as two 4x10s. Search biamp in the wiki, although for that sorta purpose might not want a crossover, just don't worry about low end loss on our distortion.
yeh sadly i dnt have a 810 or that would be prob solved, but also how do you run them so that your signal is going to both amps? andy
 19. hi guys im a bit cross about losing bottom end when i kick in an overdrive or distotion, i still want the savage nasty distorted tone but i want a nice rumbling deep bass tone underneath it. how do you go about setting up this, i know there gonna be a bit of work but im really intrigued and wanna try it out? i use a svt pro-6 going thru a 610hlf cab and was thinking of adding a loud 210 for the effects and that? ive googled and cant find any sort of drawing that show how to do it? andy
 20.
Ampegs are weird and schematics are hard to find. Do somehting easier. And sned that SVT to me. I'll send you a much simpler 1969 Carlsbro with a schematic for it.
nah im gonna take time and find a knackered one and im thinking im gonna build a baby one first! and work up. anyone know of a place that does such things in the uk? andy
 21. ive never even done anything like this apart from in school but im thinking it be a good project for me to take my time over as long as its a bit cheaper than an already made svt? which im thinking it might not be but who cares really as it may take months! years even! also does anyone know of any smaller kits like say a 50w valve amp that can be made diy, as im gonna learn as i go, or any good books that explain amp building so i can get my head round it. andy
 22.

dam man is that a sunn too! i wanna know what two 610's sound like! andy
 23.
yea i think each 2x10 is isolated on the 8x10 the 6 and 4 are both ported
thats it! although the 4 does handle lows better than the 6, but for low mids the 6 rules! i would love to have an svt driving 2 of them! andy
 24.
true
actually yeh doesn't the 810 have a baffle system or something? all the cabs 810,610 and 410 all have dif sound. andy
 25.
4X10 HLF Classic
+1
