1. Bump! Had a bit of interest but nothing's come through so far! Great bass at a great price!
2.
Er.. Don't you mean 10.8 lbs? Nik
That does sound better, I'll reweigh it when I get a decent set of scales, hopefully tomorrow.
3. Thank you Nik, very much appreciated! Always a pleasure to see you pop up on a thread!
4. Bought a pedal off Groan! Although it didn't work out for me, he was superb in dealing with and understanding what needed to happen and very reliable. Superb shipping speed from Croatia to the UK. Genuine and honest chap, would definitely deal with him again!
5. Hi guys, selling a couple of pedals I don't really use. [s]MXR Bass DI - £50 posted[/s] SOLD Ya'll know about this pedal by now. Great little DI with separate distortion channel. No box. [s]Earthquaker Devices Pitch Bay- £150 posted [/s]SOLD Bought this pedal about 6 months ago but haven't used it in my projects since then so figured I'll shift it on. This thing is great fun, produces a tuneable higher tone and tuneable lower tone as well as your dry signal and a very aggressive drive section which works well on its own. Comes with box and all original bits, etc. Both pedals are in excellent cosmetic and working condition and I can post pictures if anyone is interested. Both pedals have velcro on the bottom. Oh and I'm open to trades, an envelope filter would be good! 3leaf, Iron Ether and EQD are currently my favourites! 6. For Sale or For Trade. My June 1982 Ibanez Musician. I purchased this about 4/5 years ago, shipped from Japan after a long search for the right one. This is a fantastic bass and as much as I love it, I haven't played it properly in about a year and there are other things I'm interested in. If you're looking at this bass, I'm assuming you already know about it, so I won't babble on too much, so any other questions about it, please drop me a message. The bass is in almost perfect condition, has the original case, PLUS all the original hand signed and dated case candy from the Ibanez Production line. It has a few dinks on the edge, I shall try to include these in the photos, but they are only superficial and don't take anything away from the bass's beauty or its playability. Electronics are perfect and physically it is perfect too (aside the dinks). Photos: http://s858.photobuc...anez%20Musician I'm looking for £650 and I'm happy for collection / drop off etc within reasonable distance. I'm based in Worthing, Sussex. I will ship the bass though it may take time for me to get my arse in gear!! Weight: With case 9.5kg Without case 4.5kg Trade wise I'm really looking for a 4 string, Precision style bass, so hit me up with any offers. I'm especially keen for Lakland/ G&L / Sandberg or Fender at the moment. Oh and I'm REAL fussy on colour, I like neutral, not bright fancy colours or patterns. Except for the red Pino style P bass. Yum. or a white & rosewood P. Yum. May be open to other passive 4 strings too, so hit me up! Not looking for cabs/ amps, BUT I'm always up for pedals. 7. Here is a link to a brief video showing the problem. https://www.dropbox....EO0034.mp4?dl=0
8. The chap has been very fair and offered a refund or to pay for repairs, plus it's not that easy to get hold of as far as I can tell so if I can resolve it, I'd like to. I'll try and get a video up later.
9. Hi all. So I recently purchased, via here, an Iron Ether Subterranea. When I got it home, I plugged it in, had a quick play, no problems, all happy. The tracking may have been a bit more wobbly than I was lead to believe in some videos, but I assumed that was my problem (high output bass or something). I plugged it in a little while later to have a proper muck about and zilch! The light comes on, but no-one is home. It is making noise, but only when there is a VERY high input level, but it still doesn't work properly. A bit crackly. More crackly than it should be anyway. When I take the cable out of the bass and touch the very tip, it seems to respond like it should do, as far as I can tell anyway. When I do that AND touch the top two toggles or the actual footswitch or the backplate, the noise cuts out. Plug it into a bass or another pedal and the pedal cuts out. Almost like when you get interference from a high gain pedal but it goes away when you touch the strings on your bass. I've tried every combination of pedals, cables, basses and power supplies (including my Voodoo Labs PP2+) I can find and nothing has made a difference. I've opened up the back and had a look inside, but it's spotless, very compact, and I can't see any obvious faults at all. I am guessing it's some form of grounding issue but I have no idea what to do. It's so clean and tidy inside that I can't actually find anything to go wrong. Any ideas? Might be able to post up a video of what I mean if that helps. PS The chap I bought it off is a perfect gentleman and assures me it was in working order before sending it. I have emailed Iron Ether to see what they say, but figured I'd try here anyway as you lot are usually spot on!
