  1. You sound like my first wife….
  2. That’s how I got hit with the injunction in the first place….
  3. Interesting. I might be sending you a PM….. 😁
  4. Does this mean we all have a share in the bass? Like, it’s a communal asset now? Maybe we all get to take turns with it for a week? In which case I’ll be in my eighties before I get my hands on the thing…
  5. That’s a fair point - I haven’t watched the Beeb for donkeys’ 😁
  6. Might be worth trying them again? Telly bods love a back story and the delays, broken promises and such like are all the right kind of stuff to make good telly… Surely we have some folk on here with contacts?
  7. You utter, utter barstewards, the lot of you. I have been bawling like a bluddy gurl all the way through this thread. What’s that telly show where they do DIY stuff for folk? With that Nick Knowles. Somebody drop them an email, this sounds right up their street…. I need to go blow my nose now. Hayfever, that’s what it is. Hayfever.
  8. I’m sure you’re right but what I don’t understand is how he’s managing to game the figures. According to eBay, he’s sold 754 items. He’s received 2010 reviews (at least 1,256 of them for purchases he’s made, presumably) and all of them are positive. A quick look at the feedback from people who’ve purchased shows that they’re from multiple accounts, each with decent amounts of feedback so they seem legit. I can’t believe that nobody has given a bad review. But equally, I can’t believe that he’s gone to the trouble and expense of setting up and operating multiple eBay accounts just to pretend-buy from himself (and pay the associated fees) just to leave himself glowing feedback. The absence of 1 star reviews suggests that he’s fudging the figures somehow. I just don’t see how?
  9. I know. It’s helpful that he confirmed that, otherwise one might have thought it was being set up by some cack-handed amateur. 2000+ reviews, 100% positive - that’s the real achievement here.
  10. At least he’s up front about how ham-fisted he is with tools… “A new neck and almost new body, but my tools slipped a couple of times so there are some scratches. A full pro set up by me in progress but I spoiled the new high G string so that one is different.” I am filled with confidence that this has been through the hands of a master craftsman.
  11. Adam Black punch well above their weight. https://www.guitar.co.uk/adam-black-s-5-natural-acoustic-guitar?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_amzVk378lRbw81uwWhPnzKI5uC&gclid=CjwKCAjw1NK4BhAwEiwAVUHPUBDnHxsMM3BWVj9vZhpk5i2xy-m6FnISjlKs75CamR1lJl73NN7KaRoCFiMQAvD_BwE In that category there’s also Tanglewood which are also decent.
  12. I need to make some more room quickly so up for sale is the Eastman T386 semi-hollow that I bought from Guitar Galleries in Beverley a couple of years ago. Condition is immaculate and Eastman build quality is well known. Comes with original Eastman hard case. Priced to move quickly - available to try here in Nottingham or PM to discuss meet/drop-off options. Thanks for looking

Has anyone noticed how much brighter a place BC is when Young Teebs pops his head round the door? Has anyone thought what a happy chappy he is and how he lifts the mood with his cheeky manner? Thought not. Me neither.

Strickly speaking, I believe it all started when you and @Ricky 4000 hijacked @fleabag‘s thread about his PC. That was when you was banished to the DoI. Troublemaker.

Is that the Frankie Howard remake of The Manchurian Candidate?
  17. TBH, I was hoping for pictures but then I realised I’d misunderstood. Aaaaanyway…. Could it be a dead string? I recently took a set off a bass to do some work, put them back on and must have managed to crease the D string as it went completely lifeless and dull sounding….
  18. It would be silly and childish. So yes, obvs. 😁
  19. Exactly what I did - even though I’ve now stopped gigging, I still use them as in-ear headphones with my hi-res music player.
  20. I got these https://acscustom.com/uk/products/universal-fit-iem/pro-fit/ Take off the generic ear buds and the drivers fit where the filters go in the custom ear plugs…
  21. Another vote for ACS. I’ve used their custom ear plugs for years. I got their in-ear buds a couple of years ago. I use them with a behringer personal headphone amp and they fit directly into the custom ear plugs I had made about 9 years ago (they replace the filters). A comfortable and custom in-ear monitor for quite reasonable money.
  22. Price Drop now £150 Now I’m not gigging I don’t need my collapsible keyboard stand. This is the baby spider pro (18840) and comes with the original carry bag. Condition is excellent and this is rock solid in use with a 61 key Korg on it. There’s a thread for a mic extension arm or a tablet holder - if I can find it in time I’ll include an iPad/universal holder at no charge. This weighs a fair bit so post isn’t really an option so collection from Nottingham or I can deliver within a reasonable distance - please PM to discuss options. Thanks for looking!

  23. I assume your setup is like mine? Everything plugged into the AVR box and a single HDMI into the back of the telly? Could it be a duff HDMI cable? A duff TV input? Duff output on the Humax? Is there another HDMI input in the TV that you could try? Or another TV that you could use for test purposes? Or try the Humax box direct into the TV? You’ve probably tried those permutations but there might be one you’ve missed…
