1. Yes thanks Nik! Good to hear from you, I'll PM you, save keep bumping up this thread now it's not a priority!
 2. Bass now on hold, considering withdrawing. I'm beginning to hear the words of the other Musician owners telling me to keep it!
 3.
The thing that really bugs me about the 'club' threads on TB is that it destroys the forum, because as others have suggested, you end up with forums within forums, and you have to fish through 10+ 'club' threads before you find a thread of interest. Having said that, I can understand the benefit of bass-specific threads. I wanted to find out more about the Cowpoke Precision I bought a few months ago, and sure enough there's a Cowpoke club on TB. From there I was eventually able to find things out such as what the different pre-amp controls did. I think if BC were to have 'club' threads, then they should be stuck on a separate sub-forum, so that they don't pollute the browsing experience that we all love here on BC.
^^ This is spot on! I started on TB before discovering BC and the Clubs were a great place to go to find information on specific brands... BUT I did find that aside from maybe the odd group here and there, it was hard work... obtaining the information you wanted through conversation was much like walking into a secluded 'locals' pub where everyone goes silent and just stares at you until you finish your cranberry juice and leave I get far more info on BC than I ever did on TB, I'm not trawling through 47 different threads to find out about one certain model of bass or waiting on a 'club' to get back to me. I think the reason BC is more helpful is because we aren't secluded into little cliquey groups, we're much more open. ...... That said, a separate, sub-forum for brand specific threads is a great idea. Information gathered together without polluting our lovely clean atmosphere

 7.
Keep it. I regret selling mine and will keep my Peavey T-40 for that same reason even though I never play it.
Definitely thinking about it more and more!
 8. Wow... thanks for the info guys... I do know someone through work who knows a bit about pianos so I shall roper her in if I can. I'll widen the search to keyboards too for now! Thanks Ollie
 9. Well it's nearly Christmas (in case you hadn't noticed!) and apparently I've been tasked with finding a half decent piano to buy mother as a Christmas present. I thought I'd ask about and see if anyone can point me in the right direction as pianos really aren't my forte. (geddit!? geddit? oh never mind) Obviously we're looking for the best we can get, but essentially we want a straightforward piano that is compact, upright and isn't going to be a pain to fix or service. Our budget is up to around £300, give or take a bit. We just want something with a good reputation that isn't going to give us a headache for years to come. Been on the various auction and selling sites in the UK but really not entirely sure which pianos are going to be dogs and which ones are diamonds in the rough, so any advice on what's good and what's bad is more than welcome! Thanks in advance! Ollie
 10.
Still Sweet. Compared to so many other instruments out there (and there are many other great ones, as well) these things just Ooooooozze Quality. It's only when you get the chance to play one, you realise. Good luck with the sale - worth every penny.
Thank you! It's-December-but-not-quite-Christmas-Bump
 11.
try setting to 48 and then adjust the sample rate buffer - after updating the driver,of course...
So I've just tried setting to 48 (as well as using the other variables) but to no avail. I've tried all combinations... between the Quad and GB as well, not that there are many. Still stuck! Would an audio recording be more helpful?
 12.
I've updated all drivers
All drivers are updated. I'll try the 48 sample rate, thanks!
 13. I'm hoping to find some answers here! I've been using Garageband on my 2009 iMac since I got it with no problems, and about 2.5 years ago I started using a Roland UA-55 Quad Capture interface to help with my recording. I've always used it simply for 2 channels, 1 for guitar, 1 for bass. Recorded regularly ever since. No problem. I recently updated my Mac to Mavericks, as well as Garageband to its latest version, but I've been experiencing problems. Every time I plug in any sort of instrument, bass, guitar etc, all I get are distorted cracks all over the guitar tracks, during both recording and playback. As if the input is too loud and causing an issue to the speakers. I've tried most of the variables I can and It isn't the speakers, or any of my gear, I've updated all drivers and re-installed Garageband as well as used the old version and nothing has changed. I am presuming it's to do with the update, as I've noticed other people complaining of the same thing across the internet, yet there doesn't seem to be a fix for it, not one that I can make head nor tail of anyway. The only thing that made a difference was to alter the sample rate on the Quad Capture, went from 44.1 to 192 and the problem increased, which leads me to believe there could be a mismatch between GB and the Quad Capture (if that makes sense at all) but all I can find on GB is a tick box to confirm 24bit, which makes no difference either way... Maybe I'm going mad... I'm hoping it's a simple issue rather than a bad update as its left me totally unable to record anything right now. I was wondering if other people have had this issue or might be able to lead me in the right direction? Thanks!