10. Bought a pedal from Guy, great service and communication, and swift delivery, couldn't be happier. Thanks!
11. Bought a pedal from Javier, great service and communication, and swift delivery, couldn't be happier. Thanks!
12. Got my pre-order on Friday night at Juan Alderete's GAK/EQD clinic. It's so much fun, it's pretty extreme but fairly useable, even through my practice guitar amp at home, I can still dial it in without destroying the place. Can't wait for rehearsal this week! And gig on Saturday!
13. Ahh yes of course, Badlands, I bought my G&L from there recently. Nice chap. Thanks for all the advice, people, much appreciated, I'll get on it!
14. Thanks for the recommendations! Tried all possibilities including cables, batteries, amps, roadies, groupies etc but just nothing at all thus far, I'll try and nip into Brighton over the weekend!
15. Hello all. Last night after one song in rehearsals my bass completely died on me. I was planning on changing the battery and found the old one to be boiling hot when I did... Leads me to suspect that it is short circuiting somewhere. I've checked all possibilities that I'm able to do and it just won't work, not even in passive mode, though my tuner is detecting sound, its essentially not working. I've got a gig on the 11th and I really want to get it sorted by then. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tech local to Worthing/ Brighton or maybe point me in the direction of a self help guide? (Not that sort of self help guide!) Many thanks all!
16. Ooooh I seee! It never really occurred to me that drop octaves and sub boost were different things, but of course, it makes a lot more sense now. Awesome, I want one even more now. My bank account is really going to hate me
17. Out of interest how would people compare the meatbox to the sub octaves on the pog2? I have a pog and was gonna get a meatbox but if the -2 Oct is similar then there may be no need...?
18. Surprised they didn't think of that, especially with so many high profile players using them lately. Still, if it's in the region of £70-£80 like the other DOD re-issues, I certainly won't say no!
19. Old thread but Juan just popped this up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KBSVXrtTkU Looks like it's on its way!
20. Selling my SS/BS Buzzz pedal I bought about Christmas time for £120 off of ebay. It's an early model (number 45 to be precise), so it's a bit different from the current ones on sale, but not drastically. This pedal is great with bass and offers tons of low end, it makes use of a second foot switch that lets you turn on the scooped mids or the octave up. The scooped sound is very heavy with plenty of bass. Sounds great on guitar, too. All in perfect working order, with original box etc. Selling because I have a few fuzzes and I want other pedals! Works great with ACTIVE basses too, which is another bonus for you 9v slingers like me. Will have velcro on the bottom, but I can remove that if you'd like. £100 posted within the UK. Will add pictures shortly.
21. I did wonder about grounding. Thank you, good idea. I'll get in touch and see what comes back. Should have thought of that really!
22. I recently bought a Smallsound/Bigsound Buzzz second hand off of eBay. It's an older model, #45, one of the gold hand painted jobbies sent to an EU music shop I think. Anyway, it worked fine for 2/3 minutes but started giving me crazy unwanted noise, and now that's all it does when I plug it in, totally unusable. If I just plug in the output it hisses like it's not grounded. When I touch the metal case of my patch cable, it ceases. (yes I've tested with other cables, and in different places in the chain etc), but when I plug in the input as well it gets even worse and farts out horrible noise, not like a hiss more just like a nasty loud feedback. Like someone just hung up on you over the phone but more obnoxious! The sound is largely unchangeable, twiddling the knobs makes a small difference in volume but doesn't really change it drastically. I've opened her up and I really can't see any obvious flaws, it's tidy and well made inside. I'm hoping I haven't bought a dodgy pedal. They're not that common over here so I'd like to make as much of an effort as I can to make it usable. Any thoughts? I'll put some pictures up if necessary, in the mean time this is the original listing. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Smallsound-bigsound-buzzz-Fuzz-Pedal-/131374469282?ssPageName=ADME:X:BOCOR:GB:1123