 14. Thought a little break may do the bass some good. Will soon briefly re-list here and on other sites. The price will not move from £700 BUMP
 15. Swapped my pedal and a bit of cash for a couple of pedals with Harry, pleasure to deal with, very quick postage and all in great condition! Very impressed! Thanks!
 16. Selling my very recently acquired MXR Bass Overdrive. Recently bought this from another BC'er but it isn't quite what I'm after! Great warm little pedal and very flexible but I've decided I really want something particularly nasty, so it's going to have to go to make room! It's in great condition with original box and bits but has velcro on the bottom from the previous owner. £75 posted. My DOD Bass Graphic EQ FX42B is much like the BOSS GEB-7, same idea, same controls. Work's great and is grand for gutting some of your less favourable frequencies and boosting the more pleasurable ones. Gives a bit of gain if you boost it the whole way up, very effective if used right. No box or bits, but in great condition. No idea on age. Owned for about 6 months. £25 posted Can provide more pictures if necessary! Ignore the other pedals, it's just the DOD Bass EQ on the far right that's for sale, the others I no longer have.
 17.
I used a 210 rbh with a neo115 and 700 rb for a long time and it was a great rig. But you're right, the rbh cabs weigh about as much as a house (used to have a 410rbh - crikey).
Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna hunt down a 212 or 115 neo, whichever comes first!
 18. Thought I'd also piggy back this thread, as it seems to be where all the knowledge is at the moment! I've been using my GK 700RBii and 210RBH for a few years and I love it, my perfect tone straight away. Happy Days . However through my extensive and increasing use of effects, my cab has started to migrate across the rehearsal space of it's own wobbly accord, and I've been recommended to get myself another cab to help... ease the load! Anyway, I've been searching daily for 2/3 months for another RBH 210 cab (or anything else RBH for that matter) and apart from the fact they are so expensive new or second hand, they are also as rare as rocking horse excrement. And they weigh roughly 14 tonnes each. Roughly. So I was wondering if you guys reckon a NEO cab would sit in the mix just as well with the RBH? I'd probably get a 212 or 115. I still want the bi-amp function as it's a massive part of my sound, (I also want them to match aesthetically, but beggars can't be choosers now). From what I gather, the NEOs work just the same as the RBHs but at less price, less weight and they are more common... Are the NEO cabs just what I'm looking for, or do you reckon I should stick it out and wait for another RBH? (and a chiropractor while I'm at it) Thanks!!!
 19.
They'll be here in April?!
In an interview Trent did with Zane Lowe before the London gig in August he told us they'd be over in April. Technically Zane told Trent as he didnt have a clue but his manager had already told Zane hah! So yeah, looks like we get some NINage next year, fingers crossed for Brixton or Hammersmith over Wembley or the O2. Such bad venues now.
 20.
I always struggle to decide whether I preferred Jeordie or Justin playing bass for NIN - it's so close I just can't choose between them. Unfortunately, after watching some videos from the Tension tour, I'm really disappointed with Pino. Excellent bassist, not going to dispute that, and because his comfort zone is purely bass, NIN has live bass on songs like Head Like A Hole, Wish and March Of The Pigs now, which has never happened before. But he just looks so out of place, is completely stationary while playing and to be honest, looks entirely uninterested in being there I'm sure that's not the case, but that's just the way it comes across.
I really enjoyed the 'mood' jeordie brought to NIN, knowing his musical background helped make it all the more exciting for him to bethere for me, plus of course he was flanked by Aaron North and it was my first NIN live experience so for me I think he cuts it's slightly more but since learning more about JMJ I'm beginning to think he was probably the best suited musically out of the pair. On the Pino theme, I totally agree, the videos I see are the usual chaos on stage with a 50-something Welshman bobbing his head in the middle... Definitely seems out of place... Maybe he should stand at the back next to Cortini and Ilan? Still bring the low end but behind the chaos? I wonder if he'll still be in the groove when they get to the UK in April..?
